Hi, Hope you’re recovering well! Are you having any Physiotherapy treatments for your facial palsy? How’s it? Or what would you suggest to me as my one of the relative just got diagnosed this disease on acute level! Thank you and god bless you. 🙏🏻
Do you still have bell palsy let me know because I had it and I found out a way to fix it it works for everybody well it should because it came from an urban list Chinese herbalist
I recovered!! 💗💗💗💗💗 it took about 3 weeks! I did exactly what you suggested. Took it easy and just relaxed and let my body heal. Anxiety was a huge part of the problem because I thought my face was going to be stuck like this forever. So when I was searching on TH-cam for a video that could help me deal with it I happen to come across this video, and it totally helped! Thank you so much calming my nerves and giving great advice. I have an appt with my primary doctor on the 29th of this month. I'm so grateful and thankful for your help! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
I'm very happy to hear that you have recovered fully! Staying positive and calm is indeed very important for the recovery. I'm glad our video helped you with that.
This video helps me a lot going through my bells palsy right now.. But did you mention if you have any pain in the back of your ear constantly? The pain is not very intense but always there. I'm on my 20th day, but still no progress yet
Hope! Thank you for commenting.I got "facial weakness" after doing a neurosurgical procedure in January of this year. Two of the main thorns that accompany this facial weakness are an irritated eye and an incomplete smile.I miss my whole smile and don't smile in pics anymore.I used to love "cheesing" in pics. You are lucky that the recovery with your face took only 3 weeks, because my main doctor said it should heal with time. It's been months and let's just say I am impatient with the healing. You and the others with longer recovery time give me hope.I will have even greater appreciation for my smile when(I said it) it is back in it's full glory.
I got diagnosed Bells palsy two days ago, and I was so overwhelmed so when I after half a day left the hospital, I really had no other info than to take prescribed Prednisolon. It has been two-thee days of surreal feelings and thoughts about recovery, and got for the first time a sick leave for a whole next weekIt is annoying with dry eye, Guinea pig eating with all the food gathering on the palsy side, the numbness, trying to drink. I am thirty years old. Tonight I came across your video and I got so relieved and calm by what you said. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I really, REALLY, needed this. Now I now that it is right to take the whole next week as sick leave to recover.
Thank you for your kind words. We wish you a full and quick recovery! If you will have further questions about Bell's palsy, you can take a look at our Knowledge Base to learn more: crystal-touch.nl/bells-palsy-knowledge-base/
I just got back from a physiotherapist. As I expected, I was given more than 14 exercises to perform 6x per day 10 reps each. I am lucky if I fit it one exercise in the day as my right eye can't even blink. This has just built up my stress level so high. I go to these people looking for help and it's always homework, homework. That was my first and last visit.
This is by far the most helpful video I've seen about Bell's palsy. It gives me more hope. It's very helpful. Thank you very much for taking time to explaining things nice and clear.

Thanks for a very informative video! I was just diagnosed with Bells Palsy and despite it seeming like a rather mild case, I am of the age (58) where friends and family really worry over every little thing that could go wrong. This video will help all those who are worried about me feel more at ease and THAT will make things so much easier for me. Thanks again!

Thank you for this video! Your calming demeanor and encouraging words give me a lot of hope. I am about a week into Bell's Palsy for the second time in 3 years (opposite sides too!). I think I previously had Ramsey Hunt, as it was a long recovery time, I lost all facial movement and now a fair bit of synkinesis. I wish I would have come across this video then. I have much more hope this time thanks to your videos, website information and that I still see some movement that never left my face. Thank you again!
Thank you, Doctor. There is so much information out there and some of it is completely contrary to others. Some say rest, some say don't rest. I came across one site today that talked about mouth and eye exercises, 30 times each, 4 times a day. I did just one set but now hearing your advice, I will not continue with the other three. Also, thank you for the part about "don't panic" and "don't despair." That truly helps emotionally.
Thank you, I just was diagnosed this weekend, I knew something was happening, I knew it wasn't a stroke, but I knew something has started. I took the Moderna shot, I am 99.99% sure it came from it. Reason from the very first shot I had symptoms' and they never stopped starting with the headache, ear hurting, ect., I never have had ear hurting or anything close, it doesn't run in my family so I am very sure it came from the Moderna Shot. I thank you for helping us and knowing how to take care of BellsPalsy. I do not think I have it as bad as most people, I think because I went to the ear as soon as I felt my face starting to droop, and couldn't swallow water or whistle, a thing I do to call my cats to come and eat. Again Thank you for taking the time to help us:) , PS according to CDC trials were done and sure enough people got the BellsPasly a mont after to the date as did I and sure enough to the date it happen. That to me points to the shot:(

Thank you for creating this video. I was diagnosed a week ago with Bells Palsy. I got very little information from my doctor and was kind of left to get on with it. You have clarified a lot of questions I had and your video gave me confidence that there is an end to this. Thank you so much, I have, for the first time since diagnoses, peace of mind. I know what to do now. Thank you 👍 😊
Thanks a lot I'm on day 7 of Bell's Facial Palsy and having such a tough time. The video and approach really help to take a breathe and provides some confort
Thank you so much for this video. Loved the explanation and it calmed me. I was diagnosed with this 5 days ago on my 38th of pregnancy and it has been very stressing. I had been wanting to force my face to function and it is quite frustrating. I need patience to let my face recover and this explanation really encouraged me to do that and also focus on my son who will arrive in 3 days!
Super curious how this turned out for u? I’m 20 Weeks pregnant, diagnosed with bells 5 days ago and my right side of face is frozen. I need some hope 💜💜
Was just diagnosed yesterday and I'm almost 32 weeks pregnant. Started on 60mg of prednisone daily for 7 days and an antiviral med. How long was your recovery? ❤
Thanks for this wonderful video. I went to the dentist and got a deep cleaning. 2 days later I was washing my face and brushing my teeth, I realized the water would not stay in my mouth. I was gonna pass out in the bathroom room. I call the dentist they told me I would be ok,with no help at all.smh I had no idea what was going on with me, so I went to the urgent care and the doctor immediately order a CT scan on my head and gave me steroids. She was so helpful. Few weeks later and my face feeling much better 😌
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I am currently suffering from Bell's Palsy (left side of my face). Thankfully there is no damage to my C-7 nerve. The information in this video is a great source of comfort and knowledge for me. Much appreciated.
TY for the emphasis on calm and relaxation during a very stressful time. We are grateful it was not a stroke but, B.P. is still frightening because it is unknown. I agree despair , panic and negative emotions will not aid healing. I will do very light gentle massage to help relax for rest and sleep of my friend. I will do research on what it is causes and treatment since my friend cannot see. We have a 6 day wait for a specialist. You helped our attitude and motivation to be one of calm relaxation for the body to heal itself. TY Blessings✨
Thank you....I suffered from Bells palsy for the past 7 years....I cant explain the emotional toll this has taken on me....I am going to try all the things you have suggested because is my last resort. My daughter is getting married in 6 mos. And I wanna be able to take pics without feeling self-conscious.....
Most importantly, stay calm and love your face the way it is, don't let it enjoy your life to a lesser extent. Your smile is beautiful in any way it is, when it is genuine and happy.
Thanks alot for the great and helpful video . Unfortunately my Mom got last week Bell's palsy because of hypertension her blood pressure was too high and after that she can't smile she can't close her eyes. And I will say your advice to her and I wish that it helps her to get recovery.
I have left-sided facial paralysis following surgery to remove a tumor at the base of my brain. My surgeon has stated that the likely paralysis recovery time is 6 months. Several specialists (at NYU Langone) have encouraged exercises as part of my recovery therapy. I'm doing those exercises, but can feel absolutely nothing on the affected side. I do feel touch there however and slow massage feels great. I can only hope that I regain control of my face many months from now...
We hope as well that you will recover. You feel the touch, warmth and other sensations on your affected side because in our face, senosry and motor signals are transmitted using different nerves. In facial palsy, due to swelling, only the motor neuron becomes affected - so you lack movements but you still feel all the sensations. The sensory nerve is not affected. There is a possibility of developing some residuals and complications, following the long recovery. Make sure to pracice facial relaxation and gentle massages, as suggested in this video. This, potentially, may help you to reduce the severity of possible residuals. Try not to go too hard on the exercises. In our experience, the harder you try to tense your facial muscles, the higher are the chances to develop synkinesis or contractures later on. Facial relaxation is your best friend in this case. If you will be interested in further advice, you can get back to us after at least 6 weeks since the onset (after your surgery) will pass. Then we will be able to have more details on your condition, see where this is going and how it could progress further. To get in touch you can send us an email (info@crystal-touch.nl) or register for a diagnostic session: crystal-touch.nl/online-facial-palsy-analysis/
Thanks Mr. Alex. You are a motivational speaker! You give hope to the hopeless and strength to the weak. After your explanations, bell's palsy seemed to be very little case. God bless you ❤
This was such excellent information! I have some other issues complicating my recovery,,but this was enormously reassuring despite my suspicion that I am going to have this permanently. I subscribed to your site and will regularly check in. Again,, I express my gratitude.

Thank you for sharing your expertise. This video is so informative and very appreciated. Looking forward to watching other videos from you. I have B.P. related to Lyme Disease. Thank you so much for your very encouraging words & useful tips. It is very soothing to the heart and gives us hope. God bless you for sharing your knowledge.
Woke up with it Monday morning. Thought maybe I slept wrong, and hoped that Tuesday’s morning would be back to normal. By Tuesday afternoon I was in the ER and diagnosed with Bells Palsey and given the steroid treatment protocol for 6 days. It’s Thursday now. Dr. Suggested it would clear up in 3 weeks, and after all this research the past couple days I can only hope that it’s the short term version and not the more serious one. I hope to update with good news soon!
You can also do "Neurological Tests" crystal-touch.nl/measuring-recovery-progress-after-bells-palsy/ to keep track of your progress. It will help you to see changes with time and stay more positive.
ZThankyou for the encouraging soothing words. Zi was trying too hard and you helped me to calm down following a mild stroke. The doctors initially thought I had Bell’s Palsey..
I 22 years old, i am from Croatia. At,3rd december 2020, i had tumor operation. Acustic neuroma. The result of that is Bell Palsy. Do you belive in acupuncutra, that helps to recovery the nerve? I am so sad that we dont have someone like your company in Croatia, they left everThing on me so me and my family are alone in this. I am young and i want to live normalčy, and get my smile back. So sad i cant afford to come to your clinic. You shoud put more videos like this! The main sentence here is: dont panic, thank you, i hope i will get my smile back.
Wow.. You are brilliant. Wish I had heard about you 2 year's ago... You are incredibly inspiring and have given me hope and peace of mind... Thank you so much
Really thankful I found this video. I’ve had this condition and symptoms the last 5 days. It’s scary…but with some of this knowledge, I will practice good habits & recover. Thanks. It’s 3am and I can’t sleep. One eye can’t close.
Wishing you a full and quick recovery! Stay hopeful and positive! If your eye does not close, please use special tape or moisture chamber to protect it during sleep and daytime.
Thank you so much Dr. P. You have helped me to understand a lot and answered a lot of my questions. Truly grateful. Was panicking was distressing l feel calm hopeful and you truly ave helped
Some part of my left C7 facial nerve was replaced with a sural nerve graft when i had surgery for tumor, it's been 8months now and I've also undergone radiation treatment, can you please advise me something ? What should be my next steps towards treating my facial paralysis ? AND also this video made me sooo much calm very big thumbsup
2 days after my first Pfizer shot I was in ER with Bell’s palsy. That was April 14, 21. I’m much improved after acupuncture with electrical stimulation. Now I have problems with the eye partially shut, impedes vision with reading and some other instances. Also the mouth is not completely back, lower lip is still somewhat high, a little “drooling” and speech is affected. I’m taking B12, L-lysine and want to add anything else that will help. But not sure what to do now. Maybe turmeric with cumin. Suggestions in this video make good sense and I’ll use all that apply to my situation.
Almost the exact same situation that I’m going through now after 2 Pfizer shots and one booster . The booster took me out and I’m 2 days into recovery so it will be a journey!
I went to the neurologist for my Bell’s palsy after being at the emergency room to rule out tumor & stroke & he did nothing said just wait & see what happens nothing you can do. Taking care of your eye 👁️ is one of the most important things. Not eating foods you can choke on is also a big thing. I got Bell’s palsy after trimalleolar ankle surgery.
I’m into 5 months since my diagnosis. Been seeing an ENT, Optometrist/ophthalmologist, have had 1 mri. Going to a neurologist in the morning. Scheduled for ct on my liver and another mri on my spine. I have spinal stenosis, partially deaf, type 2 diabetic, and a few other health issues. The pain in my right jaw and pressure in my eyes hurts. I also have muscle spasms in my face area.
My husband developed this two weeks ago, he saw a doctor right away ( VA) today has appointment with neurologist. He has so much jaw and face pain on the effected left side of his face and ear.
Hi, I've had post surgery palsy...it's almost 2months 3 weeks, no movement yet...Doctors were confident that Ill be fine within weeks post op, but I didn't. Now I'm really worried hearing to all these residuals : synkinesis, crocodile tears etc
I am 17 years old and I had bells palsy for 7 years. I never have any treatment before. I lost my all facial expressions. I am troubling with this.please reply me what should I do?
I've had this for over four months now, I thank you for this but I was also hoping for some more solid advice, I feel as if my whole body has been weakened.
Hello Joe. We cannot provide a more solid advice without knowing the details of your Bell's palsy. Each case is very individual, and when it comes to Bell's palsy, what can help one person, can either have no effect or even make it worse, in some other cases. The recovery of the facial nerve is a very delicate matter, and an unsuitable advice may have some potential negative effect. Which is why we do not provide any general exercises or other suggestions. If you would like to have a more solid advice on what to do in your specific case, we first need to analyse your condition to judge your level of recovery and muscle performance. We do this as part of remote diagnostics over a video call. You can find more details on our website: crystal-touch.nl/online-bells-palsy-diagnostic-session/
Thank you so much-just today I got the diagnosis and I will definitely lean into your suggestions. Funnily enough, though: the neurologist told me to do some facial exercises. I'd better listen to my body, though! Again: thank you! :)
@@CrystalTouchClinic I do - I have not only been doing this, but luckily I do lead a healthy lifestyle with supplements of Vitamins and Minerals. I was just thinking about something, a mother told me about some palsy effects with newborns- sometimes they do suffer from effects similar to that as they have an unfortunate position during birth. And it heals faster while they are breastfed and need to suck. That's why I drink out of a baby bottle for newborns (the smallest size) - which trains my area around the mouth. I am so fortunate to see effects even after two days, and that wows me! So, all of you should be trusting, and find yourself remedies, small and gentle ones, to bring your smile back in a loving way- not forcing it- because we are all beautiful!
I am 15 years old, and I have a Bells palsy since October(6 weeks). I had the 2. Pfizer doze on 13 September. What do you think, will it completely recover?
Dear Lucas, 6 weeks is still quite early. If your movements start returning soon, then there is a high probability of full recovery. But please do not force your facial movements. Wait for them to slowly and gradually return by themselves. They will not reinnervate all at once. First, your facial tonus will return - your affected side will look less flacid. You may also start feeling some tickling, vibrations, or similar feelings. That is a sign of your muscles beginning to reconnect with the facial nerve. Then, you should start noticing some muscles (it can be any of the facial muscles) twitching or moving slightly. These are all beginning signs of recovery. Soon after that the facial muscles will begin to move more. It is very, very important in this stage to not put pressure on your muscles. You might get excited seeing first movements and wanting to move them more, forcing them into facial expressions. Please try to avoid that. Because the reconnection with the facial nerve happens very slowly, not all muscles reconnect fully from the beginning, and you will be forcing only some parts of your muscles to do the movement of the full muscle. And that can lead to contractures. Take it easy. Recovery after facial palsy happens very slowly. If you won't be noticing any changes within a few months, that means that the recovery is following a long-term path and it may take longer for your facial movements to return. In this case, possibility of full recovery is less. But please don't get discouraged. If this will be the case in your situation, feel free to reach out to our specialists via info@crystal-touch.nl and we can help you from there.

@@JordyV- yes, in fact I just met a man at the Air and he got belksp., with the first dose of the merdorfa shot and he was worried about taking the second shot.
@@mishc2731 yes it is from the shot, I have spoken to so many individuals who have received the shots and have gotten bellsp., in fact I met a man who got it from the 1st shot of the merdorfa.
Do you still have it?
Thank you for creating this video. I was diagnosed a week ago with Bells Palsy. I got very little information from my doctor and was kind of left to get on with it. You have clarified a lot of questions I had and your video gave me confidence that there is an end to this. Thank you so much, I have, for the first time since diagnoses, peace of mind. I know what to do now. Thank you 👍 😊
Thanks for the video, I've been crying my eyes out. But I'm hopeful because of the video
Anifa can l please know how you are.
Hi Anifa, how are you now?
@@tatendamutedzi1753 hi did you or anyone you know suffer from Bells Palsly
Thank you very much for all the care and concern in helping us, patients. You are so kind, Dr. Pashov.
I have Bells at the moment , this is the best video with lots of info , thank you.
Thanks a lot I'm on day 7 of Bell's Facial Palsy and having such a tough time.
The video and approach really help to take a breathe and provides some confort
Are you recovered?
Thank you so much for this video. Loved the explanation and it calmed me. I was diagnosed with this 5 days ago on my 38th of pregnancy and it has been very stressing. I had been wanting to force my face to function and it is quite frustrating. I need patience to let my face recover and this explanation really encouraged me to do that and also focus on my son who will arrive in 3 days!
How has your recovery been? Just got diagnosed 2 days ago and starting this treatment
Super curious how this turned out for u? I’m 20
Weeks pregnant, diagnosed with bells 5 days ago and my right side of face is frozen.
I also got BP after a dental procedure, though the neurlogist said its unrelated. Npt sure how to make sense of this tbh
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I am currently suffering from Bell's Palsy (left side of my face). Thankfully there is no damage to my C-7 nerve. The information in this video is a great source of comfort and knowledge for me. Much appreciated.
I've just been diagnosed with Bells palsy and this video was very helpful. Thank you
How are you doing now?
Great video. I have relatives that have suffered from Bell Palsy. Thanks for the information 👍
TY
Blessings✨
Thank you....I suffered from Bells palsy for the past 7 years....I cant explain the emotional toll this has taken on me....I am going to try all the things you have suggested because is my last resort. My daughter is getting married in 6 mos. And I wanna be able to take pics without feeling self-conscious.....
Most importantly, stay calm and love your face the way it is, don't let it enjoy your life to a lesser extent. Your smile is beautiful in any way it is, when it is genuine and happy.
I suffured bell palsy for 10 years....1st one when i was 22...and the 2nd one i was 29....

Thanks for this clear and balanced information. I hope all patients get well and full recovery soon.
Thanks Doc! I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy yesterday and have started taking medications under the medical advice of a neurologist. This video has given great confidence in the steps ahead and recovery process...

Thank you for sharing your expertise. This video is so informative and very appreciated. Looking forward to watching other videos from you. I have B.P. related to Lyme Disease. Received antibiotic &prednisone with good healing with slight eye droop remaining. @@wecantry202 how you doing now?
Thanks for recommending the sensory relaxation, feels more relevant for a damaged nerve diagnostic
The main sentence here is: dont panic, thank you, i hope i will get my smile back.
this just happened thank you doctor

Thank you
I have a bells palsy also😢
2 days after my first Pfizer shot I was in ER with Bell’s palsy.
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you so much.. very informative. I will follow your advice. Have bell palsy 2weeks now.
This is a wonderful video that makes all kinds of good sense.
Hi are you doing ok now .I just got it like 6 days now and and my eyes can’t see we’ll do you have and any advice for me thanks

Doctor I was diagnosed 4 years ago and have nt recovered fully yet
Thanks, i was pelspalsy now i suffer synkinesis how ican recovery my face
Yes, your body is your greatest healer, listen to it and support it with relaxation, healthy nutrition and positive attitude towards your recovery.

Hi, so you suggest not to do any face exercises and let the nerve heals on its own x
I'm on day 5 since waking up with this condition, thanks for great advice. I have seen doctor and taking steroids and antiviral prescription + B6, B12, Magnesium and Gingko. No idea how the trauma to the nerve could have occurred though.
