    Su-Wei deserves much much more applause and bravo. She's been ranked NO.1 Player in Taiwan Women Tennis for a long time. However, Taiwan Tennis Association (aka Chinese Taipei Tennis Association, CTTA) took away all her resource and support and totally ignored her talent and career success just because she asked for fair treatment and transparent resource arrangement and support.
    In 2016 Rio Olympic, CTTA even refused to arrange a coach for her, the Taiwan NO1 player and arranged the resource for another player, and asked Su-Wei to swallow all the unfairness just for "the Country". And that forced her to drop Rio Olympic Tennis play.
    Su-Wei has been battling the court all the long way by herself without any of support from Taiwan government or CTTA. And yet she can still have such great performance. What a gifted player!!!

    Su Wei has such a casual way of hitting the ball. It's as if she doesn't put much effort or energy into most of her strokes, yet it's so effective. I enjoy watching her play, but can imagine how frustrating it must be to play her as an opponent...

    • @pee-buddy
      @pee-buddy 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      So true, Halep vs. Davis kept going on and on because Halep was just playing really poorly for her level, about 35% I'd say, unwilling to play any angle-shots and always giving Davis the opportunity to return. Hsieh vs Kerber was absolutely stunning, almost every shot was a "final-angle-shot" with incredible variations of drop-shots and over-head-lobs. I got my FULL MONEYS WORTH!

      Burabari Kpai...I agree 100%...the 6-2 score in the third set from this match doesn't take away anything from Hsieh...she is still stunning though her score did not reflect it..it's just that Kerber already learned how to counter her technique that's why she was defeated...overall based on the competitive and entertainment value, this match is the most memorable for me so far...this is when all tennis lovers fell in love with Hsieh and started believing in the fighting spirit of Kerber once again...

    Happen to come across this. Su Wei is a pusher at the elite level. Club/Rec players can learn a lot from her but taking the ball early, utilising the slices to defend as well as attack, drop shots to mix things up and playing more angle shots. To beat such pushers, one has to be consistent and patient; there is more effort to play an win against pushers hence one has to do some work out too.

    • @forgotmyname2462
      @forgotmyname2462 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thành Đào-Công actually they are not very heavy because she plays them nearly without spin. The balls are very fast but with little force.

    • @forgotmyname2462
      @forgotmyname2462 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thành Đào-Công and the power comes always from the player, not the racquet

    • @ThanhaoCong
      @ThanhaoCong 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Actually racquet helps a lot generating power. Generally oversize or heavy racquet increases power for the shots (of course if player cannot handle the weight, no extra power can be given).
      I agree that her technique create very flat shots. However, I notice her technique doesn't require much body movements like other female players but borrow the weight of the racquet (like we use the hammer). I wildly guess her racquet isn't heavy but more head-heavy or oversize. So that her swing is short but the shots are powerful. :D

    • @skylaxx
      @skylaxx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would bet on Vcore Duel g97 (probably 310g version than 330g), since her racquet head is clearly smaller than Kerbers

    • @ThanhaoCong
      @ThanhaoCong 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep Vcore series only have 97 or 100sq.in. versions, so I think of your choice or the g100 300gr. At the scene when she walks to the umpire, the racquet head looks small but wasn't so sure. Female players tend to use larger headsize racquets. Kerber's racquet is also 100sq.in.

    I think in R5 is end for Angie, because the others e.g. M. Keys or S. Halep have more winners to play!

    Last year, kerber would have lost this match due to confidence and just grinding using defense. This year having converted to better mindset and offense, she pulled through against a frustrating and crafty player. Kerber will win the AO this year.

    So can someone tell me why Kerber not deserves to be in the top 5?
    Some people say her game is too boring and she's too inconsistent and her mental blabla.
    But look how she's fighting till the end. Hsieh was the better player until the end of the second set but Kerber kept playing and fighting and she took her chance to win the second and the third set.
    She has such a fighting spirit and she can push herself to win against everyone when she's in good mental shape. Her body is like a robot, she never run out of power.
    She really deserves to be in the top 5 again or maybe on no. 1 for a second time !
