      @@AJ-iu6nw It's a long time rivalry between Hsieh and Chan in Taiwan. The Chan family got all the financial support from the government because their connections with powerful people. Instead, Hsieh has to earn money for herself on the court. But that maybe drive her to become a better player.

    Hsieh Su Wei! Talent, hard-working, a fighter, and w/warm-personality.

    The queen!! Can't wait for the tour to resume so she can get back to outsmarting the basic baseliners on the tour. Incredible how her dropshots just seem to 'die' once they land, there is barely any spin and bounce. So difficult to retrieve.

    When you see Hsieh, you see a slender, almost willowy like frame and you understand why she slices / dices her opponent. But out of the blue, she'll just thump a Taiwanese thunder down the line or cross court, .... just to remind you that she can hit

    Just makes me smile. Other girls are pounding the ball to submission, then Hsieh toys with them, makes them run all over the court. I never get tired of watching this intelligent player.

    It's always fun to watch her because you know she's going to use the whole court and not just stay in the baseline like all the other WTA girls. 🤣
    I feel like the player who breaks out of this baseline one-dimensionality kind of playing that WTA is in rn and bring in more variation like Hsieh will accumulate Grand Slams. Unfortunately, Hsieh doesn't have the staying power because it's easier to overwhelm her with power and aces when you really want to.
    Someone who masters both power, variety, and this finesse will definitely become a consistent contender for titles which is what has lacking in WTA. Just imagine Naomi Osaka for example having this variety on top of the usual power. The good thing about variety is you have more styles of play to tap in to just in case "power" has not been working. Tapping into knowledge from other sports can help you be better on your own: incorporate more drop shots and go for open spots like volleyball and badminton.

      Hahahaha so you want everything to a tennis player to be a consistent champion?
      Bro, this is not Virtua Tennis or any kind of pc game.
      You cant have all.
      The only way to be consistent on their game to be multiple GS champion in todays tennis, its to be mentally powerful with gifted physical body.
      Great example was Serena Williams, she was a brute power with mental strengh.

  • @juandelarochasolis1779

    Don’t know if I’m the only one here thinking that I don’t’ like her style... When I used to train, there was always a player like Hsieh: moving like lazy, and suddenly making shots like coming from nowhere. To me it’s a play based on a high percentage of unforced errors, because for every successful magic shot, there are two failed. Plus, Is it me or her footwork is basically none? Most of the points she plays walking...!

      You can dislike her style, but the fact is she is a top 30 WTA player (peak) and has been #1 doubles before. There’s no way she can do that if she misses 2 shots for every 1 made.

      @toottoot3619 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Radwanska is good. Bless her but Hsieh dropshots are insane. She is more entertaining than radwanska. Radwanska & wozniacki plays safe too often waiting for the opponents to make a fault/mistake whereas Hseih goes for her shots (slice/drop shots) when there is an opening. She is a wizard. Aggie and woz are just counter puncher a lesser version of hingis. If i have to rank them: hingis, hsieh, agga / woz.

    Woman here. I have to admit, Women's tennis is not even comparable to men's. To say that we should be paid equal is really unfair to men. There's no way women's tennis can pull crowd on its own. For that matter if you stop men's tennis, barely a fraction will tune in to watch the women's. Almost the entire crowd of women's tennis is residual of men's.
    Gender inequality is real, however there are places where quoting it is plain stupid. This seems like one such place.
    And lastly the reason for this rant. I clicked on the video hoping the title would be worth the time. But if this is what women's magicians are then, what should we call Gael Monfils?

    • @kampchin36
      @kampchin36 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A trickster. The magician from the men’s would be F. Santoro. Anyway, she is definitely what the WTA needs to get people to watch women’s tennis. She has the entertainment value to the game rather than the game that the physically strongest player wins which have been too predictable and made the game a lot more boring.

    • @bigbulk688
      @bigbulk688 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kampchin36 This would have been an acceptable statement if women could be somehow persuaded that baseline. The entire match is ooh-aah from the two baselines. This girl is the only exception.

    • @candiceejones
      @candiceejones 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm sorry but why can't we like her and Gael Monfils and Dustin Brown at the same time? This was a pointless rant. I'm sure your men vs women's tennis opinions would be well received on 4Chan. Also, there are people who watch mostly only women's tennis, and there are some women's players who get more attention and views than male players.
