    Like a few others, a little shocked that citrus fruit is on this list. Not sure I can agree, though I mainly eat berries, apples, pears and bananas. I do squeeze lemon on a regular basis in my soups/stews (I guess I'm too lazy to peel an orange).
    One tip to try to combat GERD is to intermittent fast. Satchin Panda who really got the ball rolling in this movement swears that it took away his GERD in a podcast (don't recall which one but it is on TH-cam). Anyway, he probably coupled this with some restrictive eating.

      I think the issue is serving size. If you eat 5 fresh apricots or 5 dried apricots, the amount of sugar will be the same, and the dried ones still have the fiber, minerals and most vitamins. The problem is that people may overeat, such as eating a cup of dried apricots... Just use common sense, don't eat more dried fruits than equivalent fresh ones.

      There is a lot of confusion there indeed. But just think about it, how could dried fruits have more, or different type of sugar?? It's the same fruit, drying it cannot change the sugar content. Again, the confusion comes from serving size. If you compare 100g of fresh figs with 100g of dried figs, then of course, the dried ones have more sugar since there is no water in that 100g. But compare 5 fresh figs with 5 dried figs, then it's the same amount of sugar. The 5 dried figs have less weight and taste sweeter due to the lack of water, but their nutritional value is essentially the same as the fresh ones.@@KuriakhX

      I come from a country where they produce dried fruit. Drying is a way of preserving fruit evidently, but one should soak dried fruit overnight before consuming them. They are not meant to be eaten dry in large quantities!

      We are all different. Contrary to common belief, reflux and heartburn can be a result of weak stomach acid, in which case lemon water and ACV would be beneficial.

    I eat anything fruit. Do prefer fresh fruits and fresh fruits in season. During Winter I do eat canned fruit in fruit juice, I don't like syrup. Good oranges are hard to find. I use lemons/lime in water. Thank you

      What they have said for years is that whole fruits if almost any.kind balanced--like several kinds cut up in a pile of cottage cheese, is great (especially if you throw in a few crumbled walnuts).
      It's the concentration, again. amounts (and why dried fruits then, soar in density).
      I used to crave o.j. even though I was allergic. Doc told me a tall glass is = to about 10 oranges with none if the pith or fiber, even pulp. Whole oranges balance all that. He was right I can eat 1-1.5 whole big oranges per day if I have them, no problem, no reactions.

    Firstly The English is grammatically incorrect as the headings should be worst processed fruits.
    Most of the proof here is misleading
    99.9% of fruits are beneficial of course if we Overprocess fruits or modify them genetically then 99.9% of France could and probably would be damaging to your health.
    To put oranges lemons limes on a number one worst fruit is incredible some people are going to read this and then stop eating the very fruits that can actually be the best for them
