The issue is once we tell our dr that we have any of these symptoms, it is ignored or passively dismissed. We have to go through many attempts to prove that what we are experiencing in our body is real. Listen to the cancer survivors on the Patient Story. You will see that the common denominator is not that the symptoms were ignored by the survivor but dismissed by the healthcare professional.
You’re absolutely right, many people feel their concerns are dismissed, and it’s incredibly frustrating. Advocacy is so important, and hearing from survivors can really highlight the need for doctors to listen more closely. Thank you for bringing attention to this issue!

I suffer with gastritis gastroparesis pain when I eat, burping, gas, bloating, constipation. I’m afraid to eat all the time. I bought some tangerines but am afraid to eat any thoughts?

Thank goodness I stopped drinking about 2 years ago or so. I had early cirrhosis. Stopped drinking, eat healthy, sleepy , walk, don’t take meds,
