I have a Crux Prime which used to be the strongest ball in my bag. I just got this Proton Physix and it's at least 5 boards stronger in terms of overall hook. If you can't hook this ball, you need to just give up conventional bowling and go either 2-hand or no-thumb.

im still rocking it in 2023 as my main go to on league just first ball out, got my highest score in league with it a nice 280. so i mean i looked at the gem and DNA but idk i just still really like the proton.
Our Governor is better in California. Put everything back into outdoor and on top of that add a curfew as well, but again he got caught going to a gathering even tho he said not to again rules don’t apply to him.
The back ends absolutely fly at that house compared to the other center you usually record at. I'd be interested to see some of the other pieces you recently reviewed there too.
Your best options are: 1. Reduce your ball speed 2. Increase your RPMS 3. Adjust your axis of rotation so the ball looks more like it’s doing a burnout straight towards the left gutter (assuming right-handed), and less like it’s spinning towards the pins Try working on these things one at a time, rather than all at once. Consistency with your shots and being able to predict where the ball will go is the key to success
I bowl there sometimes, and tend to do rather well, but yeah it’s…different. Many of the lanes have a slight ridge at the foul line from the approach area being slightly sunken in. The lanes have joystick controllers, it has an old-school vibe. The place has a very fun and cool overall layout

@@tsandofficial7454 i use the phase 3 as well, and it performs great. I recommend the proton physics as well because it is used for heavy oil say at a gsr alley and is classified as higher performance

Machines just don’t clean the lanes very well. There will be memory of the pattern out before the new one. It’s why some tournaments double and triple strip before running patterns to try to get them as close as possible. Also why patterns at events get tighter each squad the patterns applied
Isn't a solid supposed to start hooking early? You put a 5 inch pin on everything and make every ball look the same . Try drilling the balls and make them do what they were meant to do. Get a solid and drill it to go deep like a pearl? Thats a special kind of crazy there
Hmm darren tang also drilled his proton similarly 5x5x5.5 on the middle finger. A couple people I know drilled their solid ball into the pin in the ring finger, including storms drilling for brad millers proton physix. So you’re saying keep the ball strong and drill it what its meant to do? To read early?

Here in Canada and mostly in Ontario we have had a shut down in March and have slowly reopen with restrictions, now with some peoples bad choices, we are heading back to a shut down again. Most importantly we have lost a few bowling alleys already and some owners I know are talking about up to 40% of all alleys may close for good. So enjoy to short shut down and please keep helping a great sport we all love, keep living.

That's because the back half of the lanes are wood and the front half are synthetic.
Yup that's kinda my point. Makes this ball look alot more snappy off the back compared to the last 4-5 solids that were reviewed.

Used my protron for the first time and it didn't hook very much what should I do
Your best options are:

Yeah the fronts are synthetic and it transitions to wood backend. Ball reaction is different in that house.

90% of storm users don’t throw balls outside of storm/roto. Plus all those balls are completely different

I'm wanting a new ball I was looking at the roto grip ufo or the roto grip halo pearl or the proton physix which 1 would you recommend.
The UFO is a great Solid for heavy oil conditions I personally love the ball. My go to is the Phase 3 though

Looks the same as the last review. JK, I think the roto grip ball on the last throw made it back because you put more revs on it upon release.
