    Great video showing with drawings the very basics of what a trac bar does. Loving jeeps but not being a shop junkie yet, this increased my knowledge.

    Buying a lift kit for my f250 and the kit had a track bar option. Had no idea what that was so I did a google search and this video came up. Thanks, this was exactly what I needed and since it's an 8" lift I now know I should get it.

    Matt, Most other countries (Uk, Australia, etc) refer to the track bar as the "panhard bar". Might want to add that into your tags/title/description to capture the audiences around the world.

    Nice video. for about 3in lifts if your on a budget you can re-drill the lower mounting hole over about 3/4in to compensate for the lift. I was doing this until I just upgraded to a ironman double sheer trackbar, big diffrence

    I’m having this issue now with my Ford F250 that I just bought it comes with the snow plow package and I’m realizing is it bringing my axle over by 1 inch I just got done ordering an adjustable track bar. Come to find a Ford parts for same track bar on the 250s 350s and 450s and the same part number which means it’s the same size I don’t know why they would do this maybe It’s easier for them when it comes to the assembly line

I even installed a new track bar with same results. Do you guys think that i still need to install this adjustable track a bar? (By the way nothing its bend in the suspension)

    with a 3.5" lifted grand cherokee, will the axle being off center cause death wobble when hitting a big bump at highway speed? i bought an adjustable one but it is a tad too long. by a tad i mean the axle is now an inch or so further to the passenger than center.

    • @ryanellis5902
      @ryanellis5902 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stock XJ tires are 225/75/15.. so, just going up in tire size will not require a longer/adjustable track bar.. only needed if lifting the suspension. I just got done with a 3 inch lift on my XJ and the entire axle shifted a good 2-3 inches to the driver side. This is due to the track bar still being the factory length. The longer/adjustable track bar is needed to re-center the axle under the jeep.

      @@ryanellis5902 Sir, I have my 89 xj 4x4 all stock, I replaced almost everything on the front end except for the 2 hubs, running 205 75 15 now because I bought em very cheap, it's pulling to the right even though I took it for front alignment twice, and every time I turn far left my left wheel seems to hop and jump slightly, can't find any 4 wheel dive specialist here in Los Angeles, there is one fellow who charged me 125 just to look at it and gave me an estimate of 3k to replace some parts. Your technical advise is appreciated.
