I have been looking for a video like this for a long time because I have a reservation for this very same seat in row 16. It will be a pretty long flight from FRA to LAX so I wanted to make sure the legroom is sufficient. Thank you mate for the great content!! :)

Great video. I have a choice between 16 or 27. Having a tough time deciding, not as much legroom at the bulkhead but more private cabin. If you had to choose again which would it be?
I like how an aircraft looks on the inside and on the outside so it's good to see that you've had good coverage on both aspects. Wonderful shots of the 747's beautiful white fuselage at the start of your video. I particularly enjoyed the focus on the windows and engines - very artistic! You have a good eye for detail. :-) Your seating area looked more like premium economy! Must have been so good to have all that space and the vacant seat in the middle. Doesn't it suck big time to have to look into the business class cabin while you're flying economy?
It was one of the most fun shootings I made so far. The B747-8 is a fantastic and really professional model. ;-) I got lucky that Lufthansa gave me this seat for free. Sometimes you have to pay for it because of the great amount of space you have. You're right - it sucks a lot to look right into all the happy Business Class faces. But I take it as a motivation to work harder to be able to fly Biz Class every time :)
I will get the chance to fly Lufthansa long-haul very soon on their A380! Really looking forward to it because I've heard good things about this company. What's their regular economy seat like? Do they also have a foot rest?
@@rollie206 Wow that's good news. My tip for you: try to get a seat on their upper deck in the small Economy section. A couple years ago I had the chance to sit in the exit row with enormous legroom + the storage compartment on the side makes it even better. (The seat has no leg rest)
Good tip!! I just checked the seats available on this flight and it looks like most of the upper deck seats are blocked except for a few in the centre. Hopefully they will open when online check-in becomes available? I will definitely try to look out for a seat by the exit. Ah, no leg rest means I will have to bring my own flight hammock. Great seat! You were almost in business class :) I had that seat once on a 747 with LH. I'm just adding my flight to Punta Cana, but the beginning is in Polish. Flew with my "favorite" airline - AC Rouge on A321. Tried to pay at the airport and to upgrade, but my company booked a seat in the lowest price and it wasn't upgradable. The idiots rater let the seats to be empty, than make a few bucks. It would have been about CAD 300.00 - each way. It was a gift trip from my company for the top agents. I go every year - for the last 22 years. The hotel that they have booked was so-so, but I managed to book on my own (and don't pay). A beautiful Majestic Mirage - videos coming up very soon . Looks like you go to Germany a lot. Is it for business? Best regards :)
Thanks for watching Anita. Sadly it was only the view into Business Class that I had. In my opinion it is a waste of money by the airlines that they introduced un-upgradable fares. Makes no sense to me at all. Overall it is still a nice gesture by your company that they book you a trip because of your great work over the years. I'm in Germany for some weeks. No Business trip more like meeting up with all my friends that I haven't seen in the US. I'm also looking for some cheap flights and new airlines that I can review. I booked a 10$ flight to Spain yesterday operated by Ryanair (super low budget airline). Gonna be a fun experience :D

I'm 6'1 too. I fit perfectly in the seat. The only problem is obviously the wall in-front of you that limits your legroom. But it is still more comfortable than a regular Economy seat.
Probably the best eco seat in that plane. But with a regular seat you can already make an appointment at your cardiologist and vascular surgeon, there is simply no room for your legs. I tested it at ITB and it must be pure torture to sit there for 10 hours.

Yay! Another great video and successful flight! You did have the best seat for legroom in economy but it still looked cramped because you are so tall. 😝 Did you have pasta? It looked just meh....
Glad to see you here so early! I mean of course I would prefer to sit in Business Class to have enough legroom but this seat was alright for Economy Class. In addition to that Lufthansa also left the seat next to me free so that I had more than enough space for all my stuff. The pasta looked super dry but it had a lot of tasty sauce below it - luckily :D Thanks for commenting!
ALWAYS nice to have an empty seat next to you! No elbow war. The touch screen and your thumbs down made me laugh! When the touch screen insists you speak and read Spanish. 😂
After having this I don't want an elbow war again in my life. Makes the flight so much more enjoyable in Economy Class :) The touchscreen was so bad. I was also laughing about it because I saw everyone else struggling too. :D
This is such a good video...I like the quality, it so clear and smooth and a choice of music is excellent. It's a suction cup to stabilize the GoPro during take offs and landings :) You can find it on Amazon or GoPros website!
