Nice video but I think 5/5 for comfort is too generous from the clips. I think it makes a difference for sure when you are travelling with 2 others and you can book 3 seats together with people that you know. So you are not too bothered about other people hogging the armrest or the person in front of you reclining, or climbing over strangers to get to the bathroom.
Its cool to see you got the new 787 on this route. Its been serviced by that A330 for a long time and once or twice with the A340....This is my city so I hang out there spotting alot....
To be honest for me I would choose to fly the A330 over the 787, every time I have flown the 787 I have been really underwhelmed. I was supposed to fly in a 330-Neo a few weeks ago and was gutted when they changed it at the last minute to a 321-Neo, but I will be really interested to see how that stacks up to the 787 when I finally get a chance to fly in one.

Flew them long haul once and told myself never again. The crew were polite, flight was punctual but food was poor. They even charge for the ‘better’ drinks. It’s not bad, just that you get so much more with many other airlines
I have to make a reservation and I don't know if should I choose Premium Economy or just plain Economy ( 18 hour flight). Great video, I expected much worse considering it's Economy

Hi. I would encourage you to drop that idea. I did 48 intercontinental sectors with them in the last 14 months, and I just wish you knew and experienced what I have.
Let's talk about food. My experience with various airlines is that flights from the USA to Europe have unconvincing food in all booking classes - even in Lufthansa First Class - which may be due to the catering in the USA.
Booked my flight to America using this airline since I heard it has more comfortable seats than United & virgin airlines , I’ll put that to the test for myself
Informative video. We flew Lufthansa 2 years ago business on business but we were going back this September and thinking going economy to save money so we can spend more there….we actually tried to book our flights a few weeks ago premium economy flex but the website has been awful when we got to the payment section. Nothing goes through CC went through but nothing on the site. I wish I could speak to someone that speaks good English so we can explain what’s happening but wasn’t sure if anyone else is experiencing this? I fly Lufthansa all the time going to Greece. It’s funny bc last night I watched a frequent long haul flyer and she said her carry in has only been weighed once in her entire life of 100s of flights….. and it was Lufthansa lol. So just be prepared in case!
Unfortunately, this flight was just barely shorter than the minimum length for which Lufthansa serves a second full hot meal, which is 10 hours. Other airlines are better in this regard, such as British Airways whose threshold is 8.5 hours.
My experience was different. I flew from Tokyo to Munich which was a 13~14 hour flight. I did not get a second hot meal and was only served a sandwich. It was the same flying back to Tokyo.
Flying from London to Montreal pretty soon on the exact same plane model as you so your video was super helpful! Just one question.. can you bring any metal objects in your carry on?

Lufthansa is a fantastic airline in economy long haul, pre dinner drinks and snacks and real cutlery. You also know what to expect. I abandoned Lufthansa 1 flight before I qualified for their gold level Senator frequent flyer card. 48 intercontinental sectors in 14 months, and for the last 8 sectors , they lost my baggage 3 times in a row , back to back. I took them to the National Enforcement Authority of Germany to claim 600 Euros for a cancelled flight, and they play really dirty with anybody who tries to claim. Ten months later, still waiting for my compensation payout for a suitcase that is totally lost. Lufthansa's food portions are enough for a toddler. In addition, Frankfurt airport is a clown airport of rude staff presiding over a shitshow of chaotic massive queues. Expect at up to an hour to get through passport control, and expect 15 minutes before the ground services arrive with stars to allow passengers to disembark. I now fly either Qatar, Cathay, Emirates or, if I'm on a budget - Turkish.

Lufthansa ruined my wedding proposal and has proceeded to care 0%. They overbook their flights to the point that dozens of people are kicked off. Doesn’t matter that you have business class seats and there is nothing you can do about boarding your confirmed flight. They don’t make it easy for you to get refunded either. They really are the worst airline I have ever dealt with and I have been flying between Europe and the US for almost 25 years at least twice per year.
AVOID Lufthansas 747 flights in economy however. Pure torture due to an inflight entertainment system that barely doesn’t work (not just my seat, everyone I saw and talked to had the same issue). And seats that are hard as a rock with quite poor legroom. 10+ hours in that will make you go insane 😅
Fully translated it's "Air Union" or "Air Confederation" it doesn't have a direct translation as "Hansa" is a very old German word not really used anymore.
Lufthansa is a terrible airlines!!!! In the last 2 years they worsen so much! I have to fly with them a lot since it is the only direct flight from Barcelona to Frankfurt-am-Mein airport... In 2023 Lufthansa canceled my flight and did not send me any notification, they proceeded the refund only after I asked for it. Also It was the once in lifetime experience to fly with a cabin size luggage under my seat, so my legs were on the bag during 2h flight. That was a brilliant idea of Lufthansa's stuff because there was no space for my luggage (not only mine). At the same time smaller backpacks were in the upper storage... In 2024 Spring they just made a refund without sending any notice and I don't have any booking anymore. I was lucky to discover this by myself. They charged my card and they kept my money for a week, and now they say I must buy the tickets with a new price. Last 3 times I used a train to get from Barcelona to Frankfurt only not to deal with Lufthansa, and I was so write!!!
Lufthansa sucked! Horrible customer service in Barcelona. They only allow one free checked bag, and one carry on. Our plan was very old. Turkish airlines provided a much better experience for us.
The worst airlines ever . Super bad and they do not have even phone number in the USA to call and complain or discuss anything. They are the worst and food is very bad and the seats are not comfortable

Don t fly with Lufthansa. Greetings from Germany. Sometimes and only sometimes they are ok.
Next time watch #Bahubali
So you all changed clothes after you arrived at the airport? 🤣
Yes they had showers 😃
Lufthansa means Hansa Airlines, Luft in German means air. 😆
Fully translated it's "Air Union" or "Air Confederation" it doesn't have a direct translation as "Hansa" is a very old German word not really used anymore.
JJ spell, Mikey
9 hours is not long haul. Try coming to Australia.
🎉Looks a bit rubbish overall to me. Is this because you are comparing to US airlines economy?
It was a better experience than all the US airlines I’ve been on personally

Please. It’s Lufthansa…Loof-tanza’.
The legroom is awful. Economy meals are not good. However in Business they are good.
To add; they charge for in flight wifi
And you stress the first Syllable. „LUFT-Hansa“ (not „LuftHANsa“!)

The worst airlines ever . Super bad and they do not have even phone number in the USA to call and complain or discuss anything. They are the worst and food is very bad and the seats are not comfortable
Economy is economy no matter what airline. I’ve flown hundreds of overseas to Asia, Europe, & the Middle East. As you age (I’m 62) you’ll find you cannot tolerate cattle car class. I only flight business.
no your not right can you compare shit Lufthansa with Singapore airlines, Qatar airways, EVA airlines, Japan airlines, ANA, Cathay pacific I flew Lufthansa business class and it was shit I cant imagine how shit is their economy Lufthansa it used to be good airline in 80s and 90s but not anymore they are always behind of others even in Europe AIRFRANCE, TURKISH, IBERIA, BRITISH AIRWAYS are much better than this shit still they don't have 1-2-1 in business class their crew are so/so my last flight with LH was 2016 and till now I am not flying till they change their cabins and improve on their on board service!
I only fly biz class now but economy does vary by airline. Thai airways is quite good
Singapore Airlines And Thai Airways are excellent in Economy. ❤
