I have to do the same thing. They even said to me before to check out TH-cam for sources. I couldn't believe it! But yes, he is great and I don't know where I'd be right now with out him!
I tried crash course. I tried everything else. And you just answered it all in six minutes. You are amazing.
Yeah cash course has a lot of annoying, useless information in that made it hard to watch and didn't even tell me what I needed to know. It has high school concepts in it but is presented in a way that is more for younger kids
Ok but for one, I don’t find it entertaining, I find it silly. And two, when I’m cramming for an exam I don’t need a bunch of extra crap in the videos I watch because then it takes longer and I have to keep skipping through

I'm a senior biology undergrad and I've learned all of this several times over, but your video really helped me kind of glue them all together if that makes sense. I actually have a better visual understanding of how DNA functions, as opposed to just words on an exam.

Thank you! Best and simplest explanation I've found so far. I come here first to understand the topic and then go read the textbook because the book just explains it in the most confusing ways, this is the only way I'll have a good grasp on this complex material.

Good stuff professor--it isn't as detailed as I need to know (TF II, etc) but it cleared up the idea. When you get slammed with details, it can be overwhelming and easy to forget to look at the big picture first and then the details...Your video is great and I am now a sub...You are my tutor for Biochemie II :D

I have to say Dave you’ve explained things with such clarity and simplicity ... not even one of my many medical textbooks were capable of conveying this topic the way you have ... the only point I’d like some clarification on is why so much fuss by the biologists over proteins? What about fats and carbohydrates ? Aren’t they just as important to living beings ? Or is it that all manufactured proteins can somehow turn themselves into carbs and fats through some chemical process?
