Arkadiusz yes , unfortunately he is , I found this channel January 2018 when I first got into FPV & it sucks cause he was so knowledgeable about this hobby , I’ve learned the majority of what I know from him and I am still finding myself searching through his channel to find the info I need , everyone I watch one of his videos I’m sad cause I will never get to have a conversation with him on TH-cam about this hobby . Thanks for the video! MWOSD 1.7 changes to the Chrome app configurator. Your video got me to the point of loading the Micro card and get the blinking green LED. MWOSD Chrome app has the COM and Data rate setting in the upper right in drop-down fields and I'm connected!

you can also use an arduino board to program the minimOSD, if you already own an arduino board. There is a FTDI USB-TTL chip on the board to communicate with the ATmega chip. Just remove the chip, connect the wires to the right pins and program.

Have you tried the new chrome mw osd configurator yet ? I find its a lot simpler to set up. Whats your thoughts on the chrome blheli suite ? You should do some videos on them. Happy new year JC
I had to buy the latest version. Under OSD GUI only instructions and a CRX file are listed. They no longer seem to include the program. WOMP!

hi, I am self-taught and a few days ago I programmed a MWOSD to be used on a nano F4 REVO that is without OSD. When I try the MWOSD on the FC disconnected from the 4 esc (n.4 ESC Tarot BLHeli from 6A - model tarot T130 modified by me) everything works. Then when I also connect the ESCs, I only see the video signal but not the telemetry. To see the telemetry I have to disconnect the GND of the camera, but obviously I do not have the video signal ... Since you are very skilled with drones of this type, do you have any advice for me? I thank you in advance !!!

I'm trying to flash the micro minim osd, I'm using an FTDI since I had it, and I'm getting as far as clearing the memory with the solid green light. When I do the config the sketch says I'm using 82% of memory stability problems may occur and when I upload it says programer is not responding, not in sync
Could you tell me what I'm doing wrong or what to try.

i couldnt figure out for the longest time why it wouldnt fash. then i did... make sure you have the RX going to TX and TX going to RX.
heyy when iam connecting mwosd and verifying than i get error: low memory what to do?
My mwosd GUI looks different than the one you show on your videos. Mine has a white background and a different layout than yours. Also I flashed 1.7 and it did not have the 1.7 GUI when downloaded so I had to download 1.6 and flash that to my microminumosd and now it works. Sorry if I'm rambling but I followed your tutorial exactly and got diffeeent results. Just wondering why your GUI looks different and also to use 1.7 it makes me go to chrome app and purchase it. Any help would be amazing. Thank you

DTR pin in programmer - must be connected with OSD ?
Had to use the goggle chrome app my pc would not let me choose the windows 64 or 32 version also can't get the serial pass through to work but osd works need to tweak it a bit but don't want to unsoder everything any tips?

Great video and playlist, very helpful and appreciated! One thing I wanted to bring up is that I recently received the CP2102 board from the link, and it's not exactly as pictured and is a bit different than the one you use (which does match their pictured product, maybe I got the wrong part)? But it is similar looking, but the six pins are DTR, RXD, TXD, +5V, GND, and 3v3. There is a CTS spot marked on the side of the board that can be soldered to. Is the CTS actually used, considering it just goes to a ground on the OSD?

hey bud, i recently got a Revolt v2, and this OSD, i don't see much info for useing this OSD with raceflight, so my question is am i going to have a hell of a time getting it setup on raceflight/revolt? if you dont know, its cool. figured id ask b4 wasting the next day on figuring this all out haha. thanks man

thanks for the great videos. This is regarding micro minim OSD. I and most of guys having an font issue. Fonts wont up load correctly, means you get like japanese character.This issue has been on RC forums yet haven't got an correct solution.

Hi, can you use this as a standalone, just to add crosshair in the middle of screen?
Arduino keeps telling me that I don't have enough room on my micro mini osd to upload the 1.7 sketch. What do I do? I have read stuff about editing the sketch but I don't understand the code well enough.
When I try to flash the firmware with arduino it says "Error compiling for board Arduino Pro or Pro Mini" and yes I have Arduino 1.6.12 please help

after flashing the micro minim osd and i am about to go to mw_osd gui the file only contains mw_osd gui r.16 as a CRX files and a link to google instruction ??? i'm stuck and i don't know what to do from there. i cannot access it.

Hi JC thanks for the video! I followed your tutorial before and it worked perfectly, now I am trying to go back into the GUI and decided to try and reset the osd, but when I try to upload in arduino (all seetings in tool are correct) the green bar on upload stays at full but it doesn't say done uploading. If I try again I get an error message. The green light on the board is currently blinking very fast. Do you know hoe to fix my problem? Thanks in advance
Never mind JC just fixed it. My mistake, I accidentally bridged 2 pins on the minim osd micro. Just fixed and it works!

Hi jc in the past I tried to put a micromosd to my quad but I think I buy a arduino that doesn't work to flash the micro maybe if you have an arduino nano v3 in"how to" wire and flash the micro it will be awesome to look so I can't use my micro jeje happy new year and keep doing what you do awesome vids

I have a rev 3 Arduino Uno and got it to work. I used the reset pin on the ICSP header to go to the DTR pin on the MinimOSD. I also set the Arduino IDE to use Arduino Pro instead of Arduino Uno in the software.
after selecting mwosd in arduino, I can't find witespymicro. My options are: minimosd, microminimosd, aeromax, rtfqv1, rtfqmicro, rushduino, kylin250pdb, airbotmicro, andromeda. What do I use?

How do you know you're getting the right type of board? There are tons of versions marked as cp2102, in fact banggood lists a bunch....?
Just grab any 6 pin version
I'm sorry, I don't mean to disagree, but boards are physically completely different, and list different functions, so I doubt they are all exactly the same. Here are some. They range from around $3 to over $15, so can't be the same...?

#R W You are right, they are not 100% the same, but also they are made from different manufacturers and have some variations, like different interface plugs and features to best suit your need, as I understand to be sure, you just have to confirm if all the (6) important pins are there, at 3:38 in the video, but to be honest I must say I´m very far from being an expert in these serial converters and arduino programing stuff! otherwise I probably wouldn't be here :D
One of the best tutorials ive ever seen but damn, you buy this OSD and realise you need to go out and buy a bigger board to make it work and learn software and do lots of soldering and desoldering.

this doesnt work as he says. at 7 min mark, where it says upload complete, mine doesnt. it says upload failed. the green light goes solid green though. also in the next step, there isnt anything but mwosd tab. no config h

Hi JC, great work.. I have Win10 64bit but neither of the MWOSD files worked. I accidentally found out there is a Chrome app called MWOSD Configurator. This works for me and I thought i'd share to help others possibly.

Does it matter if I get Pal or NTFS camera. I'm in the US. Does it matter? Or Is there a advantage having one over the other.
In the US we typically use NTSC, but you can use either. It wont make a difference. Theres really no advantage of using one over the other.

Right click on the 64 bit version that won't run and try "run as admin"
I don't know why but i cant get it to work..i went to arduino program and cleared the epprom but never had a solid green light..it just keep flashing fast even after that..then i wanted to flash it with MWOSD as you did..and then under the "Upload done" was saying "low on memory,problems may occur"..whats that mean? I cant connect to mwosd gui..what am i doing wrong..any ideas?? Thanks
I'd say first make sure in tools you have "Arduino Pro or Pro Mini" selected, for processor "ATmega328 (5v,16mhz)", and make sure you have the correct COM port selected. Other than that all I can think of is make sure you have the wiring correct for whichever serial converter you are using. Sometimes the pinout is different.

see?, thats why people come here, you instantly spot the mistake with the vaguest of clues. imma try to get osd with, don't laugh, the micro minimosd, and ftdi232, and a cc3d running betaflight.......oh and i'm doing this because i bought the runcam mini, thinking it had the osd of the swift 2....lol.. when will i give myself an even break.
Probably the 64-Bit GUI doesn't work because you have 32-Bit Java Runtime Environment installed... Just google the 64-Bit version, install it and try again. Altough it will be exactly the same :)
IF YOUR usb BOARD HAS 3v3... just leave it disconnected. The board will get extremely hot if you dont.

hey JC. have tou ever heard of the extremely fucked up filure to sync error in the arduino software? its all i have ever got as far as flashing mwosd firmware.
any ideas as to how to get around it? ive got ftdi drivers and have tried multiple ftdi boards and minim boards.. no luck. its driven me insane for close on 2 years.

MWOSD x64 don't work because you don't have JAVA in x64 version but in x386 version ;).
