Kudos to him. For having the luck to be able to buy them and for being such a down to earth cool guy.

I actually am best friend with the guy who tested 2003 Desmosedici and he felt that bars were very hot so he told them to do something with the front fairings so they came up with this idea. He also drove me at the back of the bike and I asked him to give it a little gas from behind so when he gave me I've burnt my hand really bad and he laughed, I had scar for like 2 weeks from that 3rd degree burn.

The rgv is the GOAT as far as I'm concerned. It's cool that these bikes weren't crushed by the factories at the end of the season. Firing up the 500 should have been a TOP PRIORITY. Nice video though 👍
Stoner's GP8 now quite antiquated when you see Dovizioso's Current GP17 Ducati which still has the Fastest Top Speed ever recorded on a MotoGP Bike @ 224mph last year. i.m sure Ducati wishes they had a Casey Stoner back on their Factory Team; I loved watching him ride the Ducati. Quite a Historical Collection of GP Bikes to have. I'm pretty sure Patrick has some Deep Pockets to afford those Toys ...

I love the engineering of old race bike. Its also neat to see all the poor designs tried over the season. People think race bikes are perfect and this shows how much crappy stuff the riders and mechanics deal with until they beat up the engineers to make it easier to work with. ;-P

@@mattiasandersson3444 depends on the era mate, the 30's through to 50's and 60's bikes had that as a trait, later bikes changed, there were some export bikes with a different layout that were specced by large orders for police bikes and similar. What you rode isn't the be all end all if it had a conventional layout. Go do some research and have a look. Remember a triumph triple isn't a good label since there has been several iterations, the bloor bikes are very different from the 50's bikes which are again very different from the current stuff. So without an era identifier and a model number your dismissive comment wasn't any use. As for your 'all bikes' comment lol no, go look at AJS, Matchless, pre and post war Nortons, the BSA's at the prime of the factory. A lot of ariels, hell remember harley and Indian had a none standard layout on their bikes throttle and clutch for some of their bikes prior to the 70's based on shooting from the bike as a police officer. The modern standardised layout for clutch, brake, throttle, gear shift on the left is comparably recent maybe by the 90s at the earliest and even then look at this video where they shift with an entirely different pattern of one up 5 down for racing.

Its posible you know all abot your market but aviously dont know all about those old 30:ies and 40 :IEs bikes here in sweden , they still had it at left. Further you dont have to told that people that race their bikes swap the gear lever with a linkage to reverse the shifting cause they wanna gear up easy in the end of the cornr when they have the foot above the gearlever.

Hi folks , First off can I say a huge thank you to Patrick . Letting you into his personal garage.... wow what a garage for anyone who loves Motorcycles. Then not just to look at, or chat about , with someone who really knows his stuff ... but actually rides them and lets you start them up. I had a 916 , 96 model quite a while ago. It's a long story and complicated but I have Advanced Prostate Cancer and things are not looking brilliant . Ill at home at the moment and this video really cheered me up. Wow .... I only wish , Patrick was my dearest , closest brother .... or best mate .... I'm sure I'm not the only one wishing that. Great that he rides them , especially the MotoGP bikes ..... It's crazy that the GP bikes are hard to wheelie with the long swingarms, then when you see a winner come down the straight doing a huge stable wheelie and you realize they have complete control

Hi folks , First off can I say a huge thank you to Patrick . Letting you into his personal garage.... wow what a garage for anyone who loves Motorcycles. Then not just to look at, or chat about , with someone who really knows his stuff ... but actually rides them and lets you start them up. I had a 916 , 96 model quite a while ago. It's a long story and complicated but I have Advanced Prostate Cancer and things are not looking brilliant . Ill at home at the moment and this video really cheered me up. Wow .... I only wish , Patrick was my dearest , closest brother .... or best mate .... I'm sure I'm not the only one wishing that. Great that he rides them , especially the MotoGP bikes ..... Fantastic video not just for Ducati fans but Motorcycle fans in general . Excellent stuff and just keep doing more ...... thanks a few million , so to speak ..... best wishes to all involved .....

It's crazy that the GP bikes are hard to wheelie with the long swingarms, then when you see a winner come down the straight doing a huge stable wheelie and you realize they have complete control

Brilliant video, brilliant brilliant brilliant. Currently reminiscing of being at Donnington Park in 2003 hearing that Ducati idling in its pit garage and thinking how insane it sounded, as bike noise memories go, that's the one that stands out for me. Thank you for sharing it lads.

they sold it but cant ride it on street..n got some regulations also....
