    Not replacing Receiver/dryer and all O-Rings and schraders is not too good of an idea, but not vacuuming down will kill that new compressor when it ices up. Need to get the moisture out. That it is not working your pressures are probably real high and you have a blockage in the condenser or evaporator. Try flushing everything with solvent then blow out with air. Hope you and Dalton had a great time!

    A little tip for "safely" moving around stuff on a pallet since you clearly have ratchet straps. Wrap one end of the strap around the horizontal boards on the pallet and drag the pallet with it. That way you're not bending over and straining so much.

    Hello From Mark In Kentucky. Just wanted to let you know that I subscribed to your TH-cam channel and really enjoyed seeing the work regarding the Ranchero. When I was a kid, My dad brought a new gold colored 1974 Ranchero with a brown vinyl roof.
    The Ranchero had a 351 Cleveland engine that would absolutely pass anything but a gas pump.
    Back in those days of fuel embargoes and short supplies of gasoline,,A severe gas hog was not a good thing.
    At that time my dad was farming and the Ranchero was not the vehicle of choice for farming like a pickup truck would be., At least if you were burning gas, You wanted something more useful to your purposes - So To Speak.
    The most ironic thing was that a friend of my dad who ran a Texaco station where my dad frequented bought the Ranchero and the co-owner of the Texaco station loved the Ranchero so much that he went straight to our local Ford dealership and bought himself a matching Ranchero which was virtually identical other than the age of the two Rancheros. I can remember that the Ranchero had an AC that would absolutely freeze you to death.
    Speaking of the GM front wheel drive vehicles, A few years back, I had a 1988 Chevy Celebrity wagon with the 2.8 engine that GM in their infinite wisdom located the coil packs underneath the exhaust manifold. That was not the easiest of jobs to change the coils out and it was even worse to change out the alternator. The 2.8 also leaked engine oil pretty badly.,That engine was a pure pain to do anything to - But ran great until it got T-boned in which I junked it out. Believe it or not, That station wagon would go just about anywhere my 4wd Ford truck would go and was awesome on a icy road.

    • @BuffsGarage
      @BuffsGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh to have a celebrity wagon… I might swap the engine for something spicier, or just drive it u til the wheels fall off..
      But thanks for watching and subscribing.. Dalton is an awesome guy and I’m thankful he’s my friend!

    • @TheIronDuke502
      @TheIronDuke502 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BuffsGarage After the Idiot T-Boned the wagon it never ran the same again. I have not seen any of those wagons in a very long time. That wagon was not bad on gasoline and rode pretty well for a front wheel drive vehicle. I always made sure that the AC was full of refrigerant. I wish that I had it back.

      @BuffsGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheIronDuke502 Yep I know that feeling.. I had a ford escort wagon given to me while I lived in Alaska.. That thing would go anywhere including through 4 foot snowdrifts that was cover the car, while the subarus and pavement princesses would be stuck.. I gave that away to a young family who had their first baby and needed a better car.. Wish I had kept it

      @TheIronDuke502 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BuffsGarage My dad used to trade vehicles more than some people change their clothes and owned just about anything that you could imagine. Dad in his later years before he passed on used to go to the KASP auto auction’s on the outskirts of Lexington KY and bought some pretty nice vehicles and did get burned a couple times.
      Dad had one of his friends who used to go to the auction with him in which Dad would kind of drop him off to scope out what was being auctioned. Oh the stories that I can tell.
      So, I retired from a state government equipment repair facility in which we worked on large trucks, heavy machinery and mowing tractors and anything else that you could imagine.
      I used to go to some of the fleet sales in which I bought a 1987 4wd S10 Blazer with a 2.8 engine with a 5 speed manual transmission. The floorboard was just about completely rusted out in which I cut a piece of marine plywood and painted it with the black undercoating.,The floorboard was actually pretty solid and worked fine until I got rid of the vehicle. Do you think Dalton would be proud(LOL).
