Will, it's us who need to thank you, since my daughter has done two of your courses her dog with regular puppy 'brain explodes' has become so calm, now the dog is going through dog adolescents and the perfect puppy has disappeared, but he is still calm and sociable - just has a few 'brain explodes' when he forgets the lot. Like when the dog lay down in the street and refused to get in the car (this is a huge dog 35 kg) or on a walk he ignore recall for a few minutes.

I've just rescued a 10 month old stafford/boston terrier mix and have been working on the eye contact that you talk about in so many of your videos. Every day is full of ups and downs--she has some bad habits that I'm dealing with, and she has tantrums on occassion-- but I do feel like we're making some good progress; thank you!

I had 3 Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies and used this technique with everyone of them and they were potty trained in 2-3 days!! Of course, since they’re puppies, you have to keep up the work to make sure it sticks and you don’t set them up for failure but this is THE BEST TECHNIQUE EVER!!! Thanks, Will, for all you do for animals and their human parents. I volunteer at a municipal shelter in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and just like everywhere else in America, the shelter is full to overflowing, and chronically understaffed. Anyway, love to learn as much as possible about giving rescues the best chance at a happy, healthy life with humans who care. Am wondering, though, if the UK has to deal with parvo virus, a potential killer of young puppies who aren't fully vaccinated by a certain age. Because of the virulence of parvo in America, puppies aren't allowed on the ground, i.e., public parks/streets, until fully protected.

My puppy is 11 weeks old and he does his wees and poos on his training mat, but when we go out he won’t do his business outside and waits till we are home to do them on his training mat, what can I do to encourage him to do his wees and poos outside when we are out for a walk , so far he is having 3walks in a day, one in the morning one at 12 and one in the evening just around the block

I'm having a similar problem with my 1 year-old rescue. He's a good boy and doesn't have accidents in the house, but he holds his pee/poo until we go to the park no matter how many times I take him to the backyard. Hopefully someone will have some suggestions for us!

Take his training mat outside where you want him to pee and slowly start phasing it out
