As much as I wish I had sent my dog to Brandon for training before bringing him home th-cam.com/users/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU I am so grateful for this down-to-earth, practical guide. His training techniques and tips really work. Thank you as well for dedicating your life's work to rescue dogs, and to rescuing those of us who want the very best for our 4-legged family members.

It's so great to see a training video with a less easy dog breed. There are so many videos of people showing their skills with Border Collies, Malinois and ect. But this is where your knowledge and talent has to kick in. Very useful video showing the subtle nuances training such breed and the reason behind it. Thank you for sharing it.
You mentioned that slip lead is your favourite tool. How would you compare it to a choke chain and Martingale? It would be lovely if you made a separate video about those and other training tools.

I have been doing exactly what you displayed in this vid, but until I saw this video I had no idea if my approach was sound or if I was creating more problems. I have never had a dog so independent/ stubborn in regards to having a natural dislike of a leash and going for walks. Historically it's always been me teaching my dogs to stop pulling, but never to start walking lol. Thanks again!

I've watched so many of your videos and I can definitely see the key theme being consistency and repetition. Such an important lesson to learn and understand when trying to communicate and build a relationship with an animal. People, I think, forget that communication in a way the dog can understand is the biggest hurdle. Thank you for these amazing videos!

(She has picked up very quickly the basic commands,) its manners we are really working on. Your videos consistently point us in the right direction. In fact you are the first trainer I have watched who talks about the importance of manners, and manners in all dogs, no matter how small and cute, are vitally important. Thankyou

I LOVE Eileen! It's so funny to me how stubborn all the giants I have worked with are. Just like this! I always tell my friends and family "you don't so much train a giant, as you negotiate with one" Once you're on the same page though, they'll do anything for you! And I mean anything! I don't think they're less intelligent, just that they want to do things their own way, and will bang their heads against a wall to get there! Like Eileen with the fence, "I want be with Puppy, but this isn't working, let me try here or here or maybe here? No? Ok I do something else" 😂😂😂 It sometimes does require a tremendous amount of patience, but they're all so sweet it's hard to get really cross with them. Thank you for this very real video, Will! ❤️

Thanks for your videos, you do a great job explaining things. I have a 2 months old American Akita, who doesn't seem to be motivated by treats. She digs her heels and doesn't want to move forward. I'm currently using a harness but will consider using a slip leash. Is it too early for slip leash training at this age?

I am definitely guilty of making all of the mistakes you mentioned in this video. Starting your Boot camp today and this will definitely help with the socialisation element.

Gonna try this on my 2yo old dalmatian, he wasnt trained as a puppy and my biggest wish is to walk him normally without pulling. The slip leash seems to help already so this is the next step for me. Thank you

I have been binge watching your videos like crazy I love them and I believe you have passed Cesar Milan in the dog training world😄 I have a serious question. The slip lead is obviously the best training tool for this method but can this be done with a collar or harness and still see results?

Loving the videos. Where can I get the leads you use from ?

Brother, you are an amazing coach/trainer . I don’t like flying my dog anywhere I purchase without it being at my feet . I would love a bullmastiff from you if you were a breeder but I’m in the states . I’m new to your channel and haven’t done my binging yet but if you breed let me know we just put a deposit on a male bullmastiff after losing our champ Grunt in October . This breed is unlike any other in my definitely biased mind 😂

My half German shepherd pup does this all the time 🙈 I end up walking him off leash most of the time...totally needed this video, thank you!
