    You. Are. A. Life. Saver!!!!! I am soon messing too replace my brakes and the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 I bought has Brembo brakes and right away I knew I was in for some broke times trying to replace them. So I started looking for alternatives. I'm a big stickler for "You get what you pay for" but I also like to find very similar products that deliver almost the exact, if not the very same exact, quality over brand name products and I couldn't find nothing. Until I came across your video. I will look for and research these brakes and buy some in the future for my car. Thanks again.

    I installed that kit on my 2010. Everything is a direct bolt on with 1 exception - the later cars have a 14mm bolt to attach the caliper adapters to the uprights and the early cars have 12mm. I bought a special drill bit to drill the holes out. If you want it let me know and I'll mail it to you. I also did the 2007 Charger police rear brakes - all you need is the caliper adapters and the rotors - same calipers. As for braking - WAY better than the stock stuff. When I bought my new 2017 R/T it was obvious it does stop nearly as well as my 2010 did. Oh, and do yourself a favor and get Power Stop pads so you don't have brake dust from hell.

    I sold to speed shops for a while, put brake packages together for Mopar guys & if it was out of their customer's budget, I would also look at pad performance based on what they were doing with the car, street, track etc... There may be pads by Brembo, Stoptech, EBC or any number of manufacturers that has higher performance ratings with Mopar rotors & calipers... The key is everything fitting together properly but if it does, Mixing & matching can work & keep costs low x max performance.

    I've started tracking my 2015 R/T. Are you saying the Mopar Big brake kit is helpful for track days, or that it would be better to spend the ginormous $ and buy a Brembo or Baer or Wilwood?

    • @TrackPackRT
      @TrackPackRT  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't honestly say! I haven't had the pleasure of trying these different brake combinations out side by side. A track day with each would be the ultimate test to see how much better one setup would be than the other and if that would justify the price gap. For better daily driving extra stopping power though, it's pretty hard to look past the mopar kit for the price!

    It came from the factory with the Mopar Big Brake Kit.
    Get ready...
    It SUX.

    • @TrackPackRT
      @TrackPackRT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting. I wonder why that is. They've still got to be a huge upgrade from the regular R/T braking package. That's strange that they warped so bad, that's the first time I've heard of that.

      @scottdoubleyou563 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TrackPackRT Me too. I was happily surprised when I found out I had the Pursuit package. I knew that would make the car better in respect to braking, and suspension durability. I have raced the car 3 times since I bought it, so it's not abused. @Cravenmooreheadism 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Track Pack R/T I’m ordering brand new rotors lol and power stop brake pads, they don’t dust as much as brembos. I’m installed SRT spindles in the front so the brembos can bolt on. I’ma have wheels spacers too but’s it’s ok because I’m going wide body kit. For rears I gotta order SRT rear knuckles and I’ll have no issue bolting my brembos on. Willwood and other brakes weigh less but I’m pretty sure brembos got better stopping power, there is reason only top performance car manufactures use brembos.
