When I first unlocked this ending, I was so confused at first, and excited because it was something I hadn’t seen before. This moment always stuck with me, even 14-ish years later. This will always be one of my most treasured games that’s for sure.

The way you push through everything in your path to defeat everyone in your way, and recruit a few new faces along the journey, and then after that final trophy-- Mirror Lightning (or Special if you wanted to end on a rainbow), and in the credits, you moving past everyone in the end. You overcame everything, and the game-- while it's out of things to reward you with-- wanted to commemorate that.
Because we all grew up with mario as a kid. So it gives of a sense of peace. No worries, no life problems, the only problems being us hiding the DS under our pillows to prevent getting caught. But Kids will never experience this type of feeling because its about fortnite nowadays which I don’t hate but not a fan of. And not to mention Satoru Iwatas death, hope that man is resting well.

If it wasn't for those trollers, MK7 Police and Logan Pham-Nguyen wouldn't be around. MKDS was my childhood. It was the first MK game I ever played, and I first played it when I was 7. I'm 20 now, and this is one of those tunes where I get goosebumps and feel emotional every time I hear it. In my opinion, MKW is the greatest MK game of all time, but I think MKDS is a very close second. I don't want to play MK7, but it's what I've got. The MK7 community hates me, but I'm very well respected in MKDS and MKW.
man. this nostalgia is so unreal. I play this song in my head every time I get nostalgic. this is probably the best credits screen ever created. by ANY company. I hope that one day, my broken DS lite will be fixed. if it ever gets fixed, this will be the first game played on it. I basically 100% this game.

I remember me and my brother used to play this game all the time, we'd always team on the NPCs so that we'd place top 2. We were good sports back then, but now my brother gets mad when I beat him at anything. But one day we can go back to being ok with the other beating us. Maybe if I go to gamestop and purchase two copies and charge our DS's we could do a few thousand more races. Point is, this game was part of my childhood I may pretty much still be a child but still I miss the early 2000s.
Damn, this shit reminds me when was 6, maybe 2008, all those multiplayer races with the guys are beautiful memories that I will keep and I will remember until I die. :')

Seeing the ending screen after the credits also only made that night more memorable to me. Looking back, it feels so much like a dream, and I honestly envy some things that my younger self had in the late 2000s and early 2010s. I promise to check back on this game once the same ds I had is eventually fixed.

It was my first DS game too! Heck, I even got it in 2012 as well. However instead of a DS, I have gotten a 3DS. Although two years ago, I bought myself my DS lite. As I enjoy playing DS on there more than the 3DS. Since the D pad is higher and softer. So it’s more comfortable to play.

The first time I heard this song in my new gameplay it was... it was just so special in the good way... probably the best Mario Kart game I ever played (it's also my very first Mario Kart game and one of my first video game) I remember playing this game locally with some family and recently with friends who sadly never played the game, but loves it too, and now knowing the fact that the game will turn 20 years old in 2 years and a half make me feel old...
