After owning a Full Track, XM-18 3.5" & XM-24, I really like the Project X with the clip point blade profile. Now if we can just get some TI scale options the circle will be complete....
I still to this day have never owned a Hinderer knife. I have handled an XM18 3.5 inch and an XM24........they're cool......but I'm more of a ZT 0562 guy. I've been contemplating getting a ZT 0308 but I'm afraid I won't carry it if it's close to an xm18. Great video MC 🤙
@@nopenope7088 I also don't know but I'm thinkin it'll be good because on video it looks smaller than the flipper on the 0562 and it seems to barely stick out once deployed
The aggressive flipper tab also takes being able to accommodate fast reliable opening while wearing gloves into the design. Hard use, first responder, high speed military, etc. type stuff that it’s made for often involves wearing gloves. 👍
i feel like any hinderer folder with a hook shaped flipper tab with jimping on the side are meant to be push button style flipped on the jimping. Definitely helps!
Funny timing. Just today at a buddies house grinded down my xm18 flipped to delete that “hook”. Its knocked down just enough to have enough to grip but not so pokey.
Nice knife, but my 2 Xm18 3.5's fit my hand so perfect. Im stoke to get my Fieldtac, I should have it within a week. It will be my outdoors knife/kitchen knife.
I use my XM-24 in the woods quite a bit, holding the rear of the handle and a lanyard over the hand for security (so you don’t throw it) works great but the “jimping” on the lock bar tension cut out are the worst bit about the handle. The XM-18 has slightly less and that is better.
Just checked how many variations there are: Project X is available in 35 variations of *OUT OF STOCK* . 😂 I think I might not go for the Clip Point-Battle Blue-Red G10. 🤣
The x is amazing, but how the heck do you get one thats not marked up 100%? I had to give up🥺. But i will end up with 3 very nice knifes instead . Maybe one day i will find one thats exactly what i want and not 1200$
Now if they made the XM-18 3.5/3" with the same hardware/ back-spacer tool and the quality of life improvements as the Project X It could be my one and done knife for life, but sadly it will probally never happen.
I gotta stop watching these Hinderer videos. I want that XM24 and there's one available on his site but I need be responsible and spend that money on a wedding ring instead. It's almost painful to let that one go and not pick it up.

Project X is the first Hinderer to hit my desire button. Nothing against any of the other models they just didn't speak to me.

I really like the look of the 0308 with the tiger stripe but I’m afraid the flipper tab might suck. Haven’t handled it personally so I don’t know.

The project X is my favorite Hinderer out of all my Hinderer knifes
My xm24 is easier to open than my two xm18’s and would tend to grab the 24 first.

Yeah I just bought one off of eBay for $640.00 ti-blue with orange scale. Love my half track…fantastic little blade.
I hope someone makes a custom Project X in a "Weapon-X" theme (Deadpool). That would make me happy.
I'm extremely lucky neither my xm-24 ,xm18 hurts nor is it uncomfortable to open via thumbstud or flipper tap.. but my friends is murder
