The drain pump filter basket needs to be cleaned every 2 to 6 months. It takes about 15 to 30 minutes. The filter basket is located at the bottom of the machine. Remove the front or back panel, whichever is less work. Unscrew and slide out the pump basket filter. Wash it thoroughly, dry and apply some silicon grease to the o-ring before reinstalling. A totally clogged basket may throw any of these error codes F9, E1, SUD or SD. A sure sign is also excessive motor hum during the drain cycle which indicates straining.

Yes, and there were two more in there. Baby socks, so they were small. Since this video there have been more socks that found their way into the filter basket.
