    It's like comparing the full-size and compact versions of the same pistol if you ask me. It's like having a CZ 75 and a CZ 75 Compact. Do you need both? Probably not. Is it cool to have both? Oh, hell yes! Performance-wise, I think they're pretty close overall. Slight edge to the Type B for looks.

    Same European company! Arsenal had a contractual issue with the US distributor, and Archon is now more for the American market, with some US parts.

    Not to muddy the waters but...I wonder what you guys would think or be able to do with the Salient Arms Tier One Strike One? Cool comparison video! Enjoyed it immensely! Thanks!

      Thanks, I've looked into the Salient, but can't afford one at the moment. It looks like they've taken care of any negatives I have with the original. Would be great to get one in.

    Phew, tough call! Off topic, I've never seen you two together, you make a great couple 😁 Aaaand I'm back. The grip on the the Type B reminds me of my CZ P10c, just with rounded stippling. I've never actually used a flat trigger before, so I can't make a call on that, but damn you guys make it look so easy! lol Teya may have out shot you here big guy..... Anywho, great comparison, but despite the 4-mags that the Type B comes with, and availability, plus the price tag (and still fantastic design), I'd have to stick with the Arsenal! I would *still* like a Stryk B to see if I'd like it for carry purposes.

    • @wbwills2
      @wbwills2 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep. On all of it. And that B. A little bit more rounded in the butt area? Just a smidge. Tabletop time. They sure do seem to be having a good time together. It’s a good thang. Sure better for the brain than watching the news. I can say that with certainty. I don’t know about you but there’s very few on here that they show or review that are bad. I think I need a 12 step program. This might be becoming a problem for me. Could be worse

    Thank you for making this video.
    The sight testing method you used is irrelevant though. The whole "ready up, single shot" process is much more shooter skill dependent than it is dependent on the sights the gun is supplied with.
    The test you performed really showcases if the shooter has a well developed index, consistent grip, trigger discipline, and understanding of how to use sights.

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rady up might be a skill-related task if we shot these guns regularly, but we don't. Both of us carry completely different guns, and did our Front Sight, CENTER-T, ITTS, VerTac, Sentinel Concepts, and Thunder Ranch courses with different guns, so in picking up a "new" gun the sights and grip really do make an impact.

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, about every six months to check for rust and corrosion depending on where you live.

      @@benralphsmith6091 No problem. If a gun is going to be stored for a while I recommend a light coat of oil on all metal surfaces, but then again it depends on the climate you're in and where it'll be stored. For example garages tend to have higher humidity than the house, and folks in the South have a lot more rust to worry about than those in Arizona.

  • @kimballscarr
    @kimballscarr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ain't steel... ain't real... seriously these are are rare bird due to the locking mechanism... that works great. It takes some recoil energy and redirects in an off axis in operating the locking block, and that the barrel remains horizontal. Both real pluses. The issue with this is it adds one part to the mechanism a separate locking block. Of course the ideal is to have the barrel fixed rather than sliding but it is halfway there. Essentially the same design just different variants. Of course, nearly ALL semi-auto pistol operate on the titling barrel mechanism, and those that don't tend to be fumble apart and out-fumble together... except this one due to the cam pin.

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are very wrong about Glock mags. Most pistols have their own internal geometry which dictates magazine shape, size, and more importantly where and how The mag catch is cut.

    I strangly have shot both pistols and would not include either in my arsenal. Maybe pivot back to more popular or traditional models. They are both off the radar of most enthusiasts. If you enjoy , good for you but, not something I would be reviewing over and over. Love your non-sheep mentality though.

      Thanks, yeah generally the more something is talked about the less we want to cover it. I work in the industry and understand hwo product launches are performed. Additionally, if a channel mentions a retailer or offers a link it's likely because they're getting paid when you purchase there. We don't do that, not that I wouldn't love the money, but I don't want extra cash in my pocket influencing how we talk about a product. We have stuff we personally like and don't like, but money to sweeten our tune is refused.
