+GY6vids I cant get over how shitty that engraving looks, it looks like Michael J. Fox got ahold of the engraver.. I love your vids by the way I started watching 2 days ago and ive made it this far from you shooting groceries vid.
One thing I really like about this video is the fact that you actually know how to hold and shoot both pistols to control the recoil. It's surprising how many shooters don't. I feel your video with slow motion, ect. Is the best representation of both the Glock and strike1. Thank you.
***** It is so refreshing to see another left handed shooter. Even the 3 different shooting competitions I go to during the week I am the only person with a holster on my left side. Too many manufacturers overlook us with single side controls like safety levers and slide lock/release. Getting used to manipulating the slide lock and mag release with your index finger is not a huge feat, but learning to draw with your thumb over top of the slide to disengage the safety and then move your thumb back over before you present the muzzle to your target just leaves too much margin for error.
I have serial 377 and 378 consecutive numbers. Everyone I have done a demonstration with and let try out loves it. The balance and weight and tactile feel along with its so smooth operation is like eating a fine salty snack or sugary candy. Just very satisfying. Thank you for the video.
The Strike One pistol reminds me of the accuracy of the TT33 pistol. It looks like a well designed pistol. I'd like to see modular frame and a 10mm caliber version.
just received my strike one last week, I am very happy with it. 1500 rounds first range day. Did find a slight issue with hornady defense rounds failing to extract for the first 250 rounds. After 500 rounds i have not had another issue with it extracting. this gun is replacing my current conceal carry. kimber pro carry 2. Great 1911 but for a small guy like me, was hard to keep concealed. As of now im very happy with the concealment of this weapon.
in sweden these retail for about 800 usd, about the same as the glock. So im thinking about picking one up for use in IPSC matches. Great review, keep it up!
Andrew, i see many of these pistols for sale here in Switzerland and Europe, never give atencion... after this video i'll think about buy one in the future. awesome review.. Tks
I just bought mine from Sooner State Arsenal in Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago for $749 out the door delivered! Mine is olive drab with a black slide and it is an awesome gun! Thanks for the review.
this is the gun that the Archon B is based on I’m not sure why this gun never became more popular. These are very flat shooting ,accurate and reliable pistols with good ergonomics and they look really cool to boot I see these every now and again used for under 600 bucks which to me is a great value
This channel normally seems to post videos portrayed toward gamers and people who don't really know much about firearms (360 hip shooting for example) this video actually made good points and I enjoyed the more serious review.
AF Strike One is close to perfection in terms of my expectations of what a full-size duty gun should be like: fits a bigger than average palm right home, robust, accurate. To be honest, I did have a few misfires during the break-in time. Having let a range instructor shoot it, I attribute misfires to my pressing the slide too hard with my oversized fingers. Now that the recoil spring has been changed and the back sight turned to fiber-optic, I literally count days till my next shooting workout with this thing.
Why doesn't people understand height of bore axis in semi auto pistol doesn't influence muzzle rise as most of people think. Only hand full of people in the world knows that fact. I think may be the German SIG engineers know it too. And definitely a Czechoslovakian gun designer of a new pistol and caliber(I forgot the name of it) understands this fact. Only in a revolver height of the bore matters, but not in semi-auto.
I had one of these for a while. Mine has competition trigger , really nice. Only drawback this gun has is crappy magazine chat has design. You can see what I'm talking about in my review.
I put this comment on your last ballistic test video and got no response so here it is again👍 I was watching some of demolition ranches old videos on untraceable shotgun slugs he used coconut oil and it was so,equation successful at penetrating various items and after watching that I watched your most recent ballistic test video and thought I might throw this idea your way 👍👍 I'm sure if you talked to Matt from demolition ranch he'd help ya out on this vid!! Thanks for your time - Logan
whats funny is I knew already that the recoil would be near identical to the glock. If you really look, the Glock gives you just about the same axis to to the bore. great review.
Sweet vid man I love the day taofladermaus said to go check out your channel. You post sweet vids with guns and reviews. Can't wait to see more vids keep up the good work.
When you say you are sponsoring something straight up, it makes it a lot more tolerable than someone who seems embarrassed about sponsoring stuff in their videos. It also actually makes me interested in the other products. I almost bought a Glock a while ago, but I think I might pick up this (Strike One) or a MP 40 Shield. Have you tried and MP 40? Good job sir.
Excellent review! But I have to know, where did you find the cycle animation, the little vid that was inserted on the bottom right around 1:17, that shows the internal workings of the mechanism while firing? I would really like to study that closer! Thanks, and again, great video, great review, as always!
The Salient Arms Strike One Tier One is way better than the Glock, Salient has taken this pistol to a whole new level, I just bought 2 pistols and it blows my buddies Glock away. He even wants one now.
I've found that bore axis doesn't really mean crap. Ergonomics makes more of a difference. I have found the new Sig P320 with a high bore axis to have less muzzle flip and recoil than my glocks and god knows the Sigs bores sit quite high. I'm switching from Glock to a P320 for next year's season.
Hey man like the review bro……i'm still caught between the glock and the strike one…..this review has certainly cleared up some of my questions…..hoping to get my hand on a strike one soon to try it out ….thanks man
Love the video your reviews on all weapons keeps us new to the sport and art well informed. I also loved that you had a compare pistol to the one you are reviewing that makes a nice mash up for comparison work. However the fact you are using your competition against a slandered for the side by side accuracy testing I am wondering now how it will holp up against a out of the box glock or S&W MP?
GY6vids You might want to consider redoing the accuracy test with a stock Glock barrel instead of the Lone Wolf to get a better idea between the two from their factory configuration.
yeah i realize that, but I have shot both and they are very similar. This really isn't a which gun is better test, but the Glock is more there for a comparison to something else in its category.
Would love to see a comparison between the CZ P09 and Arsenal Strike one. I love my P09 and to me it is my most accurate semi auto pistol in my collection next to my 1911. But then again I shouldn't compare a striker fired pistol to a hammer fire. Good review still contemplating.
Now I'd like to see a video with a real world competition level shooting challenge done with the gun to show the quality , with two separate shooters taking turns to see what a more general use might be. (say a glock and the striker) A good test might be two shooters who are relatively new to the sport so that 'trained' responses don't effect the results, and the guns get judged for their performance, not the shooters. Swapping guns and doing the challenge over then shows what the guns can do by eliminating the shooter's responses.
yeah, low bore axis the the other fire arms is right but what are they after? muzzle flip, muzzle rise, from the recoil? where are those energy gonna go after those recoil spring ran out? compare to walther ccp those make more sense. they use those gas to slow down slide from coming back so hard and have recoil spring light enough just to stripe the next round in to chamber those more science. the price only half of this. if you review and compare this strike one and walther ccp that would be nice
The paper that comes with it says 500 round break in period. What are your views on that as I talked to Ifc about that and that was one of their very first mentions was a full break in count. So I see you endorse break through and battle born. I do as well and gave done demonstrations at many events. How does this compare to frog lube and rand clp if you have any use with those two. I have the battle born items as well but have not tried the grease yet. How do you like it. I should get if the x and do a demo if the oil and grease. Altough saying it's grease lends itself to being an organic based item in my mind. Maybe anything thicker than water and solid could be category as grease. Thanks.
In your slow-mo clips I can notice the slide on Strike One kinda hesitating going forward when it picks up a new round. Maybe that's why those malfunction happened
Love your videos and not trying to hate on you but i was taught that no matter how sure you are that there isnt a bullet in the chamber after you drop the mag you clear the chamber then break it down for cleaning, but that could just be me and my instructors being extra paranoid.
I read somewhere that the Strike One will no longer be imported into USA...will be the Stryker? Any truth to that? I have mine now...so a moot point for me.
nice review!! I always enjoy your reviews , one of them helped me pick my first gun the H&K45 .. now im looking for a 9mm pistol and ive been thinking about sticking with H&K and getting the VP9 have you shot one? what did you think?
ya thats the issue is the price , seems a couple bucks more than it should be but who knows . hopefully come down a bit so we can check it out , good Reveiw
Hello, I am from Germany and I`m very impressed by your guys vids . The strike one is now to buy here and because I`m a left hand shooter as you are I have some questions to you : how do you manage to shoot a Gen 3 Glock as a lefty : do you have to change your grip when you change your mag or by pressing the slide release ?
GY6vids: I really enjoy your videos, I'm 34 yrs and about to purchase my first gun, I've never even shot 1 before! Do u have any suggestions for me or what I should be looking for? ???
Send me a direct message on Social Media @GY6vids if you have further questions ....I be sure to look out for it, just give me a heads up about who you are in the message. It really just come down to what you will use it for. Home/Personal Defense, open carry/ concealed carry, just for fun, for sport, or target shooting. Also what factors mean more to you Reliability/Comfort/Looks/...let me know, just remember, one mans FAVORITE GUN can be another's NIGHTMARE. So just because Myself or someone else says, this gun feels and shoots great, its still on you to go take a look at the options and see what you think personally. Let me know.
+GY6vids The B is a compact. You're not gonna test it? Even with a Glock safety trigger? Come on man. I really like this pistol and wanted a heads up to see how they compare and add them to my small collection of Glocks. Not a complete fanboy. I love my FNX45 too. Lol
You covered every single question I had about the strike one, plus a few I didn't think of, thanks
+Shane K My pleasure Shane. Glad you enjoyed the video.
+GY6vids I cant get over how shitty that engraving looks, it looks like Michael J. Fox got ahold of the engraver.. I love your vids by the way I started watching 2 days ago and ive made it this far from you shooting groceries vid.
@@coreyhamby2989 greetings from 2019. engraving is still s*it.
I like the way you reviewed this firearm. I like the quality of the info without all the fluff and hype.
Dark122Knight Thank you

I like reviews, at 14, it gives me a good base on how to build my arsenal, but the teen in me wants to see big boom!
The Strike One pistol reminds me of the accuracy of the TT33 pistol. It looks like a well designed pistol.
I'd like to see modular frame and a 10mm caliber version.
I've been wanting to see this gun in action. Awesome video
Thank you

Im surprised you are allowed to own fire arms in Sweden!
Andrew, i see many of these pistols for sale here in Switzerland and Europe, never give atencion... after this video i'll think about buy one in the future. awesome review.. Tks
Always quality vids, better than most youtube channels IMO
Thank you very much! Your support is appreciated....everyone has their own style, but Im glad you enjoy mine.
I just bought mine from Sooner State Arsenal in Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago for $749 out the door delivered! Mine is olive drab with a black slide and it is an awesome gun! Thanks for the review.
Although I'm not very impressed with the pistol itself, I absolutely loved the video. The side by side comparison was my favorite part.
Thank you very much. If you ever get a chance to shoot one, do it, and you'll see what I mean
this is the gun that the Archon B is based on I’m not sure why this gun never became more popular. These are very flat shooting ,accurate and reliable pistols with good ergonomics and they look really cool to boot I see these every now and again used for under 600 bucks which to me is a great value
Correct! They are amazing pistols
Awesome seeing the gun being broken down. Great vid dude.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Dam Andrew, your videos have come a long way! I love the high speed and the animated graphics. Keep up the great work!
Solid review man.. keep up the goodness

Ian Jacob I produce a little bit of everything...In the words of Mr. Gump...."Like a box of Chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get!" lol
Ian Jacob Thank you
Guys who nitpick about the laser engraved letters on a gun are not "gun-guys", they're, "pistol princesses!"
Excellent review! I have been wanting a Strike One for a few years now. Thanks again
***** Glad you enjoyed the video
Very well thought out vid! Bravo sir
tony elum Thank you Tony
one of best best gun for now

Hey Andrew, great vid. Any chance of you getting the "Speed" version review?
Lord Maggot Ive been looking into it.
Excellent, detailed review. Thanks!
Excellent Video. Subbed and best wishes from the UK.
Loved the set up of this video, I struggle to find comfort with 9mm but love the 1911, might look into getting this in the future.
GY6vids surprised all the haters haven't blown up the comments yet :\ Rock on Gy6!
hahahah They are usually too scared to do it here, #GY6trollpatrol #GY6nation is on point and take no prisoners lol
Great video! Tons of pertinent information and great shooting, one of my favorites in quite a while!! Thanks!!
Thank you!
Good post. I do carry for duty a G19C but the StrikeOne was a good surprise to me.Happy owner.Keep followin u from Italy .
Love your videos mate, from Scotland.
ive wanted one for a long time, reminds me of the DB9
. great vid
I had one of these for a while. Mine has competition trigger , really nice. Only drawback this gun has is crappy magazine chat has design. You can see what I'm talking about in my review.
sweet gun! great video! Loved the bloopers lol you should have shot the bird for interrupting your dam shot :D
Lolol thank you
Damn, cool video breh! Keep up the good work.
Scott Sherman Thank you Scott
Excellent vid! Thanks.
Great video great honest comparisons keep it up GY6!
RAIN6- Custom Firearm Training & Solutions Thank you! Much more to come.

I know Matt, yeah I'll maybe discuss it with him someday.
Sweet thanks!
BEAUTIFUL GUN, DO REMEMBER A PISTOL Glok, HERE IN BRAZIL HAVE NO RIGHT TO BUY THESE WEAPONS, LIKE BEAUTIFUL VIDEO.
THANK YOU
Oh man that sucks! Sorry to hear that. Thanks for watching my video though Gilter
only the criminals have a right to own guns in Brasil
actually crime in Brazil this only increasing, unfortunately.
You DO have a right to keep and bear weapons, but your government does not recognize or protect your rights. Sorry, friend.
whats funny is I knew already that the recoil would be near identical to the glock. If you really look, the Glock gives you just about the same axis to to the bore. great review.
Sweet vid man I love the day taofladermaus said to go check out your channel. You post sweet vids with guns and reviews. Can't wait to see more vids keep up the good work.
Thank you Jase. More Custom Shotgun Loads coming soon!
Great vid Andrew. Is there a length difference?
I'm impressed with the gun , a low bore axis is something l look for when i am buying pistols. if only i had 1,000 dollars to get one
Great shooting pistol.
I'm always surprised that there are so many Glock comparisons. The more likely comparison would seem to be the Steyr A1 series.
Excellent review! But I have to know, where did you find the cycle animation, the little vid that was inserted on the bottom right around 1:17, that shows the internal workings of the mechanism while firing? I would really like to study that closer! Thanks, and again, great video, great review, as always!
Beautiful gun. Looks nice and seems to work good. If it's cheaper than some other guns...I'm interested! Thanks Andrew.
Nice pistol, Man! :) G'stuff as always! :D
In your opinion, which platform is better, the CZ p10c or the Strike One?
The Salient Arms Strike One Tier One is way better than the Glock, Salient has taken this pistol to a whole new level, I just bought 2 pistols and it blows my buddies Glock away. He even wants one now.
well of course it does. Look at the price difference as well though LOL.
I wish they were approved for California. I'd love to have one of those pistols. Thanks for the great review.
+Carl Love Glad you enjoyed it!
Where can we find the animation of the Strike One cycling?
Thanks and best regards.
Hey man like the review bro……i'm still caught between the glock and the strike one…..this review has certainly cleared up some of my questions…..hoping to get my hand on a strike one soon to try it out ….thanks man

Nice weapon...good job on the review my friend
Jim Boetjer Thank you very much Jim!;-)
ooks like a mix between a cz 75 and glock, but with the slide smashed to have extremely low axis.

Hey you mentioned down here in tx... what part of tx are you in? Just curious. In a little north of Austin.
Now I'd like to see a video with a real world competition level shooting challenge done with the gun to show the quality , with two separate shooters taking turns to see what a more general use might be. Have you ever shot a nighthawk 1911? That would probably be cool to compare the strike one to.
have you done any reviews on sig sauers?
Great video Bro!
Thank you
I like the pistol. Looks like it could use a heavier spring though. Who makes the front fiber optic sight you put on it?
For me iv found the pistol that rivals the desert eagle and the desert eagle is my favorite pistol
how has the arsenal strike one has been holding up? its been almost a yr
Thanks for the video, the FTF made my mind up. I'll stick to what I know.
Looks like the recoil spring is too heavy it's bringing down your front sights when moving into battery
NEW GUN....it smoothed out.
Don't they have a ported version?
Hi GY6, Will you be reviewing the PMG Stryk A and if so, when is it coming out?
Can you compare it to a vp9?
Have you done a vp9 vid?
How do they compare?
Did you have a chance to shoot some +P ammo through it?
Any chance we'll see a torture test... grit, mud, sand, water, oil ? Glock vs Strike One or just the Strike One?
yeah, low bore axis the the other fire arms is right but what are they after? muzzle flip, muzzle rise, from the recoil? where are those energy gonna go after those recoil spring ran out? compare to walther ccp those make more sense. they use those gas to slow down slide from coming back so hard and have recoil spring light enough just to stripe the next round in to chamber those more science. the price only half of this. if you review and compare this strike one and walther ccp that would be nice
Love this video, looks like Glock won!! I'm going to go out an buy a Glock 19. Thanks for the sweet vid.
Thanks.
Where can we purchase one?
Good review and camera work. This firearm is interesting to me but obviously low bore axis is not everything!
Can u do a review of the PPQ 45 by Walther.
Nice video, wondering if the thicker 9mm conversion barrel made a difference in the recoil of the G22. Really nice video!
In your slow-mo clips I can notice the slide on Strike One kinda hesitating going forward when it picks up a new round. Maybe that's why those malfunction happened
Could be, yeah I saw that as well.
GY6vids did that malfunction happen before or after the end of the break in period?
Going to order one to try next to a glock!! great video
Thank you!
Looks like a winner!
Will the strike one take the 17/18/19 round Mec-Gar mags for the CZ75B?
No
awesome vid.i dig.
Nick Langille Thank you Nick
+Nick Langille There's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig.
Love your videos and not trying to hate on you but i was taught that no matter how sure you are that there isnt a bullet in the chamber after you drop the mag you clear the chamber then break it down for cleaning, but that could just be me and my instructors being extra paranoid.
william trimble I did bud. these are all things that happen. Every time. Just cant show it every time.
GY6vids Ok I understand that
I read somewhere that the Strike One will no longer be imported into USA...will be the Stryker? Any truth to that?
I have mine now...so a moot point for me.
nice review!! I always enjoy your reviews , one of them helped me pick my first gun the H&K45 .. now im looking for a 9mm pistol and ive been thinking about sticking with H&K and getting the VP9 have you shot one? what did you think?
ya thats the issue is the price , seems a couple bucks more than it should be but who knows . hopefully come down a bit so we can check it out , good Reveiw
Thank you
What do you think the two FTFs were caused by.........mag spring/ follower? Seems like the straight line feeding would never have a FTF.....
Butch Nowak I honestly think it could be low powder charge in the ammo.
At the end of the video is showing Andrew holding the strike one next to the target he shot with the glock??
Sean Leckie Similar group with both firearms, using it as reference.
Thomas Muffang You can hit it with your middle finger aww you grab the spare magazine
What will you do now that it's the Salient Arms Stryk 1 A & B?
+Scott Frailey haha same gun...no other tests needed. Just different name.
+GY6vids The B is a compact. You're not gonna test it? Even with a Glock safety trigger? Come on man. I really like this pistol and wanted a heads up to see how they compare and add them to my small collection of Glocks. Not a complete fanboy. I love my FNX45 too. Lol
If I had the choice between Strike One, glock 21, fn fnp 45, fnx-45, for competitive precision shooting, which should I buy?
Glock 41
Too late, as I already got the Strike One. Better than any glock I've ever shot.
Im willing to bet you've never shot a glock 41
Jonah Patton True, I don't think I have.
