I love using this lure and watching all you vids . Watched Mick’s vids on the splash prawn, and he replied straight up to my question. Not many small lures that will match the hatch here on the west coast, the splash prawn is awesome here in the flats
I've got a couple of the smaller version for day fishing in Sydney on secluded Parra banks and these bigger type look good for night on the beach , I watched the show and like a good thriller show at the end I was like don't snag , Subbed in yellow dude great work
Oh hell yes a 95mm Splash Prawn, bring on April. It looks like Mick has put some decent trebles on it, are they nice and "sticky" and do you reckon the assist hooks you mentioned attached to the rear hook eyelet will be of benefit like they are on the 70mm? I like the way they look like antennae and they seem to get those less committed strikes from wary fish. Thanks for the info as always John, cheers.
Hey mate I bought a splash prawn on your recommendation. Really bloody happy with it. It’s unique in the way it acts. Unfortunately a bit of the paddle snapped off. Not sure if it’s a build issue or I had had a few too many beers and clipped it on the garage roof when I got home... anyway.. great lure I recommend to anyone reading and fishing creeks
Another good video mate!!! Ive always liked the mmd prawn, even though it hasnt caught me much. MMD must be reading my mind though.... I aways wished they had a larger size, just for added weight for a longer cast and also thought they should have a gold one for the jacks. Looks like both my wishes have been granted. Will be getting one or 2 for sure once they are released.
Mate I’m from Sydney and only use egg beaters, Daiwa exists for estuary fishing. Im amazed at your accuracy. I skip my lures into snags. Should I try an overhead? I’ve never used a small one. You cast on a dime. I can’t do that with my reels.

Bought one. Caught two jack on it so far an missed a few along with trevs an bream so I bought five more but will probably get more. Gotta have all the colours an sizes lol

5’6 is crazy to me. Going to have to get a short stick for jerk baits and thick cover top water casting
