    Awesome vid mate, cool spot you got there, sometimes it’s nice just to go out and bang a heap of fish and not be too worried about how big they are 🤙🏼

      Cheers mick! Yea it’s a good little spot that’s pretty reliable this time of year. Can’t go wrong with a couple of guaranteed fish on Topwater on the right tide (irrespective of size of fish haha)

    Hi Dan, great vid. I love fishing surface for almost everything. I've often wondered how much the fish see of the lovely paint colours on top of a surface lure given that they are only looking at the bottom. Like you , I often change colours but never really seems to make a difference.

      I think it’s more to catch our eye than the fish! If you put the lure in the right spot at the right time, a fish is not gonna change its mind to eat it or not based on its paint scheme 🤷‍♂️

    Hey, what size is the prawn that you were using at the start? I've been thinking of getting one, but I'm not sure what size to get. Thanks.

      70mm! Good for bream and bass

      Structure galore! Very snaggy!
      People have said in this area that there’s jacks… I’m yet to cross paths with one but as years go on I reckon they’ll show up at some stage! I wouldn’t stand a chance with the light setup 😂

    What knot are u using for the splash prawns?

    • @dang.fishing
      @dang.fishing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Straight bloodknot. You’ll get a more consistent pop. Do a loop knot if you want a more erratic action (popping plus the occasional walk the dog)

    Hey mate,thanks for the content. Can I ask if you switch your leader from fluro to mono when throwing topwater as mono floats ? I chop and change however want to know if its worth the hassle. Cheers

      @dang.fishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for tuning in I appreciate it! I tend to throw mono when throwing light leaders (up to 10lb). Generally above 10-12lb I find fluro has less effect on topwater lure action. That’s my personal preference but still have caught plenty of fish using light fluro leader. In saying all of that, in this session I was using fluro (8lb) and it didn’t have too much impact!
