Seeing Jim overlooking the car still even though Con is awesome just reminds me the cars origins and longevity around the CRD stables Andrew. Glad to see the outcome and looking forward to the future tests with real interest
God damned this is going to be cool! Bring out the popcorn🍿! It's so nice to see all this knowledge and experimenting in these videos, it's a breath of fresh air compared to the run-of-the-mill hotboi youtuber GTR's. Keep up the awesomeness!
I’m running 750ish WHP @39psi out of an 86.5mm piston’d, cam’d, twin turbo’d (still), RB26 BNR32 and all I can say is… you make me wanna tear everything down and spend $100,000 on my car first thing in the AM. Thanks for being so a great resource and technical help to all of us out there looking for ways to go faster more reliably and safely!
Unreal Andrew, i have been following for quite sometime and have watched JET014 grow and it is a treat to see the build over the years. Still gives me hope that one day could do this level of build. Never stop sharing!
19:56 and 20:11 the feeling of enjoyment you don't get unless you build it yourself! :) congrats man! I remember the feeling of mine when I got a measly 400kw and it was exactly that!
Isn't it funny how that is? 400kw is VERY powerful, way faster than most cars on the street. But suddenly when you compare it to 600kw it's suddenly feeling sluggish, even though it's already way more than you'd ever need! 🤷
If this isn’t a massive epic journey into the land of bliss, I don’t know what is !?! If you like engine building, developing and tuning it literally doesn’t get better then this. Thank you for such wicked content Andrew !
Elite 2500 PnP ECU, Mamba D5 turbos, Nismo Plenum, IEE DBW, V-Cam, OEM GTR coils and injectors and it's a transformed car! 400kw with better than stock fuel consumption and spool on a 2.6! Bolt Ons FTW!
That's a hallmark of a well tuned street car, how smooth the power band and how driveable the GTR is. Awesome build! Reminds me of the Mine's tuning philosopy.
Thanks for the support. been a long road. The turbo tapped put at 900 on 2.6 and would do same on 3.2 but less boost. The back pressure is high at that power and not worth the stress on the engine while were testing parts. G45-1500 will take us past 1100hp piece of cakw
@@MotiveVideo Always support u guys, best auto channel ever! Thanks 🙏🏽 so much for reply as I just installed G35-1050 on my 34R(2.6) & info u give is invaluable 👌🏽.
I pretty much run your original GTX35 twin scroll setup on my 34 although bigger exhaust cam. When I moved to 3L, the boost threshold came right down, it builds boost just driving in traffic down at 2000rpm. Glad you're happy with your result mate.
Andrew the look on your face and the laugh after those pulls just screams pure happiness and enjoying that moment. Congratulations man! You deserve it after all the hard work. Can’t wait to see more.
Looking lean and mean Andrew🔥🔥 Car is looking good as well. Nice build lots of valuable information as normal!🙏 Cheers mate! Getting ready to rebuild my first rb26 my channel.
This thing is nasty! Such a clean street build already and I can only imagine how epic it's going to end up by the time you are done with it, You're basically building my dream 32
Getting fit mate well done. Make sure you have the EGTs protruding a maximum of 3mm. Also use a 5mm closed tip EGT otherwise the vibrations will break the tips off. Pretty common for us to destroy 25k proto turbos during mapping at a OEM.
Please please please put together a video, where you show us data from the dyno (turbo speed vs pressure ratio plotted on the compressor map, MAP vs exhaust back pressure). I (hope others as well) would love to see real life data. Your setup is perfect for learning, and I think, your audience is mature enough to appreciate some "nerdiness". Thank you for all the work and effort put in these videos
Can't say enough good things about Con. He tuned my R34 GTR to 700hp and did the same with the power delivery so boost wasnt coming on hard early that I was spinning tyres. He told me to go fun with it and if I got bored to bring it back so he could turn it up but it would lose some streetability. CRD Number 1 in my book 👍🏼👍🏼
This is pure gold. :) Broken dyno, record rain fall, fall and winter here, but somtime, I will log the airflow from the VE table in the Haltech. Importing this to a excel spreadsheet, converting it to lb/min on the X-axis and the "MAP" in BAR out of the turbo on the Y-axis, one should get a curve to draw on all compressormaps. Should be way more accurate than turbocharger speed. :)
Interesting last time I asked the question about 3.2 in a car that sees track work, Motive and everyone said no stay 2.6/2.8. Now saying 3.2 is fine for track work?
@@Arctice36 see the question mark, Tony? There is a changed position from certainly not, to why not. I was seeking clarification. So your response, 2 weeks late, is irrelevant.

Got myself a deleted duramax to tow my 86 mustang around and it’s drives like I’m not towing anything! Best of luck on ur journey! You got this girl! 💪🏽
The thing is that I think the RB26 block is better for circuit racing/time attack (due to being of shorter height and lower CoG-as well as having higher rpm potential which results in smoother power delivery at a given level of boost), whereas the RB30 block is better for drag racing (due to higher horsepower potential from larger displacement (longer stroke))…assuming both blocks are made of the same material (cast iron or billet).
Good work on the gtr good to see it back on the road. Any chance u could do a tear down on a rb25de neo. I've turboed mine and its making good power and runs fine but I would like to see the size of the rods and hear ur thoughts on turboing the Na 25neo

Nice, but this video left me more confused should I just replace my 1JZ block to 2JZ. 😂 Your videos about RB26 have previously confirmed that I will just want high reving short stroke engine with G35-900 that does make the rising powerband like "NA engine", not that instant kick what just causes wheelspin etc.. Comparison of intakes and other setups is going to be interresting. Keep up the good work Andrew!
not wrong you need a specific exhaust/turbo combo to get close to 2f2f rb sound, capacity doesnt matter that much for noise, its just no one runs a 3.2 on a street exhaust so people think the capacity changes it

791hp is awesome numbers id be stoked with that more then enough to play on the street and track

I wasn't sure if I was seeing things. But indeed. getting down to race weight only makes the car faster ;)
