I wish there were actual factions based on real countries with unique vehicles, also not a fan of the operators. I like the particle effects, I like how the weapons and attachments use their real names.
I haven't had fun like this since BF3 and BF4. For an Alpha, it's got a ton of depth and even more potential. Absolutely love the weapon customization and gunplay feels really solid. The first comment I made was movement speed does feel slower which I actually really like. Force's tactic, static gameplay
After playing it for a few hours I do think it is overall a solid game but no battlefield killer. It has some design flaws and I don’t think the game will be any different when it releases. In the end it brings some much needed competition. Great video man!
I’m also not really a big fan of the gun customization. It feels a bit to complex for a casual shooter, atleast some aspects of it. But it’s just my opinion.

why so negative? this game makes a lot of things much better then DICE vision with BF. its the closest thing to a BF like game. its on the Devs to make this game even better with good feedback + a good post-launch support. + its f2p even, no money is waste at all.
That's what Im worried of. Big games with their own issues are still great examples of experience. Just watch GTA, no game has even come close to what Rockstar offers since they have huge experience with open world games, or CoD, that game is bad because Activition wants to, XDefiant couldn't do a lot to change this. Battlefield has an unique feeling in terms of vehicle gameplay, which cannot be easily replicated. But EA/Dice have lost trust of their playerbase these last years.
Vehicles are extremely difficult to tweak because one slight change can make them cracked its what killed WW3 I think the wheeled vehicles need more maneuverability and more transport vehicles other than that damage wise and counter wise they are fine
But is it really better though? I am a Battlefield fan and I can't wait to try it out for myself, but from what I'm seeing I feel there is something missing. It does not look as cinematic, I feel there seems to be less team play involved. Less Only in Bf moments at first glance. I don't think the graphics look way better especially since 2042 is a three-year-old game. It does not look better than Battlefield 1 or Battlefield 5. Guns look beamy at long ranges which was a complaint for 2042. We have operators or specialists which was another complaint. Cheesy powers that every BF player seems to hate. Cheesy voice lines which is another complaint. There is less destruction than there is in 2042 which was another big complaint yet nobody seems to care now. Don't get me wrong, it looks really fun and I like the artistic design. It looks more war-torn than 2042 which I love. The gun customization looks sweet. But I feel everybody is giving this game flowers and saying oh it's so much better and giving flak to 2042, it looks like a 2042 rip-off. There are so many things that seem like copy and paste. I just wonder if the hype isn’t exaggerated because of the hate for 2042 which is also a tad over the top, Looks way better than ground war though. And a big point for me is that I am mainly a conquest player :( . Still very anxious to try it out.

I have not yet seen on Delta Force what makes me tick on BF.. yet! The all out warfare and combined arms of BF seems, to me at least, to be unmatched. But hey. If Delta Force can wake up Dice and shake the coconut tree iM ALL FOR IT.

It also inherits some things I think are annoying about BF games in general, like breakthrough mode where there's like 20 dudes in a corridor spamming grenades and smoke. But I was grinning like an idiot playing Delta Force last night, it definitely scratches the BF itch.
Personally it feels like Call of Duty Ground War with Battlefield 2042 vehichles and modes. It's a bit jankier than both, but I am having more fun with it than either of those gave me. It's a 2042 Killer, but Black Ops 6 and Battlefield 2025 have nothing to fear sadly.
Just a note: The fact that the gameplay is slower than BF or COD is not something that ´´needs to be improved´´ new FPS games are getting way to fast... sliding, flying all over the place and too many things happening really fast. I think that in this game the character movements speed is spot on and this slower movement (compared to other big titles) leaves more space for strategic thinking while playing. I see it as a really awesome feature...
I still think it can be a tad bit more slower paced… maybe similiar to insurgency sandstorm style but I think the devs is scared to go full Milsim because of the casual arcade noobs.
Dude you aren't wrong about this.. The chaos that happens in BF is just unmatched. Nothing like it, even if you getting your ass kicked, its part of the experience and doesn't get old.
You are totally right. Jets, helis, tanks cars and infantry chaos is unmatched. Also Frostbite has been refined soo much that there is a certain fluidity to things. Gameplay and certain business decisions just killed a whole chunk of BF though. DF is good so far, itll be interesting if it holds up after launch and when the next BF comes out (if they dont mess it up again)
I find the movement very squishy and if you are shot at it is very difficult to shoot back. Tanks drive like in CoD Groundwar but are very, very strong, in my opinion too strong.
Also the gun shake instead of the simple vertical recoil is a good trade and it is a feature that made COD gunplay so good... so Im glad it is here too
Every fps released in the last 10 years is invariably labelled a “battlefield killer” or “cod killer”. They never have any longevity. We’re just kidding ourself, lets be honest.

This game scratches the Bafflefield itch. Had a blast playing it last night. The guns have that punch BF has lost. The weapon variety and the customisation is crazy. I'm mainly a console player and tried using a controller via steam to emulate it, and it worked great, so I have no doubt the console version will feel as good. I used M&K mostly throughout and tried to use the controller towards the end to see if it worked and it surprisingly did. The Operator abilities are no where near as cheesy as BF2042, still wished they weren't there, but they weren't really an issue. The grittyness of the game felt more like BF3/4. What a crazy concept hey, giving gamers what they want.
One way they could improve this game and add more immersion without much dramatic change.... Cut all the specialist cinematics and add tons of character customisation. All the end of round walking, all the menu specialist stuff... Cut it all and just have them as a class that you choose. Would please a lot of people.
Wait until Delta Force is on console, it’s gonna blow up and overload the servers instantaneously. I suggest to the developers to: ‘Be Ready’ with hundreds of thousands of extra servers ready to deploy whenever Delta Force Hawk Ops comes to console.
totally agree on the operator part.... hate to see them and would have loved to have nameless, faceless soldiers that look faxction-specific instead of having a red or a green light as their only differentiator
To be honest. They are both fun. the hawk ll surpass the bf2042 in terms of player count. but the bf2042 feels actually better than this. Bf2042 is on sale most of the time. So over all. Both of them are just great.
I like the speed of movement, I would like the new BF to be closer to that than to 2042. Gunplay is generally ok, TTK too, although the weapon balance still needs some work. Although I like visual recoil in general, they could lower it a bit, because sometimes you can't really see anything, especially when using muzzle brakes. My biggest problem is with operators. I don't understand, I don't want, I don't like. Skins will be crazy and skills will be difficult to balance over time. Another clone wars. Apart from that, there are a few imperfections that will probably be corrected, as it's only alpha. DF looks very good for a free game, right now. In my opinion, EA/DICE have a challenge ahead of them to get money from people.
The only serious gripe I really have at the moment with the game is once again the idea of having "specailists" or "operators" rather than having the faceless soldiers from the older Battlefield titles. I just don't get why they put such emphasis on that. They should just turn the operators into skins for purchase and turn the gadgets into class specific options to pick: example: make Shepherds Sonic Suppression Drone a general gadget for the engineer class. And then make the classes faceless soldiers similar to BF3 and 4. It would just add to the immersion and it would also make it easier to identify enemies from allies in CQC. They already have the models for that in the game. You can see them in trailers and also previews ingame. The whole "operator"/"specialist" system just cheapens the game imo.
I played the Alpha test earlier today. The gameplay feels “weird.” I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s not been easy for me to get used to. Maybe it’s the visuals? Or the feedback response? The gameplay loop is fine, but there’s something that feels off about this game compared to other shooters.
Seems like I’m the only one that love bf42 fast paced crazy shit happens every game I’m either yelling or laughing.ill try delta but only till the new bf comes out. I’ve played every bf from 1942 to now, their all different yet similar and fun as hell
I’ve played around 15 hours of it. It’s ok. It’s not going to replace battlefield. But it will be a great option for people who can’t afford the battlefield experience. It is fun but I feel a lot of netcode issues.
@@joshuablanchette878 yeah, the destructions too are quite limited compared to 2042 at least for now if you noticed. As I played it, some buildings, barricades, trees etc. can be destroyed.
I don't think this game is perfect, but it is definitely looking better than 2042. Although what I do hope this game does is light a fire under DICE to actually listen and understand the community and to then execute good design decisions. I think Battlefield will stay dead if the next game is bad.
GhostGaming --If I reset my graphics settings in the game it says "ULTRA" is the recommended settings for my RTX 2060 Super, Your card is higher spec so I would be using the ULTRA setting, not the EXTREME settings mate !!!
This game treat the players as if they are blind. -The moment you aim down the sights everyone is marked with a huge red circle. -Snipers have scope glint that is sometimes bigger than the character itself. the glint is also physically located at the character position so there are awkward moments when you see only part of the glint while the character with the scope itself is hidden behind solid cover -all character wear bright LED lights instead of just having a different faction with different uniforms -so many gadgets that gives you xray vision or highlighted enemies -minimap with red dots... - xray kill cam I mean, ofc, they don't want a camper fest... but seriously? it is not that hard to spot an enemy. why do we need all of these immersion breaking features? not only it makes it impossible to play any other playstyle than just run n gun since being sneaky is not an option it just makes the game look so bad with all of these bright UI elements constantly taking you out of the experience
My biggest gripe with the game at the moment is the Specialists and their characteristics. They look somewhat tactical and on par with operators from CoD games (at launch, excluding the cosmetic bundles) but their voicelines are just bad and gameplay abilities are conflicting with the Battlefield-like game mode. Locking 3 gadgets to the specialist and having only 1 changeable slot is the bad aspect of 2042 and it's repeated here. Not having C4 or ways for other classes to combat vehicles is frustrating. Female characters like Hackclaw is obviously inspired by Dokkaebi from R6 Siege or Valorant characters, and the contrast in design is jarring to say the least. Hopefully future characters have more in-line designs. This game reminds me of old Korean MMO FPS games back in the day where the skins were really horny-bait, pay 2 win, and there were no sense of art direction whatsoever. Hopefully this game can hold somewhat of a consistency and integrity despite being under influence of Chinese game marketing. It's just a hunch but I also think either Havoc Warfare or the DMZ mode will get abandoned in favor of another eventually. Every game that has 2 existing majorly different modes/experiences always end up only having 1 good side and the other ceasing development or removed completely. It happens with CoD, Battlefield, R6 Siege, even Counter Strike.
I'm having more fun than in 2042 at any stage of its life cycle. From 2 pm to 2 am I had to drag myself to bed for work. Never liked the idea of extraction or battle royal, I'm playing it now. Vehicles are bit wonky in some aspect but the gun smith and combat rocks. Operators aren't heroes, despite everyone having their own gadgets and abilities, they feel more like classes and soldiers than in 2042. Don't worry about specialists, it's not an issue. Performance is great. Gameplay is great. But if polish, new modes and maps... One Battlefield killed. (maybe 😁)
Ya, after the early morning update, something changed. Fps is very bad, and it seems like the latency of the server is favoring players with very good latency.
Can someone explain the extraction mode? I tired it and was confused and the process!! Should I do all ops and leave the area or do a few them extract???
i think for now battlefield 2042 is better : here some reason: 1.Delta force gun have a lot of recoil that cause u feel suffer around 20m away (when there is a multiple enemy stand together,you cant see clearly who u shooting at as recoil and bullet spread) 2.when u facing forward and try to move backward, u feel like u not moving at all 3.hope they can add the weather system hopefully the dev can adjust too be more smooth gameplay
Vehicles are definitely overtuned atm. I watched people hop into a tank then dominate, so i tried it, and yeah its easy to dominate with them. Few people play engineer, and the tank has a self heal on a ridiculously short cooldown.

Strongly disagree. Despite its similarities, it still has a FAR better aesthetic than 2042. And BY MILES looks more polished, detailed, TONS of weapons and customization options, nice and satisfying audio and visuals, and hella fun. 2042 looks and feels like a mobile game, whilst this game is the actual (ready to go for) mobile game, and yet looks like a proper triple A title, whilst being FREE. Oh, and coming to last gen too.. What was it that Dice recently said? "last gen limited us" lol sure. So yeah, plenty to 'hate' on 2042. And this game is free, so despite the questionable operators' abilities, is easy to ignore, let alone on an actually fun and polished game.

Game is good just operators really.....not to mention operators have specific weapons which sucks that I cant use all the waepons and im forced to switch. I hate that, its my only complaint so far still need to play more.
I dont know about the heli movement being arcadie, sounds more realistic to me.. Arcadie to me is pinpoint accuracy with the cross hairs as in all other BF games. Just sayin 😊
No game had better vehicle gameplay than BF5... you guys who hate it can disagree with me... but then it was more realistic, gritty, and fun. You had limited ammo, so you had to come back to rearm. It was extremelly fun. Tanks felt like tanks, airplanes were powerful but not game changelly overpowered like the jets in BF3 were, or the attack heli on BF4.
i played it a bit last night, to me its a bf2042 clone, bf2042 to me is a good game, not the best battlefield but its currently a lot better than people think it is. If 2042 released the way it is now it would have been a success, bf2042's esthetics were also really lacking on a finer detail level, most of the maps seemed untouched and the interiors were unrealistic and uninspired, hawk ops seems like they spent a lot more time working on the small details that help make a game go from ok to good to great
So far its overall a better fps game. But its difficult to call it a "better battlefield game" when all it does is be a more stable and polished 2042 but with less destruction and worse vehicle mechanics.
NO it's called "ULTRA" the highest graphic setting. Not Ultimate. lol I play on a Kaby Lake I7700K and Giga RTX 2060 OC Super and consistently get 100+ FPS so I think you can do better than that !!!! My graphic setting is on ULTRA 01:20

Played the Alpha of Delta Force hawk ops, this is what BF2042 should have been. It’s all BF2042 failed to deliver. The gunplay is nearly as good as prime Battlefield. I loved it and im gonna spend 100s of hours until the next BF released, if i choose to buy it.
Why do people still get so hyped up early in a game? The Game lacks alot of stuff which BF has. Big maps, vehicles, conquest... these 3 things are super important in a BF game. In Delta Force, the maps are super bad. They are very generic and just don't have much character or variety. Vehicles have a very bad UI and it feels like you are controlling them with a sponge... just get into a heli and you see what I mean. No conquest mode... The Movement feels very bad and clunky. I would have loved the game would take stuff from older BF titles and combine them in one game and make a ultimate BF killer, thats also what I heared from other TH-camrs. But in fact, this game has almost nothing in common with battlefield and feels much more like COD Groundwar with some extra features.
UR4 is so clucking I was afraid of this moves just like squad and WW3 so upsetting i really hope Thay move to UR5 we just need more fucking maps for battlefield 2042 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fucking hell

One thing I don't like is you can't edit your load out in game and I feel like the recoil on some guns especially the lmg is way too high

THEY NEED JETS, CHOPPERS, VEHICLES! Explosions EVERYWHERE, snipers from 8 miles away hitting shots, air and tank warfare.

This game scratches the Bafflefield itch. Had a blast playing it last night. The guns have that punch BF has lost. The weapon variety and the customisation is crazy.
I'm mainly a console player and tried using a controller via steam to emulate it, and it worked great, so I have no doubt the console version will feel as good. I used M&K mostly throughout and tried to use the controller towards the end to see if it worked and it surprisingly did. The Operator abilities are no where near as cheesy as BF2042, still wished they weren't there, but they weren't really an issue. The grittyness of the game felt more like BF3/4. What a crazy concept hey, giving gamers what they want.

One way they could improve this game and add more immersion without much dramatic change.... Cut all the specialist cinematics and add tons of character customisation. All the end of round walking, all the menu specialist stuff... Cut it all and just have them as a class that you choose. Would please a lot of people.
The helicopter has a lock on missiles for armor. It's the number 2 for the pilot

Wait until Delta Force is on console, it’s gonna blow up and overload the servers instantaneously. I suggest to the developers to: ‘Be Ready’ with hundreds of thousands of extra servers ready to deploy whenever Delta Force Hawk Ops comes to console.
totally agree on the operator part.... hate to see them and would have loved to have nameless, faceless soldiers that look faxction-specific instead of having a red or a green light as their only differentiator

I like the speed of movement, I would like the new BF to be closer to that than to 2042. Gunplay is generally ok, TTK too, although the weapon balance still needs some work. Although I like visual recoil in general, they could lower it a bit, because sometimes you can't really see anything, especially when using muzzle brakes.
My biggest problem is with operators. I don't understand, I don't want, I don't like. Skins will be crazy and skills will be difficult to balance over time. Another clone wars.
Apart from that, there are a few imperfections that will probably be corrected, as it's only alpha. DF looks very good for a free game, right now. In my opinion, EA/DICE have a challenge ahead of them to get money from people.
The only serious gripe I really have at the moment with the game is once again the idea of having "specailists" or "operators" rather than having the faceless soldiers from the older Battlefield titles. I just don't get why they put such emphasis on that. They should just turn the operators into skins for purchase and turn the gadgets into class specific options to pick: example: make Shepherds Sonic Suppression Drone a general gadget for the engineer class. And then make the classes faceless soldiers similar to BF3 and 4. It would just add to the immersion and it would also make it easier to identify enemies from allies in CQC. They already have the models for that in the game. You can see them in trailers and also previews ingame. The whole "operator"/"specialist" system just cheapens the game imo.

I played the Alpha test earlier today. The gameplay feels “weird.” I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s not been easy for me to get used to. Maybe it’s the visuals? Or the feedback response? The gameplay loop is fine, but there’s something that feels off about this game compared to other shooters.

Seems like I’m the only one that love bf42 fast paced crazy shit happens every game I’m either yelling or laughing.ill try delta but only till the new bf comes out. I’ve played every bf from 1942 to now, their all different yet similar and fun as hell
It has similar UI and menus as battlefield 2042 but it gunfights are similar to ww3
I’ve played around 15 hours of it. It’s ok. It’s not going to replace battlefield. But it will be a great option for people who can’t afford the battlefield experience. It is fun but I feel a lot of netcode issues.

@@joshuablanchette878 yeah, the destructions too are quite limited compared to 2042 at least for now if you noticed. As I played it, some buildings, barricades, trees etc. can be destroyed.
I don't think this game is perfect, but it is definitely looking better than 2042.
Although what I do hope this game does is light a fire under DICE to actually listen and understand the community and to then execute good design decisions. I think Battlefield will stay dead if the next game is bad.

This game treat the players as if they are blind.
-The moment you aim down the sights everyone is marked with a huge red circle.
-Snipers have scope glint that is sometimes bigger than the character itself. the glint is also physically located at the character position so there are awkward moments when you see only part of the glint while the character with the scope itself is hidden behind solid cover
-all character wear bright LED lights instead of just having a different faction with different uniforms
-so many gadgets that gives you xray vision or highlighted enemies
-minimap with red dots...

not only it makes it impossible to play any other playstyle than just run n gun since being sneaky is not an option

My biggest gripe with the game at the moment is the Specialists and their characteristics. They look somewhat tactical and on par with operators from CoD games (at launch, excluding the cosmetic bundles) but their voicelines are just bad and gameplay abilities are conflicting with the Battlefield-like game mode. Locking 3 gadgets to the specialist and having only 1 changeable slot is the bad aspect of 2042 and it's repeated here. Not having C4 or ways for other classes to combat vehicles is frustrating. Female characters like Hackclaw is obviously inspired by Dokkaebi from R6 Siege or Valorant characters, and the contrast in design is jarring to say the least. Hopefully future characters have more in-line designs.
This game reminds me of old Korean MMO FPS games back in the day where the skins were really horny-bait, pay 2 win, and there were no sense of art direction whatsoever. Hopefully this game can hold somewhat of a consistency and integrity despite being under influence of Chinese game marketing.
It's just a hunch but I also think either Havoc Warfare or the DMZ mode will get abandoned in favor of another eventually. Every game that has 2 existing majorly different modes/experiences always end up only having 1 good side and the other ceasing development or removed completely. It happens with CoD, Battlefield, R6 Siege, even Counter Strike.

I'm having more fun than in 2042 at any stage of its life cycle. From 2 pm to 2 am I had to drag myself to bed for work. Never liked the idea of extraction or battle royal, I'm playing it now. Vehicles are bit wonky in some aspect but the gun smith and combat rocks. Operators aren't heroes, despite everyone having their own gadgets and abilities, they feel more like classes and soldiers than in 2042.
Don't worry about specialists, it's not an issue. Performance is great. Gameplay is great. But if polish, new modes and maps... One Battlefield killed. (maybe 😁)
Tanks are OP in reality. However, they don't have 3d person view. This is the most OP property in both DF and BF.

Ya, after the early morning update, something changed. Fps is very bad, and it seems like the latency of the server is favoring players with very good latency.

i think for now battlefield 2042 is better :
here some reason:
1.Delta force gun have a lot of recoil that cause u feel suffer around 20m away (when there is a multiple enemy stand together,you cant see clearly who u shooting at as recoil and bullet spread)
2.when u facing forward and try to move backward, u feel like u not moving at all
3.hope they can add the weather system
hopefully the dev can adjust too be more smooth gameplay

Vehicles are definitely overtuned atm. I watched people hop into a tank then dominate, so i tried it, and yeah its easy to dominate with them. Few people play engineer, and the tank has a self heal on a ridiculously short cooldown.

Strongly disagree. Despite its similarities, it still has a FAR better aesthetic than 2042. And BY MILES looks more polished, detailed, TONS of weapons and customization options, nice and satisfying audio and visuals, and hella fun. 2042 looks and feels like a mobile game, whilst this game is the actual (ready to go for) mobile game, and yet looks like a proper triple A title, whilst being FREE. Oh, and coming to last gen too.. What was it that Dice recently said? "last gen limited us" lol sure. So yeah, plenty to 'hate' on 2042. And this game is free, so despite the questionable operators' abilities, is easy to ignore, let alone on an actually fun and polished game.

Game is good just operators really.....not to mention operators have specific weapons which sucks that I cant use all the waepons and im forced to switch. I hate that, its my only complaint so far still need to play more.
I dont know about the heli movement being arcadie, sounds more realistic to me.. Arcadie to me is pinpoint accuracy with the cross hairs as in all other BF games. Just sayin 😊

No game had better vehicle gameplay than BF5... you guys who hate it can disagree with me... but then it was more realistic, gritty, and fun. You had limited ammo, so you had to come back to rearm. It was extremelly fun. Tanks felt like tanks, airplanes were powerful but not game changelly overpowered like the jets in BF3 were, or the attack heli on BF4.

i played it a bit last night, to me its a bf2042 clone, bf2042 to me is a good game, not the best battlefield but its currently a lot better than people think it is. If 2042 released the way it is now it would have been a success, bf2042's esthetics were also really lacking on a finer detail level, most of the maps seemed untouched and the interiors were unrealistic and uninspired, hawk ops seems like they spent a lot more time working on the small details that help make a game go from ok to good to great

So far its overall a better fps game. But its difficult to call it a "better battlefield game" when all it does is be a more stable and polished 2042 but with less destruction and worse vehicle mechanics.

NO it's called "ULTRA" the highest graphic setting. Not Ultimate. lol I play on a Kaby Lake I7700K and Giga RTX 2060 OC Super and consistently get 100+ FPS so I think you can do better than that !!!! My graphic setting is on ULTRA 01:20

That's cause there are bots that are disguised under actual player names so alot of those ttv names aren't actual players they are bots that are using names

So they just made a clone of Battlefield 2042, including all strengths, but also all weaknesses (specialists, visual recoil, balancing issues, unfair maps, specialists with wall hacks, laser beam weapons, pointless extraction mode, ...)? What is the point of that? I thought this was supposed to be a Battlefield clone but without all the issues.
Played the Alpha of Delta Force hawk ops, this is what BF2042 should have been. It’s all BF2042 failed to deliver. The gunplay is nearly as good as prime Battlefield. I loved it and im gonna spend 100s of hours until the next BF released, if i choose to buy it.

Why do people still get so hyped up early in a game? The Game lacks alot of stuff which BF has. Big maps, vehicles, conquest... these 3 things are super important in a BF game.
In Delta Force, the maps are super bad. They are very generic and just don't have much character or variety.
Vehicles have a very bad UI and it feels like you are controlling them with a sponge... just get into a heli and you see what I mean.
No conquest mode...
The Movement feels very bad and clunky.
I would have loved the game would take stuff from older BF titles and combine them in one game and make a ultimate BF killer, thats also what I heared from other TH-camrs. But in fact, this game has almost nothing in common with battlefield and feels much more like COD Groundwar with some extra features.
