We hope you enjoyed the sounds of the V8. The Supra isn't as easy to do this with. At lower speeds the Supra sounds like a Camry. The Charger sounds like a beast at pretty much any speed.
Just throwing this out there to try and be helpful, as it was mentioned, you will DEFINITELY want a burst panel or a pop-off valve. You could have one false start and permanently damage both the blower and even the valves on your motor without one. Another side note with your idle issues and concerns about not moving at idle, I recommend getting a higher stall converter for the transmission so you don't have to try and choke the motor to keep it under control. Tons of great companies out there can make a torque converter with the correct stall for your application if you tell them what your setup is(engine combo, transmission, rear gears and tire size etc). Blowers are good fun but can go south quick if you don't take the right precautions, wish you guys the best of luck with this build! If you really want to get down to the nitty gritty, you can contact people from TBS, RBS, Good Vibrations Motorsports, etc etc for tons of helpful blower info.

It was the air coming in that was making the idle tune a huge PITA. We will explain what Ismael discovered in a later video. It's now finally all smooth. Our burst panel should be here this week and installed next week. So already making some changes from when this video was wrapped up.
You built a blown motor without a burst panel. That thing goes lean and the blower is 60ft in the air and your motor is done. My hemi has one in my 70 charger. So get one before you hit the street.
@@JustDriven Starts about 11:30 and goes on for about a minute and a half. You never want to release the throttle fast on a chassis dyno. It is running the force through the whole suspension not direct. And on and off is worse
We are at the mercy of other shops sometimes. We do not have an in-house dyno. Our usual shop typically doesn't tune Holley stuff. In the tuner's defense, the power on this engine comes on instantly. Any feathering of pedal pressure is instant power. Parking this thing can be an event.

It must be difficult getting the timing right on this thing hard to say if it wants more timing or not
It was the air coming in that was making the idle tune a huge PITA. We will explain what Ismael discovered in a later video. It's now finally all smooth. Our burst panel should be here this week and installed next week. So already making some changes from when this video was wrapped up.
But how come the tires arn't smoking on the dyno like they do in the movie. I thought only turbo cars start dynos at 3500rpm to hide the lag?
There was a fair amount of dyno slipping happening. We still have some more work to do before we do a rematch on the dyno again.
Good stuffff 👍 NEW FOLLOW
Thank you so much for the support!
Are you going to finish the 1970 charger soon ?
It's so close to being done.
"So much torque the chassis twisted off the line" 🤔
*"on green, I'm going for it"*
haha. It really has chassis twisting torques.
You built a blown motor without a burst panel. That thing goes lean and the blower is 60ft in the air and your motor is done. My hemi has one in my 70 charger. So get one before you hit the street.
In process 👍🏻
Thats one sexy machine
It really is.
Doing that stupid stuff on a chassis dyno is a good way to tear up a car, or maybe multiple cars
Stupid stuff?
@@JustDriven Starts about 11:30 and goes on for about a minute and a half. You never want to release the throttle fast on a chassis dyno. It is running the force through the whole suspension not direct. And on and off is worse
We are at the mercy of other shops sometimes. We do not have an in-house dyno. Our usual shop typically doesn't tune Holley stuff. In the tuner's defense, the power on this engine comes on instantly. Any feathering of pedal pressure is instant power. Parking this thing can be an event.
