- Daryl is excited to share with you just how close to complete these two bad boys are! The Charger gets a little extra braking help. The Supra paint and decals are repaired and looking oh-so-sweet. What's next?
#fastandfurious #toyota #supra #paulwalker #dodge #charger
I think it would be cool to see it at a drag strip and actually get it into the 9's, and get it to do an actual wheelie, even if it's just pulling both the tires up a few inches. Can't wait to see you really get on it and do some pulls on the street! This car is one of my favorites of all time.
I don't think such a front heavy car can manage to byte the asphalt enough to do an actual wheelie, but I hope they at least try.
I know I can do them in my car, but in a very different way, I have an Abarth 500 with a 305mm Brembo front brake kit, yeah, the rear wheels do nothing in a emergency braking situation with dry floor.
We are going to try show off the power of both of these beasts.
@@YOEL_44 Oh they can, they absolutely can... if set up correctly to do so. Drag racing is all about weight transfer to the rear wheels, and is highly dependent on the suspension setup. You'll see the real serious dedicated drag cars will have "wheelie bars", basically training wheels that catch the car and stop it from scraping the bumper on the ground.
That is so beautiful to see. I watched that original movie 7 times at the theater as a broke 18 year old. Hell, even paid in nickles and dimes to see it that last time. That movie got me into cars and I still have it in the regular rotation 23 years later. Thanks for sharing these awesome builds.
Thank you for sharing your story with us. And we are glad to help feed you some Fast and Furious Content 23 years later.
It left such an impression on me when I saw in the theater at 9 years old. I understand exactly what your saying. I only saw it once though in theaters. I still get goosebumps every time Dom goes to take off in the charger after Tran.
Nice presentation, Daryl. Your entire team really “put in the wrench time” on those cars.
Don’t forget about the overnight parts from Japan.
Daryl said, "thank you!" Just happy people are loving on these builds.
My favorite tribute builds on earth!!
Ours too!
if you race Dom's charger and Brian's supra the charger gon win easy
This has been a conversation between myself and my friends for the last 23 years, ever since the movie came out. I really do hope they put them both head to head in a 1/4 mile run and finally put this argument to bed once and for all.
@@RG1001 true i would like to see that as a 24 year old
Yeah but the engines are nothing like the movie cars from back then. The blower is real on this car and the supra is faster than the original car Craig said.
@@ssfamous2.0 You are right, however I argue that what we have here is if the vehicles had been ripped from the movie universe and plopped into our world ala Last Action Hero Style. For all intent and purpose that is Dom's Charger, and that is Brian's Supra.
@RG1001 Oh Definitely. The supra from the movie made 320 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque which was pretty decent back in the late 90s early 00s.
I've absolutely loved watching this F&F series on these two cars. It really sparked up a lot of awesome nostalgia for me as I installed all of the graphics on Craig's original car and all of the stunt cars for the movie along with my friends from Modern Image. I was Modern Image's first employee ever and got to be on set for a lot of the filming. I was the guy that helped preserve the graphic that Jordana Brewster "installed" in the movie and had to keep it soaped up between takes. You guys killed it on these two cars, they look fantastic! Keep up all the great work! 🤙🏼
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your story. We love hearing about those days and any behind the scenes.
Excellent work! Congratulations to everyone who worked on those cars and made them what they are today.
Thank you so much.
Wow with just the sound clips of the Charger it sound like such a beast. Love it.
It kind of is.
Looks like both cars have been loaned for the filming of F&F 11.
That's awesome 👌
Not necessarily.
How did I miss this last month? Great stuff on the update!
Tap that notification icon and you won't (as all TH-camrs will say). Just playin. Glad you caught up with us eventually!
As a MK4 Supra owner you guys knocked these cars out of the park. The absolute best remakes I've seen. I watched the entire supra build. Great job, fellas.
Wow! Thank you so much for your commitment and your support!
Man I'm REALLY hope that I'll see that Supra someday at a car show like up at Charlotte Motor Speedway in person
We hope so too!
I would go I’m only a few hours away
I always love to watch you guys working on cars, such a relax vibe! Keep on going im really looking forward to the R34 build :-)
Thank you so much! We have an R34 video coming soon.
Imagine going to you’re garage every morning and seeing that Supra there
It's pretty awesome!
I’d love to see the cars cruise the filming locations !
We are trying to find some other ideas.
These builds are pure artwork. Amazing work!
Thank you very much!
It’s just something about a Classic Charger 😍😍🔥 one of my dream cars. Both are a beaut
Thank you so much!
Amazing video! The explanation and attention to detail on both cars is far superior to any other replicas I have seen over the years on TH-cam. Please keep uploading more project updates. As a fun fact, I looked up the location of your workshop on Google maps and in the street view you can see the supra parked outside haha
haha.... yup.
Its unbelievable that these ionic fast and furious cars very important to their roles in the movie
It's unbelievable? Not sure we understand your comment.
What I am trying to say these fast and furious car are amazing and replica are so inspiring 🎉
I would've bought that blue steering wheel from you in a heartbeat, but i guess the hunt continues to try and find one for myself haha
Love the builds on this channel nonetheless, the quality and craftsmanship is outstanding
It’s the same steering wheel recovered black and when you do get a sparco wheel you will have to get it recovered blue and will have to find a set of red buttons because they come yellow from sparco
That's correct. We sourced new buttons and had the entire wheel rewrapped in blue.... Then back to black.
A fantastic build, brings back memories from when I used to watch it 2 or 3 imes a day with my grandfather when I was smaller. A build that I have not seen as often and very few look the part is the Persuit Special from the Mad Max series
OOooooo... That would be a fun build!
I want to own one of those 70 Dodge charger I might have that as my second project car build a fast and furious 4 charger
All the Chargers!
Man I'll say it again ya'll absolutely killed these 2 builds. I honestly hate to see them finished because I enjoyed watching the videos of each car being built. In my opinion they look better than the movie car with the correct wheel offset and the charger actually having a real blower. Even though the style of supra is outdated and not how most car builds look nowadays, these cars still look beyond amazing and are definitely head turners that will never go out of style. The first 3 movies were all about cars and I really don't care to watch or like any of the Fast and the Furious films after that. I really think Universal forgot why most of us liked the film in the first place. It's not about cars and street racing anymore its a Action movie filled with over the top unrealistic stunts. I really hope you guys will be able to do a full build on the eclipse. Honestly, that's the last car that really matters. I could care less for any of the other films or vehicles. You're crew really did an amazing job and you guys should all be proud of these cars include the Ford Lightning.
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Hi. When i see Paul Walker touching the NOS button on the Race against the charger, the steering wheel looks like is leather, not alcantara... Small repair. Love the Supra. Cheers from Portugal. Love your Chanel.
It's leather for sure. We prefer the feel of the Alcantara wheel and that's the only reason we chose it.
I honestly can’t wait for the r34 eclipse and s200 build!!!
We can't either!
Your builds are awesome. Keep it up, man epic cars and specially the jdm cars
Thank you so much!
Craig should pull all the strings he has and get Dom to visit the shop. hey it's nice you guys aren't so big you reply to a lot of comments, but it really deserves to be bigger!!
Thank you! We would love to be a ton bigger! And we would still answer all the comments!
Great cars, great builds!
Thanks!
Another epic video guys!! Glad to see the Supra all fixed 🙌🏼 Charger coming together nicely although I'm sure you noticed a squeak coming from a belt or something in some of the shots?? Re an idea for the FandF cars - some sort of world tour with as many of the original cast as possible and if you can guys PLEASE PLEASE come to Bournemouth UK 🇬🇧 🙏🏼 as I'd love ❤️ to be able to meet y'all and of course see the cars in the flesh 😊 Keep up the great content as always. Thank you. Al
We would love a tour of these cars but that's just so much money and we would have to be around them all the time and can't spare the man hours.
Just amazing..would love a car like that
Which one!?
@@JustDriven that is very difficult to say..would be happy with either..but i will keep dreaming tho
Yah, not an easy decision. We couldn't decide either so we just built both cars!
@@JustDriven wonderful work you guys can be proud
They are so cool
Im so excited for the eclipse build
I genuinely love how in detail you go with the builds too
The car scene in the uk is dead now compared to what it once was no one does proper builds like this here
The charger needs a good correction and ceramic coat though can see some swirlies in the sun 😬 black car problems 🤣🤣
Need to get them down the PCH and go get some shrimp from Neptunes 😎😎
Thank you for your kind words. The Charger paint has been neglected while it's been getting work done the past couple months.
Cant wait for that 2f2f Skyline
We should have an update on that build coming soon!
Absolutely awesome. Do yall give shop tours to see them in person?
Typically we don't have shop tours but we could possibly arrange something. Contact us on IG. Maybe we work something out.
When I saw the movie in the theater I was already deep in the car culture and had 1991 240 SX SE hatch and an uncle who had a 1991 Supra Turbo and a 1994 Supra Turbo. The car in the movie was a lot to me. I couldn’t imagine driving that car in public even though it was an interesting look in the early 2000s. I was so disappointed when people started buying up cheap body kits and paint schemes for any import thinking it made it look cool.
What's crazy is the import scene hasn't changed much in that way. There is still a majority buying cheap shit and passing it off as cool.
Respect to the charger build. Although i would ditch that engine and put in a 2500hp BAE hemi methanol monster 😂
Why do that?
@@JustDriven because the power delivery is much better
But driving a 2500hp methanol car on the streets would be unsafe at best.
the movie car had a GEN1 Hemi with the distributer in the rear!
Yup. Just like Daryl pointed out in this very video. Thanks for reiterating what he said.
@@JustDriven just so cool seeing these two cars alive and on the road! 2 dream builds!
I really dont get how Driven is still at just 73k. This is a million sub channel easily it's very odd
We need people to share share share these videos.
this is amazing, I can't believe it, you guys ROCK! honestly, I would so k1!l to see all the hero cars from the FF Saga at one place but I believe whatever you guys do or wanna do, it's gonna be amazing
keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what you guys have lined up next
Wow, thank you!
If you need somebody to give that SSP a shake down, I'm your guy lol.
But in 90's (high school) I had an 85 notch that I loved so much, hard to find a good notch in Canada. Cheers.
That SSP Mustang is on our channel videos a little while back. Daryl is restoring that and it's seen a full rotisserie build up to now.
Will you do a spec sheet on the engine soon? I’ve been looking forward to it since the car first started!
We want to do full breakdowns on both builds in the future. That takes a lot of work so it may be a minute.
Please make a Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak.
That would be a fun build. That wing alone would be worth the efforts.
YES!!!
🤘🏼
I just want to see montages of these cars driving around and hear car noises
So do we!
I’d like to see Larry chan photograph the supra and charger on long beach
That would be great.
if you're able to ask if you can get a permit to race the supra and charger on the actual road they raced on in the movie, Idk what the process is for getting a road shut down but if that's a possibility than that would be so rad!
We suspect they would want assurances the roads and infrastructures would not be damaged. We are sure there is a lot of red tape.
Would also love to see an eclipse
We have an Eclipse build on our channel already.
Gotta do DK's Z.....and the navy dads stang Tokyo! ya feel me
We feel ya.
Will you ever take them
Both to the drag strip to make some badass runs?
We really want to, but we need the time and we need to have them long enough. They keep going from event to event.
those graphics are sick
From the original shop who made the graphics on the original movie car.
@@JustDrivenI'm happy to hear they are still in business
LOOOOOOOVE IT! I WANNA MARRY THEM BOTH! The cars, not the dudes, lol
haha! The state of California currently does not recognize the marriage of man and machine at this time.
We need Vin Diesel to drive that thing. It would be awesome if he could play out the scene with the truck.
We would prefer he didn't play out the truck scene thank you. 🤣
@@JustDriven 😄 Okay, meant the truck scene minus the truck crash. Dude, just the dialogue on its own would be awesome.
We would love that! Yah, no truck crashes please. haha...
Bravo excellent good video content nicely well done . I really enjoyed watching this video
Thank you!
I'm glad to see you adding a the muffler bypass system. It's truly shocking to see the disregard that so many have in the current car culture have for their own hearing. You see them crowding around cars at events, to get close-up videos of flames from exhaust while gunshot exhaust reports assault their ear drums. The silly attraction to "flame tunes" seems only exceeded by the love for the most obnoxious and loud exhaust sounds. What's the fun in driving cars that leave your ears ringing after a half hour drive - then joining the Hearing Aid Brigade by age 40?
We could always do better with protecting our ears. We aren't perfect when it comes to this. But we also don't want to assault anyone else's ears!
PCH time with the Supra!
But what about the Charger? We just keep it at home in the detached garage?
I take the charger
It is so much fun! We don't blame you.
Was you able to safeguard the Blower by fitting that blow off valve to it?
Yes, we did!
If they're built to be as close to what the cars in film would have been then you really need to put them on a strip and see which would have won in the real world.
Technically in the movie we don't really know which one was faster. They looked neck and neck until the Charger flipped. It would be really cool to see which one is faster though!
@@JustDriven I actually rewatched the first film the other day, and I think Brian won that one. Dom says its a quarter mile to the rail crossing. When they fly across the crossing the Supra looks like its a few inches ahead. It's not much, but winning is winning 😄
haha... you're not wrong.
What size rims were the daisy’s?
you are living my dream 🤩
You've got some pretty sweet dreams.
Can you share the build cost for each vehicle?
We've been talking about doing a video about this. Maybe we will...
Get Paul dalton from miracle detail to fly in and detail them.
The Charger needs a good cleaning.
Honestly, I think it looked better the blue steering wheel with all the other blue upholstery details, in fact, when I do replicas of this car in videogames, I always try to match that detail.
Just like the painted engine bay, it might not be perfectly film accurate, but in this case people has seen it like that during the promo of the movie for example, so it's still kinda connected to it.
We were just aiming to get it a little closer to the film and less like Craig's car.
Hi, I've been following you almost since the beginning of Dodge and I wanted to tell you that I love you very much. I have a question, approximately how much does all the equipment in the dodge cost? With the blower and all the details? THANKS
Thank you so much for your support. We haven't done a total of everything up to this point but when we do we will likely do a video sharing all the cost totals for the builds.
Do you think an 1989 batmobile whould be a good idee to make a replica
That would be a fun car to build. But not exactly in our wheel house.
Doesn't anyone make an electric brake booster? Other than that you could add a vacuum pump. If there is no room for a vacuum booster a Hydroboost unit could be used and turn it with an electric motor with a VFD taking a reading from the speed sensor. The hydroboost works well and is very compact. I have one in my restomod 82 Corvette with a 427. I needed a hydroboost because the engine vacuum is very low with a high duration cam.
We currently have manual brakes with the appropriate master cylinder and don't see a need for a brake booster at this time. There is still little to no room for any type of booster based on where the engine is mounted since we had to shift the drivetrain over 1.5 inches to make it more movie accurate with the engine coming out of the hood.
@JustDriven that does make it an issue for fitment shifting the engine to dead center. I know my hydroboost takes up no more room widthwise than the factory master cylinder with the booster mounted upside-down so the accumulator is facing the fender. That's how Hydratech designed it.
Eclipse is next then the Evo, best for last the 2fast gtr and then the blue gtr in 4th movie ❤❤❤ then Dom's rx7 🎉🎉🎉
We are already building the Eclipse and the 2F2F GT-R. We did a video a little while back about how Daryl owned the blue GT-R in the 4th movie. That was his we built years ago so we don't want to build it again.
Subscribed 👍🏻. Would you ever consider building Brians eclipse to the portrayed specs of the movie e.g. an all wheel drive GSX with a turbocharged 4g63T rather than a front wheel drive GS with a naturally aspirated 420A?
We love the Eclipse and building a fun GSX would be more our speed. So you never know!
Awesome, Wow thanks for the reply 😁. Love the channel and cannot wait to see what you guys build next 👍🏻
Thank you so much for the support!
What about the eclipse?
What about it?
How much boost is both cars making
The Charger is running 8lbs and the Supra is running 26lbs
Let Me drive the the Charger
Who do you have for insurance?
@@JustDriven Hagarty I build and work on cars and trucks too and own two classic vehicles
The charger has the wrong engine in it. The original charger had a engine based off of the 392 with the distributor in the back.
Ok, thanks for your input, but we are well aware and cover this topic in our videos. The original Charger only had that engine sitting in the car not connected and for that one garage scene only. All other chargers used in the movie had fake blowers and a variety of different engines. Our car is meant to closely replicate what was seen in the movie, but made to be better and fully functional.
@@JustDriven you built a car that will never truly be driven or raced. You built a car based off of the one scene and couldn't even make it correct. Not saying you didn't make a cool car but it is not movie correct. You could have built a very reliable engine based on the 392 Hemi like the original engine was.
@@KingKarnage1994 well I guess we can’t please everyone. We wanted a newer drivetrain so we could use modern fuels and technology. Don’t get me wrong we have some regrets in some of the direction we went, but that’s the way it goes sometimes. We hope you at least enjoyed some of the build. 👍🏻
@@JustDriven You built one hell of a car. My point was you spend that amount of money to make a screen-accurate car and in my opinion, it is not a screen-accurate car and should not be labeled as such. You could have easily built a 392-based Hemi that can run on any fuel you wanted. No hate whatsoever, I just thought it was sad to see so much hard work go into building something just to mess up such an easy detail to get right.
@@KingKarnage1994 fair enough, like I mentioned there are some regrets and if we had it to do over we’d go a different route. Thanks for the input. 🙏🏻
But the decals isn’t the same as the movie one? It’s wrong at the back
It's literally printed from the same file from the same company who produced the movie car decals.
Take a look side-by-side of the movie car and this one then you can see it wrong at the back
James King from Australia has the right one
We talked to Modern Image about the difference in the back and they agree with us it's different. But we don't feel it's a priority at this time. We love how it looks just as it is. Maybe some day we will revisit the difference in graphics.
Can we see the supra trunk
In our Supra build videos you can see more of the trunk.
You mentioned you might not connect the amps? Are you talking about some period correct amps that would be difficult to source or any amps at all? It'd be a shame for you to have sourced all the rest of the 00's tech and not have it function! Amps should be a go ;)
10:38 Someone with an oscillating machine needs to be let loose on the paint. :D
Connecting the audio would not make much sense to this particular build. We NEVER turn the radio on in this car. The engine is all the music we need. So we would have a lot more money invested in the audio build but never use it.
As for the paint... yah, it had been sitting in the shop collecting dust for a while now. It's about time for a deep clean.
@@JustDriven Just so I'm not mistaken, I thought the amps were for the Supra. I understand only needing the engine as a soundtrack in the Charger.
As for the rear hatch, it's got holograms, not scratches. It's a result of using a rotary wheel to finish it out. Oscillating machine will solve that.
The amps are for the Supra. We have everything we need for the amps and stereo. We just don't know if it's necessarily something we feel needs to be completed to show off the details. We never turn the radio on. We just enjoy the car as is.
@@JustDriven I see where you're coming from.
Even though it won't be used that much, at least I would feel a great sense of accomplishment to be able to say everything works and everything is as it should be. To finish off, I'd just like to say thanks for doing this project and thank you for showing it to us!
Absolut insene Charger woooww :)
It's been a blast to build.
send the cars too space🤣🤣🤣
Heck yah! We hadn't even thought about it till you mentioned it. But we can't stop thinking about it now.
@@JustDriven by the way whats the model of that hug bug catcher thats sits on the dodge supercharger. cant seem to find it on the internet
It's a "Buzzard Catcher" and we sourced ours from Enderle.
I think charger would be better manual transmission
We would love to drive it as a manual. We just spent so much money to get it where it's at now. Hate to backtrack.
hi just driven remember me now can you take toyota supra MK4 to London everyone will like it please
The Supra has some commitments here in the United States first.
I’d ask you what your best time in the Charger is, but then you’d just say:
Time is a made up construct? We don't like to think about it. Scares the shit out of us.
Drag race
We want to drag race them. That'll be so much fun.

Okay I’m going to be the first to say this. These aren’t just replicas. I like to call them the true builds. Cars that look in my opinion better than the originals. I mean an actual hemi V8 with a working BDS blower? Come on. These are the cars that were built how they should’ve been built.
Thank you so much for you kind words and your support. We try to one up the originals a bit. We want to make the fans proud while staying true to what we saw on screen (then put our own little flare on em).
AMAZING WORK! The dream is just right there!
What about the 2F2F SKYLINE?
If you keep an eye on our channel you'll notice we have a 2F2F Skyline and the green Eclipse already underway!
Great shit guys, love watching the stuff you guys make! When are you planning to watch the Just Driven storefront?
P.S: I'll be honest, changing that blue steering wheel was the wrong decision, yes the black is more accurate to the movie but damn the blue just matched with everything! Looks great either way honestly
We liked the blue also, but when we changed direction from Craig's car to the movie car it had to go. And the Just Driven store is open for business. justdriven dot com.
The only real time the two cars were really together was during the race at San Pedro. It's a no-brainer. Granted, I don't search the internet for that stuff much, but I've never seen anyone recreate it with the actual cars.
Also, I wish I had the same resources to build cars all day. Holy crap, that's the life. I'd rather be fixing cars than fixing people. 🤣
Fixing people is far more difficult.
did you find a black F355 and a woody Plymouth Voyager to recreate the race yet? you already have the bald guy to drive the Ferrari.
We have a couple bald guys to drive!
If you need parts for the eclipse, I have a car and parts.....if not I selling it to a junk yard
We will know more as we dig more into the build.
Who cares about pissing off old people who don’t like it loud leave it be
We have plans to drive this thing on the streets. If it's annoying people during testing, it's going to get us law enforcement type attention.
Mk4 Supra will always make views wow 🤩 5 million views nice 👍
It's always great to see how much love these builds get.
If only Paul was still here, I think he would have loved them. 😞
We built these with him in our hearts. So we hope he would love them too.
Cool builds , I am a Moparian and Muscle car and Hot Rod nut so Charger my favourite, Supra is cool though.
Take them down the strip.
Also K.I.T.T I seen in video 😍😍, what happening with that?? And what is red car in corner on shelf with camber?
KITT is still on hold. We just received much of the electronics for the build landed here in the states. We plan to get started on this build soon.
The red car in the corner is a Lexus IS300 Sportcross with a 1J engine and a very nice build from top to bottom. Alex has been using it for drifting for a years now.
Charger hands down Old school Mopar Muscle
The Charger hands down what?
I would really love to see you guys do a Race Wars type of thing
That would be fun!
