In the current market this is so true. Current OLED is not good enough for reading text. And the best text clarity tends to come from a monitor too tough for most cards to run modern AAA games well.
This video is so misleading. It is clearly skewed towards gaming. There is not even a discussion about OLED burn-in, nor anything about connectivity such as USB-C hubs to easily connect two computers to one set of keyboard and mouse.
The Alienware is terrible for reading text, I mean awful. How is this even considered for productivity. Don’t trust this video. I purchase one and had to return it because it took a small bump and would never display after. Not to mention when it was working text is unreadable. Instant return. Just so you know.
I think you monitor was a lemon :p Please see some videos on youtube for this model and the text is more clear than a LCD monitor. Sorry but is the truth.
I'm a bit confused between the neo, the classic, the one with smart functions, the one with the remote control... I'm trying to order one but I have no idea which one to get...
@@t1wk Hi, I bought this monitor! In its version with remote control and otpions smart TV and in Oled (LS49CG954SUXEN) or G95SC for europe. the main difference with the other OLED monitor (LS49CG934SUXEN) G93SC (Almost the same. My verison contains 95, the other 93) the 95 will have HDR10+ (the 93 simply has HDR10) (Colors are exceptional) , The 95 has a much more efficient adaptive sync for gaming (In the monitor menu, as well as VRR in addition to the classic Nvidia V-sync) and... Yes, a remote control and smart TV options, so... Speakers .. It's real, I'm getting very good performance where I shouldn't with such a resolution, and it's due to adaptive sync and VRR (they call it that, but let's simplify it by saying game mode). I took the 95 because there's a price difference of just €100 compared with the 93, and it's well worth it for what it comes with! Good feedback overall! Namely that it prefers HDMI to DisplayPort when everything is activated (240hz + HDR 10 +, VRR, Adaptive sync via the screen and V-Sync and HDR via Windows). As for the other denominations... ( LS49CG954EUXEN / LS49CG934EUXEN This is the Qled version with a VA panel (cheaper but not as beautiful in color, I don't know if it has a remote control and HDR 10 + adaptive sync and VRR on the other hand). But I highly recommend the LS49CG954SUXEN, it's around 1300€.
This is a great and informative video. Some feedback: Please stop yelling at me.

Why no Samsung G8 OLED?
These monitors could be better for productivity. It's best to have a 5K IPS monitor for text and a separate 4K OLED monitor for gaming.

OLED doesn't burn in like it used to. People think it's as bad as plasma tvs...
Great review, just what i needed :)

@@bobparker2344 Bullshit. No OLED has text as good as any decent LCD.
Or you needed to enable different text options in Windows...
In my opinion the g9 oled is the best for gaming
