The 1440p screen almost had me spending some money on this. I love the design and look of it. However, Ayaneo's poor customer service, lack of continued support for their products, and the $600+ price tag for the top model have made me change my mind. I would like to have some different options for handhelds with OLED displays, though.
Kind of misleading to say it's the last Aya Neo device you'll ever buy when the only real reason for that is the customs charges. This can happen with any Chinese handheld.
I wish that was the ONLY reason, but as I mention in the video, the reason is the already outrageous pricing. But if money isn't a factor, Ayaneo makes good products; it's just that others make similar products for lower prices.
I watch a lot of reviews and you are very good at them without this specific review I would not feel as confident in my decision to purchase. Its inconvenient to pay costs . It would be amazing to see ayaneo at least send units to your country and just pay a few fees. I'm just imagining things because your reviews are really good and I wish you would review very ayaneo product because in TH-cam land ayaneo does not have many good reviews from the different channels and very poor English translation etc .
You can't blame Aya Neo for local customs and handling charges. Many people have been caught out by this since first GPD Win machine nearly a decade ago. I was lucky they shipped with FedEx instead of DHL and I was only charged 25 euro. DHL would have done me for at least another 75
@@Techcravers then don t buy it. Making a review and say it is the last ayaneo you will buy because of the PRICE. It make no sens. Is the product good??? What is the quality of it? What is it s performance? And price are the only info we need. No need to know you have custom to pay wich is normal for every product oversea.
@@Techcravers mostly the screen. I really wish the mini would have up the resolution. But also the size as well I just really prefer thinner and smaller overall. The Odin 2 is still a beast though
@@Techcravers it comes down to the slimness and beautiful screen . 1440 p just scales so nicely and with the ergonomic grip feels good in the hand. For power I step up to windows anyways so the advantage there doesn't work for me as much
I love Android handhelds, I might have too many lol. That being said, I was very tempted to get this for the 1440p screen but decided not to. First, I don't like Ayaneo as a company. Support track record isn't as great as Ayn or Retroid for example. The other thing, about them is their products are so overprice for what it is. I decided against it and got a Odin 2 mini and a RG Cube instead. Both have additional functionality I'm looking for that my other Android device don't have, super bright screen and 1:1 screen respectively.
Too pricey for what it does, it doesn't even have a headphone jack, wtf!? I wouldn't want to drop it compared to the Odin 2. Great review but not for me.

Thank you for your kind words!
I have a question, can i play warzone mobile in this console, what is the fps number in the display?

I agree I even say it in the video! It’s still too expensive even without the customs though :)

This is by a long shot the best looking Android console ever. It's just at another level. That bezel-less screen is stunning.
Checkout the Ayaneo Pocket EVO that they'll be releasing.
on you old video about portal on odin can you tell me what to do source error can't find image materials/console/startup_loading.vtf portal
By the time this review video dropped... AYA-Neo Already presenting...
AYA Neo Pocket Evo...
7" inch Oled screen Android Handheld...
🙃🤣🧐🤯
Yeah, I’m not into that though. Steam Deck OLED is superior in that regard :)
Excellent review. Would you be able to compare switch and ps2 emulation between this device and odin 2? Thanks
Thanks! Yeah definitely planning to do that!
it's my favorite handheld currently. i like it much better than the Odin 2
Glad to hear! What so you like over the Odin 2?

Why didn't you mention the "Google play protect not certified" issue that you reported to ayaneo in the indiegogo comments section? Did they fix it?
Yup, they addressed/fixed it before my video was uploaded.

can you play warzone mobile? I can't
Me neither unfortunately. I hope they’ll address it in an update soon. I had the same problem on my Odin 2 a while back but they fixed it.
What's the point of configuring at 4k an emulator on a 1440p screen and complain that emulation might suffer from this!?
The point is to show just how powerful this chip is. For everyday use I’d max it out on 2K.

Beautiful device, all the same.
No doubt it looks amazing and powerful but it's expensive.
This thing is waaaaaay too expensive. Plus they just announced an oled 7in new model coming ..god help us when they announce THAT price lolol 🤪
No dpad input? Count me output
Hopefully your video helps pay for it. 😅
Haha, I wish it were that simple :)
Without proper cooling, this device will start throttle down after prolonged gameplay..
Tbh the cooling seems quite effective. Not as good as the Odin 2, but I’ve seen worse.
👍🏾👍🏾
If Sony made another handheld, they would likely shoot themselves in the foot…again.
For that price this thing is DOA
Yeah it’s expensive unfortunately.
This will be the last video of yours I ever watch. Click bait title only to give it a glowing review.
Sorry you feel that way.
