You really should purchase a candy thermometer. Wilton has a nice one for under $20. Great way to make sure your product will not be grainy and overdone.

Former pastry chef/bakery manager here - Betty let the fudge "set' too much before she added it to the form. The concept of this looks DELICIOUS! If she's aiming for a creamy consistency, after adding the final ingredients, she should have put it back on the hot eye until everything was homogeneous and incorporated - it would have made stirring much easier. I would've lined the form with parchment, let it cool completely, then turned it out and cut it. Don't EVER cut into a pan - it ruins the pan AND the tip/edge of the knife. I'm gonna try makin' this! THANKS for all your videos - reminds me of growing up!

The flavor combinations is right up my alley! I love butterscotch and pb! However, the fudge looks a little dry/crumbly to me. Any suggestions to make it softer or creamier? I don't make a lot of fudge so I am not sure.
@@beaglemama7928 .....fudge shouldnt snap or look graint/dry .....this looks almost (but not quite) like scottish tablet which i make 3 times a week to sell in the shop (which is delicious)

Use a candy thermometer. They are cheap but essential for a good product.
