We called them Peanut Butter Delights. In middle school they served them at lunch once in awhile. I loved them so much the cafeteria workers gave me extra ones. My mom went to them and got the recipe so she made them at home for me. Great memories!
It is best to make these when it is not raining. Humidity interferes with the hardening process, they tend to stay gooey if it is raining. We made these at Christmas. I haven't made them in a long time. I want to make them now. Thanks Sara!

Heyy Sara. I love a one pot recipe. Especially a dessert. Who wants to deal with extra dishes, pots, etc? I have all of these ingredients to make these today.
I make these with chocolate whey protein powder, oats, pb, extra virgin olive oil, and a few teaspoons of milk. They stay gooey, have to spoon to eat, but they are so close to the real things, sugar free and actually allows to stay on bodybuilding diet! We love you, Sara!
You’re right. My aunt made them on a humid day in 1981. They looked like alien cookies as my aunt called them. They had arm and legs. Not a nice “ cookie” shape. It was funny. They tasted delicious but i got the biggest kick out of them at age 5 😂😂
@@mrs.i.one12 Wow that you remember something from when you were 5. The earliest I remember was starting around age 12. Funny memory about your aunt's cookies.
Love your dress and your nails and l remember these no bake cookies when l was younger my kids love them and my mom made them when l was a child only there was no peanut butter instead there was a cup of coconut l think l will try this recipe thank you❤
As a kid, these cookies were dubbed "black cookies" because my bro and I couldn't really say no-bake cookies or fudge quickies! We just called them black cookies and the name stuck. Our recipe was slightly different and they always ended up being perfect when we made them! We'd use 2 cups of granulated sugar and then we'd use a heaping 3/4 cup (almost a full cup! Sometimes we'd actually use a full cup pretty much lol!) of peanut butter (crunchy or creamy is okay!). We also always used quick oats, not just any old oats. Quick oats are just softer and tend to soak in the mixture a little bit. Any other types are fine, too, but I suppose it's my personal preference. :) We only boiled the mixture for 1 minute - not 2 - then immediately remove it from the heat and add in the salt, vanilla, and pb... then when the peanut butter is *somewhat* melted, but not all the way, add in those quick oats. It cools in a few minutes with our version and always winds up a much less runny consistency when you're dropping them onto parchment or aluminum foil! Either way you do it, I will always treasure black cookies! My mom passed away in 2020 and I will never forget that recipe.
Saran (plastic) wrap also works to drop the cookies onto. I think when I was a kid we mostly used saran wrap or foil... but these days I tend to use parchment/wax paper. Whatever works, y'know?
Hey Sara. Just an FYI if you don't watch your videos. At around 3:25 in your video, an older man was walking up behind you, and stopped for moment, with what looked like a hypodermic needle in his left hand. He then turned and sat at the kitchen table. Seemed fishy to me.
Hey Jonathon, just an FYI, in case you didn’t see yourself in the bathroom mirror….several guys ran a train on you in the bathroom Friday night. You seem to be enjoying it so much. I just left the bathroom, seems kind of fishy to me that you enjoyed it so much.
