Even the cars fit the Top Gear trio. You could definitely see Hammond loving the Maserati and modifying it to look like a race car, Clarkson loves Aston Martin and the Mercedes is just sensible enough for May.

I just want to say that I really enjoyed this series and the one before it. All three of Freddy, Ed, and Hoovie are very entertaining, and I can't wait for CarTrek3! Someone should hire all three of you to do the US version of Top Gear. I think it would be a big hit! Incidentally, I liked Hoovie's car the best in this installment.

I'm a huge fan of the May, Hammond, Clarkson Top Gear. This series, and the prior one, are on a par with Top Gear. I don't think that's easy to accomplish. Bravo to Freddie, Tyler and Ed, you've created two masterpieces.

Ed is Hammond, knows his stuff but way more preening than the other two. And Tavarish is May, easily the most technically minded and always willing to get involved in the mechanicals, and rather eclectic like May...better hair though.

I'm new to the car trek series and now im binge watching them and it seems like Freddy always gets the biggest beater and it always cracks me up his interior is missing a panel or 2, maybe a headliner, something is either not working on the cluster or just not even in the dashboard, he is by far the Richard Hammond of the series.
The production quality is outstanding in this video! The cars are interesting and the hosts are funny. I was so happy to see the car wizard! Hope y’all got a backup car for Travish
If this was TG or the Grand Tour, Hammond would be in that Maserati, he also probably would've done the same thing Tavarish did with the decals, Clarkson would be in the Merc, he prefers AMG Mercs and he'd probably do the same wrap thing with similar results and May would be in the Aston Martin, because it's essentially the most British out of the three cars and looks the best
No way! Clarkson would be in the Aston, as it is the fastest looking of the bunch and captain slow would drive the Merc as it is dull and boring, but reliable and the best choice all other feelings aside.

Clarkson is an insufferable British car snob, so he'd be in the Aston. It's British and that's all that matters. May would be in the Merc, as it's comfortable, and luxurious. And Hammond likes cheap and cheerful wrecks, so he might have the Maserati. In fairness, May once had an old Rolls and Clarkson had a Grosser Mercedes 600, but that was a rare exception. Usually, if there's one British car, Clarkson will take it.
Martin Fryland he lives in Kansas near Tyler. And Tyler brings all his cars to the Wizard for him to see what’s wrong and for him to fix. It started as Tyler featuring the wizard in his channel, then the wizard made his own. He makes great content. And he’s genuinely a wizard with his knowledge on cars. It’s insane.
Because people don't like copy cats. I don't think anyone has any problem with this content, it is very good! Its just the mannerisms, the hand gestures, the 'talking shit' is all identical. Even the tall one talks like an American Jeremy Clarkson. Its just a bit weird is all. I'm 6 minutes in now. And when he pulled in with the Austin Martin, it reeks of top gear. Now he is talking about the Maserati 'what happened to this car'. It is the Top Gear/Grand Tour format. I'm personally struggling to watch it because it is too much like top gear. But I want to finish it. I'm super curios!
It’s that it feels unnatural. When we say we want more top gear, we want more entertains group dynamics. These guys aren’t making their own image but instead beat for beat copying top gear. It could work if they had personalities similar but you can tell they’re forcing it.
Yeah we're complaining because this is poorly executed.. It feels very, very forced and unnatural and just wrong. They could've just used the general idea of 3 guys buying 3 secondhand cars and doing challenges but they are trying so hard to copy literally every aspect of Top Gear challenges that it's annoying.
I'm sad too see so many people critical of it. I never really got into watching British Top Gear and I actually liked watching the American Top Gear because it was entertaining. Now we have Top Gear TH-camrs edition that I can watch on youtube. Complaining about theses series would be like complaining about sitcoms or cop dramas. They all follow a formula and are going to be quite similar. But maybe I'm just ranting on. I've enjoyed watching Car Trek and hope they continue with more.
The Mercedes Red Pig did not "do terrible." It won its class and finished 2nd overall 24 Hours of Spa in 1971. And this was on the brutal 21 turn 8.76 mile Spa layout used from 1939-1978.

I'm new to the car trek series and now im binge watching them and it seems like Freddy always gets the biggest beater and it always cracks me up his interior is missing a panel or 2, maybe a headliner, something is either not working on the cluster or just not even in the dashboard, he is by far the Richard Hammond of the series.

If this was TG or the Grand Tour, Hammond would be in that Maserati, he also probably would've done the same thing Tavarish did with the decals, Clarkson would be in the Merc, he prefers AMG Mercs and he'd probably do the same wrap thing with similar results and May would be in the Aston Martin, because it's essentially the most British out of the three cars and looks the best
No way! Clarkson would be in the Aston, as it is the fastest looking of the bunch and captain slow would drive the Merc as it is dull and boring, but reliable and the best choice all other feelings aside.

Clarkson is an insufferable British car snob, so he'd be in the Aston. It's British and that's all that matters. May would be in the Merc, as it's comfortable, and luxurious. And Hammond likes cheap and cheerful wrecks, so he might have the Maserati.
In fairness, May once had an old Rolls and Clarkson had a Grosser Mercedes 600, but that was a rare exception. Usually, if there's one British car, Clarkson will take it.

Martin Fryland he lives in Kansas near Tyler. And Tyler brings all his cars to the Wizard for him to see what’s wrong and for him to fix. It started as Tyler featuring the wizard in his channel, then the wizard made his own.
He makes great content. And he’s genuinely a wizard with his knowledge on cars. It’s insane.

Because people don't like copy cats. I don't think anyone has any problem with this content, it is very good! Its just the mannerisms, the hand gestures, the 'talking shit' is all identical. Even the tall one talks like an American Jeremy Clarkson. Its just a bit weird is all.
I'm 6 minutes in now. And when he pulled in with the Austin Martin, it reeks of top gear. Now he is talking about the Maserati 'what happened to this car'. It is the Top Gear/Grand Tour format.
I'm personally struggling to watch it because it is too much like top gear. But I want to finish it. I'm super curios!
It’s that it feels unnatural. When we say we want more top gear, we want more entertains group dynamics. These guys aren’t making their own image but instead beat for beat copying top gear. It could work if they had personalities similar but you can tell they’re forcing it.
Yeah we're complaining because this is poorly executed.. It feels very, very forced and unnatural and just wrong. They could've just used the general idea of 3 guys buying 3 secondhand cars and doing challenges but they are trying so hard to copy literally every aspect of Top Gear challenges that it's annoying.
I'm sad too see so many people critical of it. I never really got into watching British Top Gear and I actually liked watching the American Top Gear because it was entertaining. Now we have Top Gear TH-camrs edition that I can watch on youtube. Complaining about theses series would be like complaining about sitcoms or cop dramas. They all follow a formula and are going to be quite similar. But maybe I'm just ranting on. I've enjoyed watching Car Trek and hope they continue with more.
