I owned my FF for 2yrs and literally used it as my daily driver. I have two kids and it handled everything. I used to put power washers in the back and loaded it with groceries. I am a certified zoomer and I LOVED the FF when it came out (and still do). Always been a fan of shooting brakes. Kinda sad I don't see many out on the road.
I love shooting brakes. Loved the FF when it came out and still do. Still wanting a few in different colors, red, silver, white, black, yellow.... there's 7 days in a week.
Us old farts remember the BMW Z3 Coupe. Pretty universally hated, but I absolutely love it! Same goes for this one. I could see myself owning an FF over most other Ferraris, no matter if they were as affordable as this one.
As an FF owner, this car is too much fun to drive to not drive it every day. Mine is still under warranty so maintenance has had no real cost. The common fear of a $30,000 fix for the transmission is overblown. Maybe 10% have had that problem, and now there are $10,000 solutions. I’ve always loved the unique look of shooting brakes. Sure a Panamera is less expensive, but are quite common. I don’t see any other FF’s. I’d guess that here are only 400 of these in the USA, and most of those are in Florida and California. Usually owners have other Ferraris. The going rate in the USA on BAT has been $130,000. For a late model, low mileage FF from a Ferrari dealer with a two year extension on the warranty runs more like $170,000. Every extra 1,000 miles costs $1,000 on resale. Since FF’s are often high mileage, that can subtract a lot. I have been in a Purosangue and the advantage is four doors. I’m 6’4” and the back seat space fine but is the same as the FF. But they are sold out until 2025. This review was good and enjoyable. The title works as clickbait.
Finally someone who actually knows what they are talking about. All the comments about the FF being a moneypit are from people who have never owned a car like this, probably never will and are jealous and want to talk shit to make themselves feel better about it. There are companies who can carry out an £8,000 fix on the transmission to stop it from ever going in the first place, and the car is otherwise very reliable.
Find me any 330k without notable pricey issues. Expensive complicated things break and cost a lot to fix. A friend's dad had to replace the hybrid battery on a P1. It cost c. £100k s@@maxmusterman-yr5mq
I love hatchbacks a LOT. They're so practical for their size. I can carry all of my belongings from one side of the country to another. The FF is absolutely one of my dream cars. Beautiful car and so awesome that the price has come fown to where i still cant afford it😂
I always found it funny that «hatchback» seems to be such a four letter word in the US! To the point that the Jetta used to be one of the most popular models there because people absolutely had to have a trunk on their Golf 😅
I got to sit in one of these not too long ago. I'm guessing it's this exact car as most of this video was filmed in my neighborhood! The owner was nice enough to let me hop in after I told him it was my dream car. Such a sweet ride.
Personally, I love the look of the FF, looks a lot like the Aston Martin zagato shooting brake, surprised these depreciated as much as they did, especially with that Ferrari V12
I imagine the FF going the same way as the Dino, people shat all over them, I remember 10-15 years ago you could buy a Dino for 30k, nowadays they’re 500k. The same I think will happen to the FF considering its styling is very polarizing but it grows on you after awhile much like the Dino
Could be but I think the issue is it is just a 4 seater with front engine. For example Ferrari 400i is also a rare 4 seater btw during its years one of the most expensive one and its as rare as many other sometimes more than 10 times more valuable Ferraris from the same age but its still one of the cheapest Ferraris for sale.
The only Ferrari that i will ever wanna daily drive is a F355 Berlinetta, with a gated 6-speed manual, leather saloon and an AC. That's it. I don't need fancy stereo, i don't need radar guided or actually any kind of cruise control. Just give me that glorious V8 mated to a manual gearbox and a timeless Italian style and i have it all.
Totally agree with this, I always loved that this car had the hatchback. I just wonder if theres an affordable long-term solution for that faulty front transmission. Maybe bypass it entirely and just make it RWD lmao
There is, it's the GTC4 Lusso.. the Lusso looks even better imo.. You can get it in the AWD N/A V12, but they also make a RWD twin turbo V8.. one would hope the front trans in the v12 Lusso would be better than the FF, but considering they made the RWD w/ a diff motor to distract you, I doubt it.
James, the E30 might look small. But that trunk is BIGGG. of you cant fold back the seats. But the amount of stuff ive hauled in my e30 coupe is insane.
Onestly i think the FF wasnt a hatchback but more like a 2 door station wagon like vw did in the begining of the 90s with the Corrado anyway the FF is really cool for what is was
I remember seeing the FF in person for the first time in Neiman Marcus, the year they released their Neiman Edition FF. I thought it was stunning then, and still think it’s still stunning now.
A shooting brake _was_ Ferrari's answer to a Lambo SUV. Ferrari: "We'll never make an SUV!" Drunken Millionaire: "Well, how about a two-door station wagon?" Ferrari: "Oh, we can do that. No problem!"
@BogeyTheBear you got it, that's exactly what a shooting break was. A zagato bodied or custom station wagon to use at your country home. Aston martin shooting break, Rolls-Royce shooting break. They all kind of lost their purpose for hunting parties as the range rover did a better job. The FF has depreciated so much because people don't understand its purpose or design. So it just looks weird to most.
This Ferrari has always been one of my top 5 favorites they ever made. I loved the sleek look of the car and the fact that it retained the legendary Ferrari V12. It was the best of both worlds. You could rip around on a twisty road, but then go pick up the kiddos when you're done and take them to soccer practice. I mean, I guess I get why it depreciated so much in the eyes of the "purists", but I'd buy one today if I could find one for the price advertised here.
My Panamera is super functional. I literally can put 8’ sticks of trim in it inside from Home Depot and the hatchback you can load up on a Costco run. I would go that route..
Since when is an overpriced, underperforming masserati practical? A masserati is for someone who want to look flashy and doesn't care about getting a good value.

Cool review!. We have a Ferrari club at my work come in at least once per year along with numerous other car clubs so I've seen these numerous times. At first I wasn't very fond of them but they sure have grown on me and I Really like them now!.
So I just did a little check, me and a mate went to ELMS at Spa-Francorchamps recently, and we took a 2008 BMW 318i Touring, i just compared our baggage with the liter capacity of the FF, it would have fit, easily. I understand that liter capacity isn't always used to its full potential, but it worked, with margin for error accounted for. A Ferrari FF is just as practical as a BMW 318i Touring, wadda ya know... Also I love the hatchback (shooting break?) style of the GT5CLusso and the FF, they are just so not-Ferrari that I love them!
The hatchback was reminiscent of the Ferrari 250 GT SWB "Breadvan". That was also the inspiration of the BMW Z3 coupé, which was a side project of the BMW engineers in that time. They did this in their free time. Technically the "Breadvan" wasnt a hatchback. It was a race car, and the form was made to be aerodynamicly stable for the 24h of Le Mans. It was a customer race car, based on the 250 GT with the short wheelbase. And the owner wanted to compete against the new 250 GTO - which Enzo refused to sell to him.

In Europe the FF’s are all over 100 some go up to £150,000 and you’ve got to remember that’s in pound
Love it! As a swede, it kind of reminds me of the Volvo P1800ES (one of the most beautiful cars ever made).
I love the FF. The wagon body is so underrated.
I am a certified zoomer and I LOVED the FF when it came out (and still do). Always been a fan of shooting brakes. Kinda sad I don't see many out on the road.
I'm with you on that, they're so different from the normal ferraris and it's not as bad as people say it is.
I love shooting brakes.
Loved the FF when it came out and still do.
Still wanting a few in different colors, red, silver, white, black, yellow....
there's 7 days in a week.
Love the FF
Us old farts remember the BMW Z3 Coupe. Pretty universally hated, but I absolutely love it! Same goes for this one. I could see myself owning an FF over most other Ferraris, no matter if they were as affordable as this one.
@@Psykel The Z3 Coupe was disliked by half of the world the other half lied it.
It's still a beauty. Lots of character.
I wish I can save your comment
Congrats, it is an absolute masterpiece in my opinion. The title is on point though. It has depreciated a lot. GTC 4 Lusso holds better.
for a 330k car that issue should not exist, it's like buying a mansion with mold everywhere and crumbling walls
Find me any 330k without notable pricey issues. Expensive complicated things break and cost a lot to fix. A friend's dad had to replace the hybrid battery on a P1. It cost c. £100k

I love you donut… anddd the donut family🖤❤️🩵💞
2:15. "A Ferrari that could be your only car!" James, you're a great guy but PLEASE stay off the drugs!😂
"That makes me feel poor... 🤢"
Love the FF, and the BMW Clown Shoe. Shooting brake layout are always cool to me
I still wanna see a moneypit episode on Zach’s Silvia
I love the look! It's like a cross between a Supercar and a Hatchback; basically my dream car.
The only real issue is gonna be that engine, and the two gearbox awd system. Everything will be very expensive and impractical to fix but doable.
I LOVE the shape of the FF. I still will never be able to afford one but I love that crazy shooting brake.
Personally, I love the look of the FF, looks a lot like the Aston Martin zagato shooting brake, surprised these depreciated as much as they did, especially with that Ferrari V12
I’m not complaining but I do miss the days of up to speed it was just so good, so funny and James and that show were just such a good fit
One of my favourite Ferrari's. I also love the Z3 Coupe so I have a thing for weird hatchbackish cars
That's crazy because I love the way it looks!!! It looks a beefed up BMW M Coupe from the late 90s
I imagine the FF going the same way as the Dino, people shat all over them, I remember 10-15 years ago you could buy a Dino for 30k, nowadays they’re 500k. The same I think will happen to the FF considering its styling is very polarizing but it grows on you after awhile much like the Dino
And it's the last 4-seater by Pininfarina. The successor GTC4Lusso was done by the in-house team.
Excellent point!
Also they sold very poorly so they are going to be ultra rare.
I've always loved the FF. I had no idea it's gone down in price that much!
Huh, I had no idea these are cheap compared to other Ferraris, I thought they looked sick!
8:12 It's fast as FF!!
I believe the Ferrari California depreciated even more
Totally agree with this, I always loved that this car had the hatchback.
Wrong!!! 🛑 Ferrari built FF to compete with Porsche Panamera not with Cayenne
This is genuinely my favorite Ferrari. It's so beautiful. 😮😮😮
James, the E30 might look small. But that trunk is BIGGG. of you cant fold back the seats. But the amount of stuff ive hauled in my e30 coupe is insane.
Pumphrey retching because the exposed lock made him feel poor had me rolling.
Still love the styling of the FF
16:06 “Is it affordable? Yeainda?”
Onestly i think the FF wasnt a hatchback but more like a 2 door station wagon like vw did in the begining of the 90s with the Corrado
anyway the FF is really cool for what is was
I remember seeing the FF in person for the first time in Neiman Marcus, the year they released their Neiman Edition FF. I thought it was stunning then, and still think it’s still stunning now.
Day 404 of asking James to do and Up to Speed on his Dad
An up to speed to anything would be great
@@antrace92true
@jamesvanderbiltpumphrey I volunteer again to be your dad at your wedding. I'll walk you down the isle and tell ya I'm proud of you
Error: Dad not found
Bro QUIT IT
That's a shooting break, not ferraris' answer to the cayenne 😂
A shooting brake _was_ Ferrari's answer to a Lambo SUV.
Ferrari: "We'll never make an SUV!"
Drunken Millionaire: "Well, how about a two-door station wagon?"
Ferrari: "Oh, we can do that.
I love it being a shooting brake. Idg what's not to like. One of my all-time favorite Raris along with the base F12 and California
V12 makes it a true Ferrari and it will become a collection item as new supercars will be powered by a maximum V8.
I think it looks great. I’d definitely drive it.
You guys forgot Brunei made custom Ferrari wagons back in the 90’s. I always think that’s where they got the idea from.
$80k ="wrecked and rebuildable."
My Panamera is super functional. I literally can put 8’ sticks of trim in it inside from Home Depot and the hatchback you can load up on a Costco run. I would go that route..
for me its the best ferrari ever. you can literally make it a family daily car with a v12 realy fast engine definetley one of my dream cars
What a beautiful journey by the donut family
Gordon Ramsay’s favorite channel
Question is, can it go more than a 1000 miles without breaking down?
did you not see the ferrari badge on the front?
Why wouldn't it? I say this as someone who daily drove a much older Ferrari for years.
😂 or burning down
@dcarbs2979 well, it has depreciated quite a lot since it was new. Maybe there a some reliability problem to blame regarding this particular model.
As long as you have a baby sitter to keep doing full restores after every day of use
Ah Ferrari options. They're not really options, your car isn't drivable without it.
idk why but me personally really like this car, it's just different and i like it
I love this car, looks great to me!
I'm glad this exists, so you can tell apart people with class AND practicality - they drive a Quattroporte.
Since when is an overpriced, underperforming masserati practical? A masserati is for someone who want to look flashy and doesn't care about getting a good value.
The QP is one of the most tastelessly ostentatious cars. It's the Nissan Altima of luxury.
i see em all the time with yellow, fogged out headlights, like clean the car up for Christ sake!@@RatBürgerSk8
Showing some appreciation for depreciation!
Forgetting about the classic ones, the FF is my favorite Ferrari, love it since it came out
0:00 Good Morning Sir, yesterday i started to study, im super ready lets go!
You guys have the best car program ever made! Sure Top-Gear had some more "fantastic" stuff they did, but when it comes down to just cars, nobody has ever done it better than you! Funny, informative and delivered by true car lovers that don't hunger for fame. You just come across as super fucking nice and funny guys, and I kinda wish I could be a part of your team! :)
The FF wasn't appreciated enough because of it's shooting brake design and because of that it's become the bargain Ferrari
your motor prestige playlist is awesome :D
Cool review!. We have a Ferrari club at my work come in at least once per year along with numerous other car clubs so I've seen these numerous times. At first I wasn't very fond of them but they sure have grown on me and I Really like them now!.
Donut crew should do a road trip with depreciated cars, that would be awesome
My man James looking f*ing great! Keep it up my man!
7:33 Walmart Leclerc hahaha!
The final screen typo for the channel ... so forgivable because of the quality content❤
I LOVE that shooting brake/hatchback design
Donut is truly missing out on not having James. I still love donut. I wish they could’ve worked things out. I just love what James brings to the whole thing.
I love how at 14:22 they floor it and just start laughing
I have always loved these, I think they're super unique!
A race car you can go grocery shopping in sounds great
