How epic would it be using footage from day 1 in a huge documentary including like sit down interview of Damon and Dave looking back on it all as a final episode
I’ll be 50 this year. I am an apparel printer by trade and a car enthusiast down to my last cell. Nothing inspired me more than being along with Damon and Dave the past 6 years. I have learned and grown from the channel. I shed a tear when Damon said “they’ll flick the switch and it’ll be over”. Not gonna lie, I’ve never thought about what that would look like. Thank you, James for this video. You are part of the DDE family now. 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Damon and Dave have become a huge part of my life after I suffered a near fatal massive stroke and they gifted me new merch when I was still in the hospital. I had my worst and the only thing keeping me focused was the daily uploads while ever in Europe on the rally and that’s when I got a big surprise and a bunch of new merch that was not even released yet at the time, I will forever cherish that and I hope to one day soon when I am fully recovered to meet Dave and Damon because you guys are basically the same age as me, I’ve always been enthusiast my entire life. I just never had the funds to get myself into an exotic car so I just have to enjoy what I hope to get one day from watching you guys so I kinda get a little emotional knowing that day this will and that’s how life goes . This was a great video. Really in-depth look to the whole DDE brand.
This really showed Damon’s authenticity, love for the company, the fans and above all how big his heart is. Knowing the plan is to auction off all DDEs memorabilia not for personal gain but for charity is definitely admirable. Even seeing the real behind the curtain workings of DDE, gave me a huge appreciation for what they do, because it definitely gets lost otherwise. On a personal level for me, when they moved the race suit, I could see the SVJ watch I made for Damon, still in the box with the note still with it… that to me meant a lot and showed how much he appreciates what the fans give back to him.
Not gonna lie, I got a bit sad thinking about the day there is no more DDE. This was a great episode James, thank you for making it. I love your channel; and the egg content. Wishing everyone the best from Orange Beach, Alabama USA.
The part where Damon said that he will flick the switch when he’s done literally brought tears in my eyes. Been seeing DDE since 2012 and seeing DDE go will be the saddest day in my life. I hope that day never comes ! 🙏🏻🥺
I think that what Damon says is true for all of us when we're done we're done we built a legacy just like Ken block and when it's time to turn the lights off it's time to turn the lights off we built our future we built a life we built a brand and we've done it much like everybody else we all have a plan and this hits home for me because at the end of the day we all want to retire and end our legacy with fulfillment joy and happiness and that is what Damon and DDE stands for
We will never forget DDE in 90 days YSOB!.....you guys will always be the ones that did it first & did it the best. I have watched you guys from the beginning. What a journey it has been. Peace & Love from the UK

The way you guys interact says a lot about your friendship. You may have only known each other for a short time, but you just gell so well as you get each other and what you are trying to do, and the effort it takes to make things happen.
What I really like about James and Damon's chemistry is how they can be talking and they can see the other switching to monologue mode and they just step back and you don't even register, when Damon starts explaining the Senna it's seamless, James just wanders off to look at the rear of the car and then straight back to Damon after, anyone else and there'd be three breaking in filming, and probably a few takes of each.
James brings out such a different side in Damon, loved this vlog. Jamesls knowledge and delivery is so talented! He is a great in the interviewer mode.
You know when you watch a TV series like Game Of Thrones , somewhere in the back of your mind you know it’s a story that ends somehow , with DDE I never anticipated a ending , I’m 6 years older than Damon and have been living for a couple of years vicariously through him , yes I live my own life but that half an hour everyday is when I get to escape my reality and become a car guy , something I’ve always wanted to be but never got there ! James is a person I’ve also followed for a while now but he is the classy gentleman racer with loads of knowledge that speaks so eloquent that his words feel like honey dripping off ice cream into my ears , I get that his trajectory with MrJWW isn’t the same as DDE , but hell what an absolute desert these two teams make for the soul ! Honestly I think this collaboration between MrJWW and DDE , needs to be explored even further !
That was a very good episode! Really enjoyed hearing how DDE got into the Hoonigan space and how they’re using it. Sometimes, we don’t always appreciate the people behind and in front of the camera and what it takes to create compelling content. So, thanks to you, James, and to Damon. Well done, boys.
The F12 will be Mike's (and Tim's) Magnum Opus. Their finest achievement. Hopefully, this build doesn't exhaust Mike so much that he decides it's time to sell the tools and make the F12 his Swan Song.

Thanks James, its lovely to see those with a passion on your channel, Not only Chasing a dream, but living it daily must be both hard work, enjoyable, a learning path for future projects, and lets not forget behind all these guys and yourself are families, so there is also responsibilities that we never see on top of what as creators they and you are providing for their channels. Just so happy for car enthusiasts to have the likes of you, DDE, Matt Armstrong, Emelia Hartford, Cleetus Mcfarland and alike who i love watching for their builds. I love seeing cars bought, modified and then driven as they were supposed to be, I think the effort put in by all creators on youtube has to be both a passion and a pressure. Well done all.
What a great collab video with the DDE crew. I have loved watching them over the years and this was a great inside view you gave. Love your content with the guys and can't wait to see both channels on the next Gumball 3000!!
Excellent video! I gotta say I enjoyed this video more than I expected and more than most all others in a long time. I think James and Damon together are just gold. Thank you both for these memories. Keep them coming!
There are very few channels I actually follow and even fewer videos that I give a thumbs up to. However, when Damon or James upload, they often get a thumbs up.
DDE are the best right now I really love their content, those four guys are so different from each other, Dave, Damien, Mike and Tim, which makes everything so interesting, immersive, entertaining and educational for me!
What a beautiful video. Thanks JWW for bringing some light into a channel that has been so important to me over the past several years. They have helped me, without them knowing, go through some extremely tough times. I am so grateful for the DDE team.
Man, I HATE hearing about BendPak giving youtubers lifts, honestly. I asked them if there was any discount possible so I could buy a lift for my cousins tiny shop and they offered me 0% financing....thanks!
Lmao asked for a discount why would they give you one they don’t know you nor does anyone else so it wouldn’t even get promoted to thousands of viewers it’s a beneficial thing for both parties
@@ScarJimmy I said discount, didnt ask for one free like they give them free to these youtubers that make a ton of money. You know, a discount for a small business is a reasonable request. But keep LMAO to yourself buddy, theres plenty of youtube boots to be licked.
They can literally have like 4-5 businesses under that roof; DDE wheel manufacturer/supplier for themselves and potential customers with affordable prices; a wrap station, again, for themselves and customers; fab shop for exhausts and other metal work; electrical and lighting; engine performance shop with two dynos; AND a DDE brand selling anything from merch, to roof boxes, wheels, exhausts, and all sorts for the DDE fam and or other potential customers looking for competitive prices, also coming from a reliable source. Let's not forget the DDE Racing Division, and some.
No it’s not. You must have missed the part where he said Hoonigan was making 16M annually on Merch alone. They are on their way in that direction with the Zumies deal and getting into retail outlets. Annual Gumball collabs will open the door for special drops. DDE needs its own annual rally
Put up 4 store fronts on the property. ..burger joint, seafood place, coffee/ breakfast, juice and fruit salad bar...also put them on the food delivery apps...gold mine
Literally my favorite channels besides one other I sincerely watch daily, or at least will binge on the weekend to catchup if I fall behind some. This was truly a behind the scenes video of DDE and what it's like to be successful TH-camrs and entrepreneurs who love what they're doing. Thank you Mr. JWW for presenting this!
The big problem with DDE is that there are many channels of people who drive exotic cars, DDE could have been better if they had given more importance to building and customizing cars like Mike and Tim are doing but Damon's ego doesn't let it show It's boring to see them burning tires and breaking cars in "The Block." 🤷♂

Damon bit off way more than he can chew!! Not only that the production quality of DDE has dropped massively!! The fact Mike and Tim’s videos do better views has basically ruined DDE 😂😂😂 it’s actually hilarious now watching Dave and Damon beg for likes and views 😂😂😂😂

Great Collab!!!
Love this video 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 DDE Fam for life🔥🔥🔥🔥 Mr JWW is total DDE Fam🔥🔥🔥 GumBall 3000 can't wait
32:29 ❤ Yeah, but what if your daughter wants to take over daily driven?Exotics and you should really leave the youtube channel up
I agree
What a great collab video with the DDE crew. I have loved watching them over the years and this was a great inside view you gave. Love your content with the guys and can't wait to see both channels on the next Gumball 3000!!
Hoonigan is "evolving"? You mean dying.
Excellent video!
I gotta say I enjoyed this video more than I expected and more than most all others in a long time. I think James and Damon together are just gold. Thank you both for these memories. Keep them coming!
I would be devastated if dde disappeared
Excellent, informative video. Thanks, JWW, and hope your relationship with DDE continues.
Damon; why would you give such a riveting story away? I love JWW as well but the story of how DDE ends is a great video idea.
DDE has made a lot of bad mistakes lately!
Little driving content is there NR1 sinn!
To much of Dave yapping is the NR2 sinn
There are very few channels I actually follow and even fewer videos that I give a thumbs up to. However, when Damon or James upload, they often get a thumbs up.
You’re too kind, thanks buddy
DDE are the best right now I really love their content, those four guys are so different from each other, Dave, Damien, Mike and Tim, which makes everything so interesting, immersive, entertaining and educational for me!
That's the most awesome analogy I've heard in a very long time, Go DDE and congratulations on the new facility. thanks MR.JWW and DDE for everything
South africa in the house
Knowing SA its probably not your house and someones being home invaded
Well done James, loving the content. I just wish that one day I can meet all you guys together..❤❤❤❤
That’s a lot of people,to do all that
This is so cool to see. No one actually knows how hard these guys work. It's very impressive. They deserve everything they have gotten.
You need to talk Damon into starting car giveaways . That’s a huge money maker.
Z06 would be a great start
nope. terrible idea.
No it’s not. You must have missed the part where he said Hoonigan was making 16M annually on Merch alone. They are on their way in that direction with the Zumies deal and getting into retail outlets. Annual Gumball collabs will open the door for special drops. DDE needs its own annual rally
@@jamalfadesemall9275wheel pros wrecked what hoonigan built
Mega James! This is the first docu of DDE that really resonated that I've seen. Spot on, keep it coming!
Put up 4 store fronts on the property. ..burger joint, seafood place, coffee/ breakfast, juice and fruit salad bar...also put them on the food delivery apps...gold mine
No food zoning in that area
It’s industrial zoned. Not commercial retail
Literally my favorite channels besides one other I sincerely watch daily, or at least will binge on the weekend to catchup if I fall behind some. Mr.JWW and DDE are an automotive content match made in heaven and as a fan, I'm so happy you guys are friends, possibly even really good and close friends. Love seeing the stuff you guys put together and bring out of one another
Compton is the “hood” in LA. Semi industrial with bar covered windows on the homes. Lots of drive by shootings, etc.
Worst part of town in LA you don't go in that part of town at night
This was truly a behind the scenes video of DDE and what it's like to be successful TH-camrs and entrepreneurs who love what they're doing. Thank you Mr. JWW for presenting this!
The big problem with DDE is that there are many channels of people who drive exotic cars, DDE could have been better if they had given more importance to building and customizing cars like Mike and Tim are doing but Damon's ego doesn't let it show It's boring to see them burning tires and breaking cars in "The Block." 🤷♂
Right,,,how many times can you watch the same show,,
James and DDE together is great company. You are funny guys. Good luck in the future. Will miss yours videos 👍
We want the bad mechanic part 2
No we don't.
@@terryhughes6248yeah I agree with you not to mention Damon has said before that he’s not doing anything else on it anyway.
You're not going to get it for legal reasons...
Part 2 sketchy mechanic
Stop ruining this. You suck
Class interviewing Legend. Amazing on both of you. Will truly be a sad day when it comes, but good on you Damon having your priorities.
There’s no way there is 700k into that build
Labor for Mike, Tim, Sean and gintani and all other parties. Lots of man hours on the engine and the frame. I wouldn’t be surprised
@@ericmain30 plus the original build dated in Texas
I understood it like he was saying, 700,000 of the selling price was for their upgrades.
Damon we love you.i had tears in my eyes when you said you will be disappear into the darkness .never leave us behind.if the car channels turns off then continues the behind the scene channel.we would love to see you as a lifestyle vlogger.never leave us 😢😢we love you damon and dave❤❤
Great to see where these channels have gone. I remember Damon’s first videos in the cold in Canada. He used to wake up and just go drive his car.
Who still watches dde these days ? I stopped years ago
Obviously not if ya commenting my guy 😂.
Love your work Mr. JWW...your Collab with DDE is fantastic!
I mean why have a building that big then? You and your company is no where near the size of Hoonigan, I see this being a waste of money. Not smart decisions.
We are extremely thankful for what you do DDE.. roughly 20mins a day to get away from the stresses of life.. Thank you!!
Too much dde wannabe hoonigan content, it’s too repetitive
Don't watch then
If you don't like em go watch Thomas the tank engine. 😅
Never too much dde, and hoonigan isn't the same after Ken died. I'm sure he'd love seeing the torch being passed. Also don't watch then. Have a good day ❤❤
Oh no! If only there was an easy way for you to avoid the content 🤔
I hope dde never gets deleted hopefully that never happens we appreciate everything you have sacrificed you and dave the stress must be outrageous, the dde channel got me through my day seeing these amazing cars built and to be driven please don't stop this go for another decade keep the DDE strong SVJ needs to come back love y'all Damon, dave, tim and Mike and whoever else is a part of the dde don't stop even though its very stressful
so tired of DDE bullshit
Don't watch then
And yet here you are 🤷🏻♂️
@@MrJWW😂😂😂 awesome reply bruv
@@SuperCasey98 I didn't jackass :)
Great video. Damon is a chill dude. Nice to hear him explain how it all works
Great analogy Damon with the car on the road…
