Good info to know, because we own a Club Car Precedent. We call it Tow Mater Lol It's a 48v and the next project on it is repairing the gas/Go petal. It's worn from driving at low speeds, (kind of tiny dead spot at 1/4 throttle) and I'm hoping we can take it apart and clean the internal contacts. If not we will have to replace it. Yes, many times we have turned the key off and operated the petal on and off a bunch and that did help.

I have a 1988 club car DS and the brakes are destroyed. I’m hopeful that the bolt pattern is exactly the same because I bought a set like this. We’ll know by Sunday

I’m curious. I heard you say that the rear end leaked 90 weight out. Is that the correct weight oil? I saw on a club car site that it requires 30w oil. Wondering whose correct. Any thoughts?

Hey Jeremy, watched the live feed you were on with Chicanic, & enjoyed it, but failed to respond then. Wanted to let you know that I really appreciated the wall hanging you had in the background; the quote from Joshua 24:15 "As for me & my house, we will serve the Lord"! So thankful a brother in Christ is sharing his faith. Take care & keep going bro! :-)

Do you have to fill the axles with anything when you are putting it back together?

I cannot get the hub off. I hit it with a chipping hammer and it is stuck. Any suggestions? Is there something else holding it besides the snap ring?

A couple days ago I had a question about a craftsman 2500 pressure washer the starter rope broke and I was trying to find out how to get the the starter part off because it had for Ribbit so I didn’t know if I take those for rivets out or what and then when I went to go look for the starter rope it’s smaller than the rope that’s on it can I use that smaller open be OK as always thank you and God bless

Thanks for this. Is there a unique way to adjust the brake? I had an issue with one side grabbing and skidding before the other. I took everything apart, cleaned, inspected, and reinstalled everything. But I see one side turning still when the park brake is engaged.

Good Video! Right Rear brake makes noise racket when applied sometimes, I thought ok, new brakes, but the 1981 up thru 1990 brakes are different than my elmco.
I got a strange rig here, its ELmco 21E but seller said it was 1990 chassis with the Rolls Royce fiberglass body kit on it. The brakes are not the top manual adjust, but really look exactly like your video (bottom starwheel auto adjust)... what is this i got ? The brakes some life left (not new) but i see nothing wrong. drums ok , no lip on inside edge. any ideas. Thanks, InventPeaceNotWar

With worn brakes pushed way out, how do you get the brake drum off? Prying? Pounding? Puller of some sort? Except for the snap ring, the rest is extremely easy!

I recently picked up a 2004 precedent. All the brakes look new. When I sing the lugs the drum drags. I have removed rhe shoes and put the drum back on and tightened it and no drag. Drag seems to be in one spot. I believe they used one of rhe aftermarket drum and shoe kits. Any suggestions??

Same question Wing It Workshop below.
Do you need to add any fluid to the axel after putting everything back together?
If so...what fluid. I have a 48 volt Club Car DS second half of year 2000.

Great video. I have a 2004 DS and ordered the same snap ring pilers you used but my clearance is much tighter. Spent 2 hours attempting to get at that split ring with no luck. Is there a chance they use some sort of special pilers through the adjustment hole? My only other option is to remove the brake assembly in the hope to get more clearance. Don't know if you are still monitoring this video. Thanks.

For real. What pliers are these? I’ve tried two different pairs and don’t have it off yet… Also, don’t let your coworkers get on the lugs with a short socket in an impact gun. Pushing the lug studs backwards will strip the splines on the studs and hubs if you try hard enough. Now to fix it right, I need to replace the whole axle. Help like that I really don’t need.

If it doesn’t have the snap ring that that means it has seat clips on the internals of the differential bull gears. Sort of like a 8.8 inch differential on a Ford
