FILM DESCRIPTION:
In 1979 young Donna, Tanya and Rosie graduate from Oxford University -- leaving Donna free to embark on a series of adventures throughout Europe. On her journeys, she makes the acquaintances of Harry, Bill and Sam -- the latter whom she falls in love with, but he's also the man who breaks her heart. In the present day, Donna's pregnant daughter, Sophie, dreams of renovating a taverna while reuniting with her mother's old friends and boyfriends on the Greek island of Kalokairi.

Just taking a moment to appreciate the gorgeous cinematography....lovely scene
I admire the filmmakers a great deal for exactly this reason. With the popularity of the first film and the strength of the cast and songbook, they could so easily have phoned this one in on a technical level and still have made a fortune. Instead, it was jam-packed with ambitious, creative delights just like this. Wonderful film, it really was.

HOW DID THEY DO THE MIRROR TRANSITION? IT WAS LIKE MAGIC!!

How did they do the wall Transition? This was the best duet in the movie with all the transitions and the acting was spot on with Amanda and Dominic. They need to do more movies together they have amazing chemistry.

They just have like a sitcom stage and they stand on opposite sides of the wall and then they cut it when you only see Amanda and then we are back in only her room and the wall that was not there earlier when they stood on either side of it is now back because they have either switched set to a full build of all walls or they just slide the wall back in like a big Lego piece.
@@kingwacky184 it's most probablydifferent room - see different set of frames on the right of Amanda - from 2 it changed to 4 + wall seems to have connected corners :D

Those transitions are so clever you almost don't notice how beautiful the set decor is, especially her room with it's Mediterranean blues and greens, and all the lovely detail which tells you so much about her character.

the actors did a really great job singing about their relationship especially since they were exes while filming the second movie so like the pregnancy scenes and like coupley stuff would have been really hard to control emotions
They could have still been on really good terms hence why those scenes were easy to do. Some Exs stay really good friends and such.
There’s no other word to describe Amanda’s voice other than pretty. It’s so petite and feminine and just so damn pretty 😍
Her voice is gorgeous. I'm sure she wouldn't be able to hit a sour note if she tried

But the makeup it matches with the theme of this movie though. Cus she isn’t young or naive anymore where she can take on the world ya know? So the more matte and mature tired look just matches who she is now ig?

This movie hits so hard about how much 10 years of change does to people.
Screenwriters gave this song it’s rightful due. It’s one of my favourite ABBA ballads. And I’d have been the first to complain, had they come up with anything less to portray it within the story. But this is right on the money. They clearly have the same respect for this song’s greatness that I do. Thank you.

Sophie and Sky are not married in the 2nd movie they are in a rough relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend. Sky has a job in NYC(New York City) and Sophie is running her Moms hotel in Greece. They both live in two different countries so they never see each other and when there on the phone they fight

I felt that he couldn't sing in the 1st movie (not being mean to him) however that fact that he had fun and gave it his all in the movie more than made up for it. This movie he's (actor) a decade older, more mature in mind as well in body.

This has always been one of my absolute favorite ABBA songs and so I was so happy when this one was in the second one. And this scene is so good and clever….All of the little details that pop up, the way they film both of them together but they’re in different places….it’s like they want to be together and they’re unknowingly being mirrors of each other because of their love…
