6:10 This is the key to swapping springs. Use the safest style of compressing clamps in the world which could never slip, then just in case of the tiny chance they were to slip, keep your face above them as much as possible to protect the car/ceiling. Love it, some great added tension lol
Putting your face in the way of the spring is even worse than it going through the ceiling or hitting the car or hitting something else if it pings off the strut. The spring could leave you with permanent/life changing injuries which you do not want at all.

The thing i like the most about these videos is that when you guys say you have a £500 budget you actually stick to it and dont just thrown in a £1000+ set of BC Coilovers in the mix lol, seeing a £100 set of springs being put on the Focus was very refreshing, keep it up!

The insulation under the bonnet is not just for NVH, but is also designed to smother an engine bay fire should one occur if you leave the engine bay closed, which in this instance might end up being necessary 😂 Watching this on my lunch break from working on audis for a living, I envy the amount of fun you two are able to have working on cars. Loving the videos, keep it up!
@@BondoV2 I'm talking about damage to the top paint. It was a more common issue on older cars. I ran without my liner for a couple of weeks and could see way more heat off the hood. I think the metal retains the heat more as well, heat soaking the engine bay

Bit of advice from someone who had to restore metalwork on vintage motorcycles and cars; WD-40 and some triple ought steel wool will remove most of that pitting, far better than metal polish will. Follow that with a cotton cloth and the polish, both yourself and the Can-o-Japan will thank me later. Or y'know throw the whole car in the bin and move onto another project, thats pretty good as well
Should add a rear bumper in that colour aswell. There was an advertisement car with exactly that colour combination, but I don't remember what it was advertising for.

Just an advice is to knock on the bolt before trying to unscrew it with socket or screwdriver..and use heat to it! The ep3 stock wheels looks so much better on the ep3. That new big air filter just sucking hot air so less performance but damn good sound! The St sound so good with that backbox. The buckle on the back of st plastic bumper..just use either boiling hot water or just a heatgun and push it out from the inside..easy fix! Great episode and looking forward to next one. Hey guys! Next time you struggle on that rotor retainer screw on Japanese cars - what you need is a Vessel Megadora Impacta JIS screwdriver. It’s a JIS fastener, not PH3, and the impact function with a hammer will break that screw loose. Don’t use an impact gun - only a JIS impact screwdriver. Hope that helps - love the channel - my partner and I watch together whenever there’s a release!
14:40 - 'Foggy Headlights' - A CHEAPER AND EFFECTIVE alternative :- - A couple wooly buff pads - Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Toothpaste - A spray bottle with clean water - Some clean microfibre towels - A bottle or spray of Anti-UV coating/protect ant/laquer STEPS:- - Wash & rinse headlights thoroughly. - Spray headlights with clean water - Wet wooly buff pad and apply liberal amount of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Toothpaste, and smear all over the headlight - Start to buff the headlights on a medium speed (IF using a cordless drill use '1' out of the 2 gears) - Buf in circles covering the whole headlight - Occasionally give the headlights a little spritz of the clean water to keep the headlight plastic cool and the paste moist - Keep doing that until the headlight has had a good polish over (you can check progress by wiping over a small area to see how clear the headlight is becoming) - IF the headlight needs another round, then repeat process (clear headlight over, wet, apply toothpaste and polish away)... FORGET the idiots that say "The tooth paste method doesn't work" or "It will fail again quickly", as, I have done this exact thing on AT LEAST a dozen personal, friends and family cars, have saved them a lot of money, AND IF done with patience, care, attention to detail and with the UV protectant once the job's done, WILL LAST YEARS. Even without using the protect ant,it WILL help your car pass an MOT and then get up to a good years clear headlight out of them at least.... Side note, EVEN A THIN FILM of road dirt WILL cut down how effective your bulbs will cast the light down the road, so ALWAYS try and keep your headlights clean! And DON'T be a NOB and forget the rear of the car either, IF it's hard to see your tail lights (because you don't wash your car), you're more likely to get smacked up the arse! 😎🇬🇧

I used to have a Focus RS MkII - one of the cheapest and best mods I ever made was solid engine mount bushings. They were like £70. The amount of movement on those engines on stock bushings can literally unsettle it when you're pushing it hard.
Will. Sacrifice the drop links the springs will come out with a large bar. Or undo to of shocks under wheel arch 16mm to drop bottom arm. Done quite a few when the 15mm lower shock bolt seized into the hub.
Just incase anybody is going to lower the ST please always remember when you have the front suspension off the car, unclip the strut plastic cover or when you undo the top bolt all the top will come open and ball bearings on your floor.
Hope you guys continue on in the same vain. This is the first British based car youtubers who i've felt have managed to match the reasons why so many people like Mighty Car Mods. Easily the best lot to come out of Car Throttle.

If you are fitting evo wheels you should use a hub locating ring or you risk snapping the wheel studs. Especially if you are thinking of taking the cars on a track.

Edwin's obsession with cleaning reminds me of Captain Slow's obsession with things being in order.
Just incase anybody is going to lower the ST please always remember when you have the front suspension off the car, unclip the strut plastic cover or when you undo the top bolt all the top will come open and ball bearings on your floor.
Anyone else actually like the blue + orange ST? Reminds me of hot wheels!

If you are fitting evo wheels you should use a hub locating ring or you risk snapping the wheel studs. Especially if you are thinking of taking the cars on a track.

Earlier today I came across Edwin’s video from the channel which must not be named where he talks about how Gordon Murray ‘cheated in F1’. It was a 5 minute long video of Edwin just talking to camera with some basic animations. I’d love if things like this could continue. Although not everyone is into F1 I think everyone is into watching Edwin talking to the camera
