Jesus that was fantastic. Rider knows how to fucking handle a bike. Most guys are stoked to get there bike above 9000rpm. This guy barely let it drop below that. Insane. 54000kms on the clock and the old girl still loves getting hammered. What a great bike. Pilot has huge balls.
I've owned a couple of ZX7Rs - lovely safe and solid handling ..but I never had the balls to ride them that fast. Very nice lines, throttle and braking. Riding to 100% of its capability and staying within that is tough - particularly on a long track with slower traffic. Stay safe - don't try to beat that time!
I had one of these. By the sounds of that engine and checking the mileage you haven’t been cutting her much slack. Ridden how it’s supposed to be. Brought back many exhilarating memories.

Wow, impressive. ca. 7:51 B2G. Pretty fast, even for RIDE5 riders, but this is real. :-) Regard to camera perspective, in my opinion is OK, doesn't matter for everyones who knowns how NNS goes. At that perspective it is easy to see: the amazing speed, the track dificutly with changing elevations, bumps, and finally quite often "not see where to ride next". Once more, impressive, but take care, safety first. Good luck.

What a fantastic machine. The 7’s really are the best of middle and heavyweight bikes. I’m impressed at the mileage, a true riding machine. And look how cool it stays. Well taken care of bike, kudos rider. 💯
What a F***ing lap, a bike, rider. That was like being on the bike itself, a terrific comparison for motorcycles today. My dream garage would be the ZX7 and a 916 side by side. I salute you.
@@NBR_SK Your video proves that some "cougars" can be very sexy, hot and fun indeed. None of the modern "babies" is capable to provide such raw feeling and they don't look as good as your bike either. Can you tell us which upgrades did you make to your steed? Regards from Brazil.✌
@@felipedourado5721 Thanks. Mods/Upgrades: - Full GRP racing tail with small taillights - Got rid of a lot of weight in the rear (lock, rear footpegs, tools etc.) - racing footpegs - lighter Li-Battery (only 350g) - Full akrapovic exhaust (safes a lot of weight!) - carbon ram air intakes
@@NBR_SK Thanks for answering me. Nice to learn that most of the upgrades were made just to alliviate weight but other than that the mighty Kawasaki remains on her original form. That shows two things, the first one is your respect for the essence of the bike (her character - or spirit, if you will - was untouched) and the second one is that her design and technology are still relevant today. Japan engeneering at its best. Pure motorcycle, raw, no frills at all, just power, balance and grace. Regards from Brazil. ✌
Beautiful. I had a ZX7R in 1998 and it was so good, stable and funny. Yoshimura exhaust, a good couple of tyres, oil and brake lines for tracking, set ups the front and rear suspension, air filter and Dynajet on carbs and the party was garanted!
The memory of the bike is better than the reality sadly, new superbikes are better in every conceivable way, and if you are that way inclined turn everything off for that ‘analog’ experience you crave. 😁
Sure new bikes are faster, but you can't get that analog experience with ride by wire, throttle mapping, fuel injection, lean sensors, engine brake mapping and active suspension even with all the rider aids off.
Well done ninga man thats the way to ride who says that old bikes cant cut it. Just goes to show you dont need the latest superbikes to be fast.i have a 97 vfr750 that beats a lot of modern stuff its all down to how big your balls are and the know how to set up a bike.
Tip top. Love my 7R. Will never sell it. Have pretty much retired it and just keep adding fancy bits when i can. My 10RR is the work horse now a days. But the 7 gets all the looks. And such a distinct sound that you know its a 7.
🤣Thought I was watching a PS5 game. I am impressed so much. I had one of these back in 96 and put it on a 'sort of' diet but still it felt a little heavy cos Lithium Iron batteries didn't even exist back then. I did lose the intakes fully for carbon fibre racing parts from World of Carbon here in UK and the obvious exhaust replacement and Harris rear sets/bars etc. Lighter wheels, ditching the standard stock items is a big option these days. The one big thing they always said about the 96 ZX7R/RR is that it had the best chassis, you prove that right here mate👍🏻Amazing. I now play on track with newer bikes , a 2017 RSV4-RF and 2014 RSV4 Factory but finally shed weight with a Lithium battery and lots of titanium. But you know what, I will always have a corner of my heart saved for my 96 ZX7R. Awesome riding and video
Thanks, mate! Yes, one of the big advantages of the 7R ist the stable chassis - especially on a bumpy track like the nordschleife. A lot of people say, that the bike is little too "bulky" and has not enough agility. Well, for me it fits good! Maybe because I am over 110kg myself (with gear).... (sure, in this case the bike lost about 17kg.....)
Nicht mal ne Doppel-R? Respekt! Hab mir auch eine arg vernachlässigte 99er ZX-7R zugelegt und richte die gerade wieder her. Soll mein Ringmoped werden. Wohne nur 15 Minuten Fahrzeit vom Nürburgring.
That was very impressive indeed! Always loved the ZX-7R. Just a little bit of fettling in the right places and you have an awesome road bike and in the hands of someone like yourself can still seriously shift even compared to modern bikes. Late 90's sports bike are the way forward hence I am rebuilding a 1999 ZX-6R. Looks like it all came together for that lap!

the R1 is the "better" bike for sure, but the ZX7R is also capable of moving pretty fast - even in today standard. This bike is incredibly stable in corners and on the brake! Similar to the famous Ducati 916. And it is rock solid and pretty reliable!
For me that bike is the best looking Kawasaki of all time. I had a soft spot for the red and purple paint.
Look at the New ZX10,,
Me too! Nearly bought the red and purple two years ago. I should have. It was a bargain but didn't have the cash at the moment.

nobody noticed how bikes run sooo cool when being thrashed, they love it, so many cars struggle with heat after a few mins of HARD revving !!
