  • Video seems more like a sales training or gearhead video than a hype video for the average customer. More technical than a typical promo video. What do you think? Comment below.

    I bought a new 98 ZX-11, and my buddy had a new 98 ZX-7R
We had a lot of fun riding together.
    RIP Barry. 😔

Fell in love with these before they even came out, ended up getting a 97 ZX6R and unfortunately never had the opportunity to own the ZX7R. That may have to change in the near future

I was lucky to have one for a year (on finance), cost me £250 a month with insurance but I loved every minute of it. Had baked beans on toast for a year but it was worth it, I even got looks from the chicks 🏆

    Great video!
Chris Walker was saying that back in 2002 British Siperbikes series his ZX-7RR weight was 145-150!!! Crazy !

Yes I have the same feeling about fuel injection bikes. I had last carb Fireblade 99 and after I bought Fireblade 954. I couldn’t get used to it. That throttle delay was driving me crazy. I bought back my 919RR 99 ‘

My first showroom floor bike was the 7r, though carbureted and heavy, after some visual customization it looked so damn sexy, after some performance modifications it had the sex drive too match. So solid and steady, the 7r wasn't a trick machine, it was bred for racing, and it did it well. With the right tires and shock setting, they would straighten any turn you put them in. Weight balancing was beautiful, when you did decide to use only the back wheel, it was so ez to keep it there.

Traitor 😂 Yeah they are slightly different machines. I heard ZX9R around 8000 rpm wants to go to the moon. Beautiful bikes.

@@makan1568 they are very quick from first touch of the throttle, and yes 8k rpm is warp speed.
Change a few parts, do a bit of tuning and on acceleration not much can beat them even today.
The C model 98-99 was the firat stock production bike to do the quarter in under ten secs at 9.9 secs and 136mph. Then they changed a lot to improve them for the Y2k E1, new engine, different rake amd wheelbase, lighter but stronger swingarm etc etc.

Loved my zx7r and 7rr rode the piss out of them also cin on LONG trips from n. Mi. to Daytona and Tampa bay 4 times. Wishing i could dind a good used one. I hate fuel injection bikes ,less shit to go wrong with carbs and way easier to work on
