I know I'm gonna be that 🤓 guy. But as far as I know the Nurburgring is treated like a public road when open to the public. I just find that quite interesting and a little weird at the same time. If anyone can explain further, would be appreciated.
I am fairly confident it is obnoxiously loud. Those engines typically are when you slap an aftermarket on there. On top of that, this is actually pretty strict on the Nurburgring so It is safe to assume dude was indeed the loudest thing on the Ring.
the track definitely has sensors and doesn't do this kind of thing subjectively. if you think it's not too loud, my vegas money is on you never having heard too many straight piped motorcycles. my exhaust came loose about a year ago and it gives you a headache sitting in front of the exhaust, with a helmet on, with music playing. an engine with any sort of power to it with NO soundproofing (your car has soundproofing no matter what exhaust you put on, motorcycles really have none) is unbelievably fucking loud. i am absolutely, 100% sure this thing was the loudest vehicle on the track.

There are Porsches probably with aftermarket exhausts blowing past the motocycle on full throttle that you dont even hear. Even without an exhaust, those scooters would not be as loud.

@@leon.690sm9 Please stop giving dangerous advice. Slipper clutches don’t allow for that, they simply mitigate that effect a bit. You still can get the tire to slip if you don’t rev match properly and it will damage your clutch over time, just not as much as a dry clutch. Do your rev matching kids

Shouldn't the dB killer cut some performance, I mean it's not much, but from what I know about engines and exhausts, the dB killer is for getting more back pressure into the exhaust system so the sound waves practically get eaten by the engine. And back pressure is 90% of the time losing you some power, except for 2 strokes of course 🤔

dB killers melt your valves by changing the octane requirement of the engine from the altered exhaust back pressure. Sports bike engines are tuned within an inch of their life, so even a simple exhaust modification can cause the cylinders to lean out, and then burn holes in the valves, and pistons. If you install one you NEED a tune, you cannot fuck around with a 12k rpm+ engine that is running at least a 12.5:1 compression ratio on premium fuel with high lift cams, if anything is off even slightly, it WILL significantly reduce the lifespan of that engine, given its state of tuning from the factory.

A friend of mine got a yamaha raptor (also 700cc like this bike) with an after marked exhaust and i can hear him from almost 2km away so i believe this bike can get as loud as that for everyone that's saying it's not that loud
What is the top speed? My 2019 KTM 500 tops out at around 170 / 180km/h with knobbie tires (really scary to drive that fast on, goes all over the place lol ;)...
Got the same mirrors on the same bike. You have good visibility, because you look between arms and body but they vibrate heavily at certain speeds so you can’t exactly tell what’s behind you
I am happy with the stock exhaust on my KTM 500 (street legal dirbike), sounds normal and quiet until you give full throttle, then it is a bit loud but not horrible loud.

Also because of wildlife the Nürnbergring is in a nature reserve. And it has a limit of 130db which is pretty high (many UK tracks for example have 105db). So considering that it's not too bad.
I can't get why people want to have a loud motorcycle and then wear earplugs - because it's to noisy. 😂 No one needs loud motorcycles - it only harms the motorcycle community and is probably only intended to distract from the fact that you can't ride.😉

I think u mean Royal Jordanian and his Husqvarna Nuda 900 🙂 It’s kinda the same bike, only the 900 is a 2 cil bike and more fairing, bit like a ktm duke.
i think the limit for regular days is 95db and 130db for track days. alot of motards will be close if not over 95 with a stock exhaust :O there's probably an aftermarket exhaust that's quieter thoug. more sound doesnt equal more power

It's a nice sound if you would tone it down an inch or 2 ;) And with normal "touristenfahrten" it isn't a closed race track but a kind of tollway. So normal road rules apply.

i think the limit for regular days is 95db and 130db for track days. alot of motards will be close if not over 95 with a stock exhaust :O there's probably an aftermarket exhaust that's quieter thoug. more sound doesnt equal more power

Quieter exhausts are on average more restrictive.
@@m-h1269 D E P E N D S not all quiet exhaust are more restricitve than ''high power'' aftermarket ones. alot of stock ones are quieter, and give the same power rating as an aftermarket one.
@@allthehandlesweretaken Did you even read what was written? If the quieter stock exhaust isn’t any more restrictive than a performance one then it isn’t quieter at all. The restriction is the primary element which lowers the noise.
@@m-h1269 that's not true. both the oem and aftermarket mufflers. are likely ''full flow'' type. adding restrictions in forms of baffles or reducing pipe diameter, is just one of many ways to reduce sound. many mufflers for the motorcycle market. dont add any power. just sound. and people are willing to buy them for the sound alone

And with normal "touristenfahrten" it isn't a closed race track but a kind of tollway. So normal road rules apply.
