If anybody in the world deserves an award for celebrating life and food , it is Mark. So mindful and respectful of each of the place and the cultures that he visits. appreciates the Goodness truly from his heart and accepts even the modest of modest food from the poor. not to forget his lovely wife who has been so supportive and understanding . she shares the same passion as his. What a lovely couple!!! Its time discovery / National geographic took cognizance of Mark !!!

Why are white South Africans living in South Africa, in China and all over the world? That answers your question. Plus living here does not invalidate my claim that Africa is one of a kind. I bet you havent even been there. If you have then you have not explored it. African history a lone triumphs European history in terms dynamism . When it comes to nature, there is just too much for africa to be proud of. When it comes to culture, Europe is a baby. When it comes to diversity of people, europe is a baby. When it comes to climate, they have it all e.g winter summer, constant sun, deserts, amazons, Rivers, lakes, moutains etc. When it comes to diversity of languages, europe is a baby. Natural resources, europe is a baby. Why do you think all eyes have been on africa even before colonisation? The whites wanted so much to have africa as their own. why do you think they fight for it? Its not a false generalisation. Africa is a continate and with the most countries, so you'd expect way a lot of things going on.

Yet another great video from your African series. I do admire how you respect the cultural differences as your move around Africa - well done, Mark! The Hyena segment was insane - you took one for the team! :)

Love Love Love Ethiopia! It’s been over 40 years since I have been to Harar. I have to go back. Wish I could paste a photo of a hyena being fed then. Love the enamel plates on the wall. More of Ethiopia, please! Thank you so much, Mark.

Something we must learn to imbibe into us. The World is rough but if we smile it smiles back with love. Mark learned it a long time ago. Thank you for mentioning it.
