That was insightful...Sonny clearly has a manner that deescalates, yet you can clearly see also that if things go sideways, he is certainly not backing down and allowing someone to bully or hurt the people around him...Simply excellent and honorable behavior...

I think the main reason many of these individuals were hostile about being filmed is that some of the fish sold at the market may be endangered species, and publicizing this could impact their business. Additionally, most markets in Ghana have a leader or authority figure, so it would be best to reach out to them for permission before filming.
Bycatch enjoinders are largely unenforceable in a sprawling, chaotic third world market like the one seen here. Wow Tatiana was a great host I learned so much listening to her wisdom explaining all the traditions especially the food. If I ever go there I would love to meet her.
considering it, and 99% of the food there is derived from portuguese euopeans, their imports and tastes, i'd say you're a bit late to the party. the europeans had access to all of the ingredients, spices, peppers, tomatoes, styles of cooking(smoking fish), using dried and cured shrimp and fish to add as an ingredient(first garum thousands of years ago), now mostly anchovy paste, and the combinations they prefer of the imports. the portuguese spread their particular tastes to the places they went, which is why you may find similar foods in the philipines, africa and south america, when it comes to preparation and flavors used; such as "adobo". the spanish, close to the portuguese, like their paella(like jollof), the italians like their tomato sauces and pasta(from ancient greece), but the further north you go into europe the climate changes and so does the variety of produce you can cultivate durring the growing season. the further north you go, the more smoked fish, cheeses and root vegetables you'll see due to the harsher and longer winters. further south toward the mediterranean, you see fresher summer ingredients; like fresh herbs, olives, tomatoes, grapes and such. however, the europeans were the first to have access to the widest variety of food "ingredients", and more or less settled on their cuisine by what determines their agricultural seasons. this is why they still import tons of fruits and nuts(among other things) rather than grow them; they cant. the climate doesnt allow for it.
6:00 In Akan, the left hand is regarded as very dirty as you use it to wipe after toilet. It is therefore an insult to shake, greet or do anything with the left hand unless it is extremely necessary where you need to apologize to the other person before you use your left hand.
@@ephraimlionI guess you didn't answer my question. If it's a matter of hygiene why bother eating with only the right if the food is already contaminated?

But nothing like a little controversy to show real experiences which you are all about! Good On Ya . And I love this Ghanaian series! Lol they came back because they knew you tried the jollof in Nigeria lol
Wow Tatiana was a great host I learned so much listening to her wisdom explaining all the traditions especially the food. If I ever go there I would love to meet her.

Every single dish presented in this video looks nothing short of amazing
SHITO is officially international❤. It's SHITO and nothing else. A proud Ghanaian sauce. A huge market awaits in Europe
considering it, and 99% of the food there is derived from portuguese euopeans, their imports and tastes, i'd say you're a bit late to the party. the europeans had access to all of the ingredients, spices, peppers, tomatoes, styles of cooking(smoking fish), using dried and cured shrimp and fish to add as an ingredient(first garum thousands of years ago), now mostly anchovy paste, and the combinations they prefer of the imports. the portuguese spread their particular tastes to the places they went, which is why you may find similar foods in the philipines, africa and south america, when it comes to preparation and flavors used; such as "adobo". the spanish, close to the portuguese, like their paella(like jollof), the italians like their tomato sauces and pasta(from ancient greece), but the further north you go into europe the climate changes and so does the variety of produce you can cultivate durring the growing season. the further north you go, the more smoked fish, cheeses and root vegetables you'll see due to the harsher and longer winters. further south toward the mediterranean, you see fresher summer ingredients; like fresh herbs, olives, tomatoes, grapes and such. however, the europeans were the first to have access to the widest variety of food "ingredients", and more or less settled on their cuisine by what determines their agricultural seasons. this is why they still import tons of fruits and nuts(among other things) rather than grow them; they cant. the climate doesnt allow for it.
I put that shito on everything!

can someone please tell me the name of this fish 0:08
@@samwaldorf8777you are saying a lot of crap
Bro is in love with Ghana and I'm here for it😂
Good on Sonny and his host for having the balls to step-up for his cameraman.
The lady in green who runs the restaurant seemed like an excellent character. I believe in her.
Been watching Sonny for the last couple years, can honestly say I smiled the entire episode. It was wholesome 💛
Ghana 🇬🇭 my motherland ❤❤❤ enjoy ur stay
as an Indian, I loved the no left hand, no left hand 😂🤣
6:00 In Akan, the left hand is regarded as very dirty as you use it to wipe after toilet. It is therefore an insult to shake, greet or do anything with the left hand unless it is extremely necessary where you need to apologize to the other person before you use your left hand.
Then why is it okay to use it to handle food while cooking?
@@OneOut1 I guess you didn't read or didn't understand what I wrote.
@@ephraimlionI guess you didn't answer my question. If it's a matter of hygiene why bother eating with only the right if the food is already contaminated?
@@OneOut1 lol you think they make any sense? you wont get any rational answer.
Just found this popular channel... I see why its popular... very entertaining.
Hey, good for you brother for stepping in, standing up for your people. Shows your character. Most people would have run away, yiu got right up in there, good for you.
What an absolute legend. Straight in to protect his team with no hesitation.
Happy to see Tatiana on your video. She is a good content creator.
Lots of respect for sonny, the crew and co host. Difficult situation but handled very well
The "shito" lady is so in love with you Sonny! The way she was looking at you and kept trying to say exactly what your guide was saying like she was upset she was talking to you.❤ You stud you!
Shout out to all the foodies in the world. Shout out to Ghana!
Holy shitttt those guys in the cart
Good thing everyone else wasn't on their side
This is why Ghana is peaceful. When someone attacks you wrongly, the fight becomes the community's.
All that food in the market looked so good. I'm left handed but I'd still try with my right hand 😅
