Thanks! I’ve had it for a couple of years now and I’m still very happy with it. It was in decent shape when I got it but it needed a new battery and tires right away. Later it needed other maintenance items done but overall it’s been very reliable and satisfying to ride, even on long rides of 300 miles or more. The motor gets very warm so it’s more comfortable to ride during the cooler months. I hope you enjoy yours and put in lots of miles.
Just picked one up from an awesome lady who practically gave it away for an essay and 250 bucks. Patricia if you see this thank you and I can't wait to ride it!
I am from just south of Louisville, and recall when this BMW was on CL. I was tempted, but opted to stay on the Goldwing. It sure is a nice example of K bike. I had an 88 K100LT back in the day, and still have fond memories. Enjoy!
Hey Joe, that’s awesome. It’s been a pretty good bike so far. It needed a new battery and tires. Went on a 300 mile ride Saturday to Maysville and back. Are you in E’town or somewhere close?
I’m in Louisville but I lived in Radcliff for a few years. Went to NHHS, class of ‘82. I ride down that way often! My parents live in E’town still. Find me on Facebook, just search Diego Palma in Louisville. Maybe we can ride sometime. Have a good one!
Thanks, Stewie. Now that I've had it for over three months and put about 1200 miles on it, I have to say it's one of my favorite bikes I've owned. And I've owned quite a few!
Thanks! She needed a few things like a new battery and tires but now that I've put about 500 miles on her I have to say I'm impressed. Owned a lot of bikes over the years (sport tourers, sport bikes and a cruiser) and this one definitely suits me well for where I'm at in life right now. Happy trails to you too, sir.
Thanks. Yes, they’re a little harder to find than a newer K1200LT, the replacement for this one. I do like the fact that it’s lighter than later models. This one needed new tires, battery and a few other things for a total of about $2000 spent on it in the 10 months since I bought it. But it’s completely ready now and in great health and runs and rides great. I’ll likely keep this bike. It’s comfortable, fast and handles pretty good for a 620 lb. bike.
Happy Holidays to you and yours. Im also looking at a similar bike, a 94 that has 51k but is red ( too bad, i like grey better). My question is, what would be a reasonable offer to make for a bike that needs tires and a battery and doesnt come with that lovely seat? Thanks!
When I bought this bike, it needed the same; new tires and a battery and it needed them right away. And being the middle of December, I managed to negotiate a deal for $2,250. Tires and an OEM battery installed were about $750. So in all I spent $3,000 for a bike that was ready to ride, and because of the great cosmetic condition it was in, I was comfortable with that. Since then, I spent an additional $1,200 for the “two year service” which included replacing ALL fluids and filters, a new front brake switch and a few other adjustments. So now I’ve got $4,200 in it and I’ve got a tremendously good classic sport touring BMW that I couldn’t be happier with, is very reliable and needs nothing. And I must say, that Russell Day-Long seat is awesome, especially with the Air Hawk seat pad. Happy holidays to you too and let me know if you get the bike and have any more questions!
Price seems about right, as long as it doesn’t need much. I paid $2200 but spent another $1,500 afterwards for a new battery, tires and a full service. But now it’s in excellent shape and is ready for riding season. It’s been a great bike and fits me well, handling is good and while it’s a little heavy, it’s not the behemoth that K bikes became in future generations. As sport touring bikes go, it does everything well.
looks great, love the seat. I had one but bad to sell it but looking for another they are great!
Absolutely beautiful bike.
I have just bought a 92 1100LT not loved thought so a slow journey to match that beauty🤗Enjoy

@@diegofitzgerald Radcliff, E'town is about 10 miles south. Where are you located?

Nice bike, I've got the same model. They're great to ride. Enjoy!👍

She cleaned up nicely! There's lotsa life left in that model. Happy trails.

Nice bike. I'm looking for one at the moment, but they're not easy to find.

Beautiful!
Thanks! It’s been almost a year since I got it and it has been a great bike.
@@diegofitzgerald Would u consider to make a new video about it? ;o)

Awesome bike you still have it? I have the same bike mine is a 95
Yes, still have it. Runs and rides great. Planning to ride it tomorrow! Hope you enjoy yours!
I am looking at a 94 k1100lt for 3k, 40k miles on it. 2 hardshell bmw bags, that's it. Thoughts?

Only 54763 Miles on it. :-)
That’s right. Except now it has about 3,000 more miles since I brought it home in December. Runs and rides great!
