Cheap Bike Build Off Part 2 - Overview

Part 2! Just a brief overview of the bike before I tear it down. #cheapbikebuildoff
This 1991 Raleigh USA Talon is a super nice frame. Dropouts are nice, welds are great. Pretty amazing frame for a low end bike at
the time. Usually at that level you would get a bolt-on rear wheel with a freewheel and claw mount rear derailleur.
The Shimano 200GS stuff is all in good shape. I will try to keep all of it to keep the cost in check. Lots of plastic over-molded stuff like the crank arms and cantis. The 4-finger plastic brake levers are a classic nod to dirt bikes of that era.
Next up is the teardown and evaluate what stays and what goes.
