Thank you for posting this. I have a friend who is interested in the Mini Max. I have the Omnium E-Cargo V3 (size XS) and I agree with everything you say here. I also feel mine is a beautiful, well made bike, and it is so much fun to ride! I bought it with e-assist because if I carry heavy loads up hills, I personally would need the extra power, but even when I don't really need the bike for its cargo space, I still tend to decide to take the Omnium for a ride. No regrets!
Thank you for your comment. The Omnium E-Cargo V3 is a really cool bike! I totally understand that you bought it with e-assist if you need to carry heavy loads up hills.
That’s awesome! Bullitts are also super cool? Totally agree-once you experience the convenience and fun of a cargo bike, there’s no going back! Glad to hear it’s your favorite thing too!
This was a fun and amazing review. Thanks for sharing your experience and appreciation for a quality product. (One of my favorite reviews on the Omnium Mini Max, which I currently have on my wish list). Question, if this applies to you: I also was considering the belt-drive. Can you comment on cycling uphill? Is there any noticable difference or performance limitation? And with regards to the challenge of hauling your Mini Max on trains, Dam Good makes an Omnium Cargo hinge that allows the front cargo to fold into a vertical position for easier parking and storage. Thanks again for your expert review!!!
Thank you very much for your comment and the kind words. I really appreciate it! I am very satisfied with the belt drive and the 8 gears. Denmark is relatively flat but the bike manages the few hills we have without any problems. I have only tried the regular chain for a few minutes when I test drove the different bikes so I can’t really comment on that option. I did not know about the hinge for train rides. Thank you! 🙏🏼
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the review. I totally get it-Omnium Mini Max are in high demand, especially in North America. I’ve heard that some people have had luck checking with local dealers. You can check out the website for more information about that. Hope you’re able to get one soon; they’re definitely worth it
At the end I chose the Yoonit (with the 400 liter bag in combination with the Job Carrier) as it is as capable as the Minimax or even the Cargo but it is more compact. And for sure: I still love the Omnium (the colors are awesome)
Thank you for your comment. I have never heard about the Yoonit before. I just checked it out online. It looks super cool and very capable. Great choice!
Thank you for your comment and your support. I appreciate it a lot. I think it is possible to order the bike from one of their dealers in the UK. If you take a look a the website it looks like there are a lot of options all around the UK.
Have you got any vintage cargo or carrier - butchers bike ie the colours are usually black ' with shop signs hanging inside the frame ' or any vidioes about them 🇬🇧🏴
@@frederikwintherlarsen thats ashame ' yeah shops ie small ones used them to dekiver groceries ' the signs usually advitised their shops ' ive heared people call them tradesmans bikes also ' anyway thanks 🏴🇬🇧👍
I totally understand. I actually decided to make this review because so many people around the world cannot go and test drive the bikes. But trust me - it is amazing.
I have two locks and insurance for the bike. I don’t spend time worrying about it because it is not something I can control. Also I have lived in Copenhagen since 2010 and I never had my bike stolen :-)
This bike looks amazing, but I’m not sure how I could fit two children onto an omnium, plus have it go up with me in the lift at home (no secure bike parking at my flat)
Omnium actually posted a picture of a bike built for a costumer with twins. It is possible but I agree that other bikes might be more practical. But probably also less exciting to ride 🤠🚲 Link to instagram post: instagram.com/p/C_LFwnusTXI/?igsh=MTVycW0yeDZjNXNkZw==

Thank’s for the great review! Greetings from a fellow MiniMax owner in Finland.
You are welcome! Thank you for your comment. Nice to know that the Minimax has also made it to Finland.
Same! I own a Bullitt. While it was expensive it’s now my favorite thing I own and I could never imagine not owning a cargo bike again.

I'm so tempted to buy one of these!
I totally understand! I am very happy that I decided to buy it! 🚲
Nice bike. I want one. Another option is to add a front and rear rack to a hybrid bike to use as a light cargo bike.
Thank you for your comment. I appreciate it! And yes that would be really cool. Great idea!
Awesome review. I want a Mini Max but they’re always out of stock on the Canada/USA website

Amazing bike and great review!
Thank you so much!
that is a sweet bike. it looks unique too.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your comment.
Sadly, as far i am aware, Omnium bikes don't seem to be available in the UK. Great looking bike. Enjoy it.

how do you lock it in the city?? especially in CPH, are you worried about bike theft?
