Yo! You did an excellent job of showcasing how to properly set up a frame to build a bike. Anyone can bolt parts together to make a bike go… it takes skill and patience to do what you have shown in this series…. And the bike looks great! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, and thanks for the nod!
Came because of the #cheapbikebuiltoff. Like the outcome of the Raleigh. One more follower. Looking forward to see your other bike builts. Greetings from Germany
Love the cantis and the tyres. really great look - frame is great too. My only gripe is with those old stems. they just don't look nice to me, even if they are period correct :) But then again, that's personal taste more than anything
Thank you! Yeah, the stem is a plain Jane functional piece. It’s not a beauty, but a cooler stem would’ve catapulted the cost way over $150 USD. Cheers!
@ReferenceBicycle and you pal 👍 it's been an amazing journey in the last 5 months, finally being pushed to show and share my passion for the old retro bikes. I've been putting it off for so many years. Thank you for your kind words, and I'll 100% stay in contact with you all and look forward to future projects and builds and all that come with it. Take care, mate 👍

Same goes for me!
Are you one to remove factory coating from a new chain and reapply lube?
Definitely.
