    Come on man, you left those basic cables for the derailleurs. Put Shimano optislick cables for less friction in the system and better gear changing, especially on 105 and when running full housing from the levers to the derailleurs. Otherwise, very nice build :) I might get the same frame in the near future. I wish you safe and fun rides!

      😅 true, I cheaped out on cable housings and got Jagwire CEX and LEX. They work well enough for my purposes for now. Thanks! Safe and fun riding to you as well, and if you do end up getting the frame let me know.

    My experience, put cable longer than it need few centimeters for easy turn your head set 180* after finish your build. It very helpful when you got bike balance on corner and change line on high speed riding. 😊

    Looking forward to assembling my project, very similar to yours, assembling with a Shimano 105 hydraulic group, vision 50mm wheels, I will try to make a video of the assembly.

    • @henrychungfitness
      @henrychungfitness  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good that you’re going hydraulic! Mine was hybrid so mechanical cables for the brake line and salt water got into the housing which made the cable stick. Atleast with hydraulic it’s a closed system 👍 the only headache is doing maintenance on the cables with 4 of them in the handlebar

    Can you send me the link to aliexpress for mechanical brake calipers?
    I didn't see it in the video. Is the rear caliper 160? 140?
    I ordered this frame after your videos, I think I will use mechanical disc brakes like you. thanks. :)

    I'm thinking about getting a hygge, can I ask about your inseam and the arm span? I'm not sure what stem lenght to get, but first - are you comfortable on the bike or would you change anything over that time?

    • @henrychungfitness
      @henrychungfitness  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My inseam is about 33” to the bottom of my feet, and arm span about 72”. I personally like the bike, but fit is always unique to the individual. Depends on upper body torso length, leg length, mobility/flexibility etc. I’d suggest comparing your current bike geometry to the chart on geometrygeeks.com

    Can you tell what type of greasers you used during assembly? Carbon paste for carbon parts obviously i guess, and what else?
    And tools😮 much appreciate if you tell)
    Wanna try to assemble myself too)

    • @henrychungfitness
      @henrychungfitness  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used automotive grease (probably not the best but that’s all I had), carbon paste for the seatpost. Tools: torque wrench, cable cutters, internal cable routing tool, hex keys, saw, super glue and some others I might have missed but should be seen in my build videos. Best of luck building!

    mate hello, when removing the cables from the front, how did you pass the front tong? 2 cables from the right, 2 cables from the left, did you pass the tongs through the middle like this? 4 cables hardly pass through the front, it compresses. I have a lot of difficulty in installation. can you help?

    • @henrychungfitness
      @henrychungfitness  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it’s a very difficult procedure and there’s barely any space. I think ultimately it works, but these bikes were designed not for mechanical in my opinion. Best of luck and patience will do it

    Did you have any problems while adjusting the gear settings? Because there is no stopper for the mechanical gear on the frame, I wonder how you solved this problem.
