Hi this is the first video I have watched of yours, I dropped my s21 ultra getting of the budget rental car bus returning back to airport. I am so bummed. I do have insurance with a 200 co pay. So I was looking and this is the first video. I appreciated the different views, I thought it was very cool. Wish I could of seen all the views at same time or at least 2 at a time. There was times when your hand was in the way... thanks for the video

Hi what model is this? I got my g9980 repaired in Ireland g998b part is assume) and no reception so had to change back . I'm guessing they just didn't swop the antennae? Still struggling to find a g9980 repair kit
Great video, my screen is black although the touch still works. I can see the device when I connect to external screen. Can you recommend what screen kit I need to buy?
I purchased a front screen and cracked my rear 'glass' during disassembly... however I actually wanted to point out that the new screen came with the volume buttons and on/off button installed, but I tested the phone before refitting the rear cover, the on/off button did not work, so (after watching another repair video) I removed my original on/off button from my broken screen case and installed that.. the phone now works perfectly...just hoping i wont drop it again :( .. thanks for the video!
Great video again, if you dont mind I have two question. Is there a specific double sided tape recommended for the battery if swapping it over to the new frame?
For putting back the back cover, iv seen others put a bead of silicone around the whole phone, do you do this, if yes what silicone is needed exactly?
I only use T7000, but you could use B7000 not recommend or black cold press clue. Harder but you can also use tesa tape.
hey Tech MD i'm currently doing one as watch your video, is it best to transfer over the original front camera & vibrator to new housing/frame even if it comes with those parts pre-fitted?

Great video and very detailed...I have a question: If a Galaxy s21 screen goes black but phone still works does that usually mean s touch screen replacement? that's what has happened to me --I did try hard resetting, tapping, massaging, shaking and freezing for 10 min but still screen is black...
Hi Tech MD, I called You Break I Fix to get a screen replacement on my Samsung s21 Ultra. After watching your video I'm terrified of having it replaced! Lol.....the scratches are on the glass and very minor. Wonder if I should just leave it?

Just a quick question. My S21 ultra recently fell off the window of my car (Samsung genuine phone holder) and took a chip out of the glass and a small hole. within 1min I had a 2mm solid bar across the screen and some flickering below that bar. That is a full screen replacement correct?
Also I was having issue with the screen. Felt like I was getting lower refresh rates more often than no. I was about to take it back to Samsung and complain about that issue to them. So If we replace the screen completely it's going to fix that issue? what is your opinion?
@26 minutes th screen with the crack is almost the same as mine. Same side, Same area and almost the same damage. Thought it was mine for a minute.

@@TechMDTH-cam I didn’t notice until after I turned on the phone and it tried to boot up and then shut off so I disconnected everything and that’s when I noticed. Long story short It’s on charge and I’m hoping it will be good in the morning. But now I’m going to be up all night panic googling to get enough hope to fall asleep. Thanks for your help.

Sure, you can replace with the same battery, but no upgrade on capacity.
Do I have to replace the entire screen or can I just replace the glass. My screen is fine, it's just the glass that is cracked.

Shouldn't you be using a plastic tool to pry the back panel off? I would think any metal on glass and paint has a high chance of scratching it.

just had a black screen on my s21 ultra battery was low put on charge at bed time woke up the next morning and its black screen can heare it charge and feel it vibrate just no screen and no screen damage ive tried everything and nothing gets it working some have said its battery others say screen but screens are so exspensive not even sure its worth repairing so annoying that these dont even last over a year without just braking on there own
Hi. I have a Samsung s21 ultra SM G998B/DS. I replaced the LCD screen and after that the phone has not cellular signal. Only a circle with a diagonal line. I did hard reset• Update software to android 12. Partition reset. Changed battery and charging port. Moved the gammel gps antenna to the new screen. Nothing work. Could be the signal flex cable or logic board or a automatic system to turn off radio signal? Need help
I need to take it to a professional who has the tools to test all this.

I broke the damn antenna. What are my options now? Smh. Everything was easy until I had no tri wing. I knew I was going to do this.
I have a 21 plus 5g Samsung stuck on a black screen. Force stop hasn’t worked and I can feel it vibrate like it’s on. HELP! 😭I’ve only had it 5 months and I’ve never dropped it idk how it even happened
Try holding in the volume down and power on keys for about 15 seconds until you see the Samsung screen come on. It should initiate a system reboot.
I had the exact same issue and I sent it to samsung but I had to purchase the samsung care which cost me $326 and some cent.and it covers me for 2years.im surprised yours is exactly the same with what I face.i bought the phone in may 2021 and in September the screen was black but it vibrant.
@@abigailboateng6542 it actually did it twice and honestly I just left it on the charger and when I figured it was charged after some hours I disconnected it and just left it alone. 2 days later my screen came back. Idk what in the world but this is bs. We already pay a high enough price for the damn thing. Sorry you had to pay more to fix it. Next time give it a couple days after force restarting and recharging
Why don't you just send the phone back to Samsung and request a fix or change of screen or whatever is causing the issues? I had the sam issues, tried to restart is or plug in the charger to make sure it not any silly thing, and once I was sure it's a phone issue, had the phone sent to Samsung on warranty to fix there problems. If I'll have the issue again (As I see online that if nothing is changed in the phone, the issue comes back every now and then) I'll ask for my money back.
I had to stop watching after a few minutes, when you were slicing round that back with the metal thin opener, especially when you had never done one before, wafer thin plastic for that, until the battery is disconnected at least.... Crazy

It's AMOLED, not LCD
I never buy Samsung, Apple again. They do this intentionally. Why not make a screen with plastics. These are so difficult to replace.
Because most people don't want a cheap plastic screen that is going to scratch every time you put it in your pocket.
@@zayk6713 Better to have scratches than a broken glass. Plus they are easy and cheaper to replace. By the way on my good plastic screen I rarely had any scratch e.g. Motorola etc.
