My amazon storefront: www.amazon.com/shop/tregstrav... One year review of the OEM Ford hard rolling tonneau cover. Please comment below with any questions!
I highly recommend it! I picked some up from autozone but they also have it on Amazon. 303 Automotive Protectant - Provides Superior UV Protection, Helps Prevent Fading and Cracking, Repels Dust, Lint, and Staining, Restores Lost Color and Luster, 16oz (30382CSR) Packaging May Vary a.co/d/5dtmHHP
While Ford sells it, its likely from Bak Industries. It looks exactly like the Bak Revolver. I have an earlier version I bought directly, and my experience is that it is convenient and a great space saver on a short bed F-150. Very convenient over the tri-fold tops. I park my truck outside, and over time, the top surface deteriorated and cracked even if after using a protectant. Just my experience. Also the felt is really a requirement on hot days as I have found the bottom gets really hot on sunny days. Otherwise I enjoyed using it, but I would not replace it.
I have a 2012 F150 and bought the 1st generation of this cover (BAK Industries) from them. It had problems and they replaced it for free just after the warranty expired. That 2nd one lasted 8 years... and I just bought another one. I think it is the best truck cover out there and they have made improvements over time. Do you still use this when you don't have your soft topper on your truck?
That's awesome to hear from someone that has used one for so long! Originally my plan was to swap them back and forth and use them for different purposes but I have loved my softopper so much I ended up selling my tonneau cover and just using my softopper full time. I really loved the tonneau cover, the softopper just gives me so much more versatility and taller storage space 👍🏻
Mine fell completely apart, the felt peeled off, and the black cover detached from the aluminum. It’s rebranded as BAK. Going back to hard panel cover.
@@TregsTravels 4 years, I had it on f150 Platinum, it cost me 1200 dollars. I just bought a 23 Raptor, researching them now, leaning towards Gator brand in the panels
How much does the protectant cost? Is it something that can be purchased from a store? Those are my only concerns. I’ve been wondering how will it last under the sun and will it fade. Thanks great review.

There's the link to it on Amazon , it's about $15 👍🏼 it's a 303 surface protectant with UV protection. I wash the cover with water, dry it then spray the 303 on there every couple months and it looks brand new!
After a few weeks after picking up my Maverick with the factory hard roll up, the felt separated from the aluminum. It leaks in the rear corners as well. I’ll see what the dealership says.
@@TregsTravels only the ones that stand up over 90% of the trifolds stay down. Ill admit i forgot about the standup ones but the ford hard folding stays down on our f250s
@@link762698 gotcha lol, I think that was the point I was trying to make...that I could roll it all the way up and still see out the back. It was my first TH-cam video haha, I'm still learning a lot. Thanks for the feedback, wish you the best!
Thank you for the review. I just bought the X4s for my Ford F-150. I will definitely get the 303 protectant to use on it, thanks to this review.

Great info! Thanks for the review!
Anything for the soggy sleeves crew!

Good to know! How long have you had yours?
I recommend adding camera shots of opening and closing the tailgate and demonstrating the seal between cover and the tailgate.
Thank you for nice demo overall!
Thanks for the feedback!! I honestly appreciate it, it always helps me for the next video

That's such a bummer! Hopefully that warranty covers everything for you.
Great review, I like the ford logo. What’s the part no. Thanks

Mind sharing a link to the protective spray that you use on it? I have one of these on the way to my dealer now.
Of course! Congrats on the new cover! amzn.to/3MRinWr

I have the same one on the passenger side it won’t lay flat after rolling it up.
That's a bummer! How long have you had it? I think it has a 3 year warranty right?
Glue failing around perimeter, felt protectors falling off, vinyl splitting on top, leaks at rear corners.
Thanks for the feedback! It's good to hear other's experiences with the cover...is yours still under warranty?
Video on the bed camera?
Yeah my truck has a bed camera that I can turn on while I'm driving
@@TregsTravels did you install it yourself and if so what camera is it?
It looks like a BAK just rebranded as Ford
I agree! They don't say who manufactures it anywhere in the manual but it looks just like the Bakflip x4
I have it for my Maverick and I live in Florida, due to the heat of the summer I had to get one side of the felt re glued.
what the hell are you talking about, none of the hard folding tonneau covers block as much view out the back window as your rolling cover.
When a tri fold is completely folded up it blocks the entirety of the back window. I guess we can disagree haha
