Using an Air Fryer Powered by my F150 Powerboost Onboard Generator to Make a Spicy Chicken Sandwich!
Hey, first off thank you for the video. I'm gonna go check out some of your other camping videos, but figured I would just ask here. If I buy this it will be strictly to sleep in on the road. How do u get in and out? From inside. I do have an automatic tailgate release on my key fob, but sometimes my tailgate doesn't drop lol.
Thanks for this review. I’ve been debating this or the Pitman Airbedz. This one is half the price. The Pitman has some coils in the middle to keep the centre from sinking which is appealing…but double the price is killer. How has this held up a year later? Thanks again!
Mirror carp!!
Thanks for the video on the HD Sled, I am looking at picking one up for myself and like you found it very difficult to find any information on it. Wondering if you could tell me how long the section is on the side rail that dips down lower. I had the idea of installing a track on that section for mounting accessories.
What did you use for your low beams? I had ordered a set but they were just a touch too long. I think the tip of the LED unit was just barely touching the projector lens to be able to seat them properly.
Great video! I really like several of the items you’ve found to make it more organized/comfortable. I have a Honda Ridgeline w/Softopper plus exact tailgate tent. I’ll definitely add a few of your ideas.
Sweet! Sounds like a nice setup! Thanks for the support!
I'm 68 years old now and will be 69 later this year. I had a Harley Davidson 1200 I've been riding most of my life. And I now have a mega moto 212 Mini Bike frame all I need now is a engine for it I'll have to get it sometime this spring it's just to darn cold here in Maine lol. I always wanted one and I will be riding mine soon. Be safe and have fun.
The mega moto isn't gonna be quite as smooth as your Harley but it is just as fun!! That's awesome, riding mini bikes is guaranteed to keep you feeling young!
Very nice. Thanks
You're welcome! Thanks for the support!
Just got mine
Sweet! Hopefully you're in a warm climate or have a heated garage to install in in because it's a little difficult to stretch that canvas the first time in the cold!
@TregsTravels it was about 50 degrees when I installed it. It took more than an hour but I got it. I'm liking it so far. I had a hard shell but bought a 5th wheel camper.
That’s Jacob city!
That's right!!
💪
🙏🏻👊💯
I bought mine used. I like it, except for the felt fell off in the hot summer, it leaks water through the corners and is frozen during winter.
I've heard that about the felt in the summertime...to be honest I switched to a softopper and have loved it!
Is it because it's such a small amount of gas that you don't need venting in that bottle? Just curious would like to keep some spare gas on my bt200x
Yeah and you don't fill the bottle all the way up so there's room for the gas to expand if it heats up. I've ran this all over in the hot dessert and haven't had any issues 👍
Put the link in the description instead
Ok I'll do that 👍 here's the link just in case amzn.to/40NH3q4
@@TregsTravels thanks. I’ve got the same bike and it’s so much fun I used some of the upgrades you showed in your videos and there great
@ awesome! Glad you've liked them. I'm itching to get out and make some more videos on them...it's been too long
I also been wanting to get out and make some videos. I’ve got a channel with some cool mini bike stuff
@@RileyDohnal-be4uosubscribed 👍 keep it up!
i would if mine had suspension
Yeah, the full suspension makes a world of difference
Yep im sold. I have a Truck tent now from Rightline and it's kind of a pain to setup. Been thinking about getting a topper and i think i will now.
Much easier in my opinion! No need to empty the truck bed or spend 10 minutes setting up 👍
Great camper. May I recommend a white tarp floating over the whole truck with 4 simple extendible posts?
That's a great idea! Nice shade to keep it cooler in the summer 👍
Well done. Just the info I was looking for after my decision to do truck camping. Keep it simple. Question. Any thoughts on the Joytutus tent on Amazon?
Thank you! I think it's a nice tent...it has a few downfalls in my opinion. Setup time is about 10 minutes. If you're camping and need to run into town that's a lot of setup and take down...you also have to have everything out of the bed of the truck to set it up. With the softopper I like to have everything all setup and ready to drive without a lot of moving things around and setting up
Do you have any experience with the Joytutus Full Truck Tent I mentioned?
@@daveholte7658 my friend had one and I checked it out but that's about it
Must’ve seam sealed the buckle straps, cause they soak up water and drip on the inside like nobody’s business.
Yeah I definitely did! I did it as soon as I got the topper so I guess I don't know any different
Easy enough.. exactly what I will be doing tomorrow morning. Thanks
Yep! Not bad to maintain at all
I enjoyed your video. I am heading to this Cirque this summer and am planning on bringing my fly rod. What do you recommend throwing in these mountain lakes?
Awesome! Highly recommend it. It can vary quite a bit but I always make sure I have some caddis, mayflies, midges and some terrestrials...if I remember right I caught most of those fish on a purple ant
By journey that would also include the friends along the way
100%!
Agree.
💯
I'd like solo
The solo trips are special too!
You are NEVER alone in the company of mother nature.
@@jakobsime4190💯💯
Ehhh some journeys are meant and best done alone
I agree...solo trips have their place and their own special appeal
A twin size mattress, couple coolers, and a snack bag under a hard camper shell and I roll. Dont mind sleeping in the reclining seats of my extended cab if I want a little heat or air. Great for 2 or 3 day road trips to beach towns on Michigan. Easy to find free parking with a view.
Sounds like a great setup, and you've got the right idea about finding a spot with a view!
The cumpany uwu
Why not get rid of the cot? It lets cold air sap your warmth from underneath. If you're not using a thermarest mat or something like it you are losing most your heat to the cot. But that foam floor should have a decent R value.
You're totally right, in the summertime the cold air under the cot is great. I do have an insulated sleeping pad that I use directly on the floor in the winter sometimes...the foam floor is the real secret though and saves your knees!
That is so scary. I’m so glad you’re alright!
I know! Scared me in the moment, I can laugh now lol. Thanks!
Silly boy
😝
Sweet! Was the Coleman harder to start in the cold ?
@@johnmartin5153yeah haha took a lot of pull starts then I had to let it warm up for about 10 minutes
@ I can honestly say that makes me feel better about mine 😂😂 It started easy in the summer now it takes many tries to fire it up.
Thanks everyone! Here's the links: I've noticed that they keep going out of stock on amazon so let me know if that's the case and I can help you find one elsewhere! Affiliate links to my Amazon store for the Jet Sled HD and Accessories Shappell Jet Sled HD (Kodiak 1): amzn.to/4h7WVZN SWB3 Wear Bar Kit: amzn.to/4abFchQ Jet Sled Hitch: amzn.to/3C5iL10
Thsnks for the video. Ive looked before to see actual footage of the hd sleds.
I knew someone probably had the same thought I did! Thank you, I hope it was helpful!
Nice set up!!
Thank you! It's simple but I love it!
Half the fun of it is figuring out how to make what you have work. You’ve done a great job and get your son introduced to camping as fast as you can.
Thank you! He loves it...we try to get out as much as we can...he loves telling his fishing stories!
It looks like to me the mini bikes would beat you to death on a trail.
It's definitely not the smoothest ride lol...I ride slightly standing up on the pegs so my back doesn't get slammed...the new b200 rsv's have a rear suspension and are a lot smoother I hear!
What about power?
I put the predator 224 on there with a torque converter, new exhaust, billet flywheel and nibbi carb 👍 I need to do a whole build series!
i love riding my mini bike🤣🤣
Me too! Such a different experience from a regular dirt bike
Aloha.....this is so very helpful in my quest to find a way to use my Tacoma for overnight camping. You've inspired me with this video. I'm kinda old (82) and not really wanting to camp out for days.....just a quick trip to the beach and not wanting to spend megabucks for an airbnb.....and definitely NOT wanting to pitch a tent, etc, etc. So thank you very much!!!
Age is just a number! That is awesome!! Sounds like a simple truck camper is just what you need. Highly recommend doing the foam gym mats! It'll save your knees and feet 👍 let me know how it goes!
60 tooth gives you torque in exchange for top end. When ever changing gearing, That's the balance you are trading.
💯 -I love that extra torque out on the trails! These things are beasts now
Nice...🎉
Thanks!
Miss your car camping content! anything new coming up?
This made my day! Thank you for the inspiration...life has a way of getting in the way of a good time! But I will get something planned and filmed! I've got a few ideas that I need to do in the next few weeks 👊 I appreciate the support!!
Super awesome video!
Thank you!!
Do you find that the window scratches easily?
I didn't notice it too much with my clear window...but I got the tinted one and now I can see small scratches on it
@ it’s cool they sell replacements, I will be careful, but shouldn’t stress. Thanks
Do you have a link for the spacer that goes between the carb and motor?? Thanks for the videos!!
This should be the one right here!: amzn.to/3ZRCedl Appreciate it!!
@@TregsTravels Thanks!
What is the phone holder called?
It's by rockbros... amzn.to/3Bol3s0
Go
👊💯
Can you run these through a car wash?
Yeah I take it through a touch less car wash all the time
Sportsmans warehouse here in Oregon sells them i want the camo one id like to tune one up to get more speed! I want to buy the bike for a scout tool when i camp in the woods to explore sling my rifle hand gun pilot goggles then go!
That's awesome! That's exactly what we do with these. They're tanks!
How long is your cot?
It's 6ft...I have to sleep with the tailgate down with the tent extension off the topper when I use the cot
Thanks for this video, I had not seen the Topper tent before. Now I have to figure out if I want convenience or room!
You're welcome! In my opinion it just depends on how much you're moving around...if you're gonna camp for a couple days and not move your truck then the DAC tent definitely gives you more room but if you're moving spots every day or driving your truck the topper tent is a ton more convenient
